Where did iTunes plus go?

I've got iTunes Match, but some of my songs that I purchased from the iTunes store are in AAC protected mode. I'd really like to have the 256k version, and I'd like to have the unprotected version too... I want to burn a disc with them on it.
Specifically, The Best of Caetano Veloso, the whole album...I bought it from the iTunes store in Feb 2007. A beautiful album, btw.
But it shows as Protected AAC and 128k. 9 of the 15 tracks show as "matched". The other 6 tracks on the album show "uploaded".
i want
1) to have the unprotected iTunes Plus version, and
2) to have the 256k better audio.
Any way to do this? I'd pay the upgrade price but iTunes Plus seems to have vanished..
Using iTunes 10.5.3. Lion 10.7.3.

It's still there but Apple has it hidden at the moment. I was able to get to the iTunes + page by clicking the home icon and then quickly and I mean quickly, moving my mouse to click on iTunes + before it disappeared.

The iTunes app cannot disappear ... it may be on a different screen.
Regardless, you can force it to your home screen by doing:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

ITunes Plus songs redownloading in 128 kbps

Does anyone else have an issue where upgraded iTunes Plus songs/albums will randomly redownload in 128 kbps? It has happened repeatedly for me over the course of the past several months where I'll be prompted for my iTunes Store login and then a random album, previously upgraded to iTunes Plus, will redownload in it's previous 128 kbps version. Thoughts?

Yes, that has been reported here a few times.
The iCloud re-download capability is still in beta, so they are still working out the kinks. However, in the meantime you should contact iTunes Customer Service and request the proper (256 kb/s) versions of your songs.

How do I remove the duplicates that appeared after upgrading to iTunes Plus

I upgraded some of my music to the itunes plus (better quality?) and chose to send the old files to the recycle bin. All went well. The new files were added in itunes and there were no duplicates. Later we synced an ipod touch and when asked if we wanted to transfer purchases from the itouch before syncing my son responded yes. This created duplicates of the songs. The problem is ..... How do I tell which is the upgraded song so I can delete the old version?

There are various ways of doing it.
If you go to View>>Options and ensure that "Kind" is checked, old tracks will usually say "Protected AAC..." whereas the iTunes Plus tracks as shown as "Purchased AAC".
You can use this information in a smart play list to get all the tracks you don't want together for easy deletion.
You can also Look at Get info>>Summary tab.
Oldtracks will generally have 128 bit rate and an M4p file extension. iTunes Plus tracks have 256 bit rate and an M4a file extension.

Itunes plus question - don't know where to turn

Hi,
I'm really confused on Itunes Plus and what I did with it.
I accepted the option and upgraded everything I had to the Itunes Plus.
Now, in my purchased area are all the songs I upgraded. Do I, physically, have to now move them into all the various folders the songs were already in before Itunes Plus or did that upgrade do it automatically? Can I delete those songs from the purchased area safely without moving them and copying them to my other subcategories on my Ipod?
I'm really lost when it comes to using this forum or getting tech support. I'm a geezer who can work an Ipod and buy/load music. Things like this change to Itunes Plus, confuse me.
I like keeping an empty purchased folder but I don't want to erase these upgrade purchases until I'm sure that they were upgraded on the areas where I already had them on my Ipod.
Also, one more question, does using Itunes Plus mean I can play these songs on another mp3 players besides an Ipod?
Would you please be kind enough to write me directly with your answers?

It is probably not a good idea to post your e-mail on a public forum.
The purchased is just a list of purchased music. There is no reason to delete it from there or even look in there.
All of the songs should be on your library with all of your other music. I don't know if they are in whatever playlists that you put them in. You can look and see.

Now, I find myself unable to update my version of Itunes. it asks me if I wish to update the version, I say yes, and then nothing happens.
With that one, I'd try updating using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file, downloaded from the Apple Website:

I subscribed to aPPLE'S Cloud and uploaded a nice sized library consisting of Apple Store purchases, CD's I downloaded over a period of years, and some MP3 trax purchased from Amazon. I'm looking for a quick answer -- is the Apple Cloud a fraud and I should get out of it, or am I a dummie because there is a quick and easy fix?

Where did my iTunes go? I upgraded my iphone4 and it removed my iTunes and other apps too. What happend and how can I get iTunes back on my iphone4..? Also a photo album from my iPhoto on my computer sync with my iPhone and I cant figure out how to delete that album.

Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure iTunes is set to On. If it is then look through all your screens and inside all your folders because it can't be deleted.
You delete albums synced to your phone by unchecking them on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing your phone.

What happens when you try to redownload them?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
On a computer go to iTunes>Store>View Account>Sign in and go to purchased history and see if you actually purchased them.
Try redeeming the card again

HT2905 Display Duplicates is missing from iTunes 11 .. Where did it go?

Downloaded the Latest iTunes 11.
It looks good, except I can not find the Display Duplicates Function. Where did it go?

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background.
