It might be out of memory. Close all apps you're not using using the toolbar that comes up when you double click on the home button. Press and hold any icon and then tap on the red minus (-) symbol of the apps you're not using.

Where did the  text logo come from.

I know this is a stupid question and i know i will get stupid remarks but i want to know where and hoe the  logo became text. I have seen it alot and i have used it alot but i wish to know. maybe if i had been an apple person longer i might know.

How it became text?!? You mean, kinda like how someone put it into a font, or what the decision was to put it in fonts in the first place?....to both questions, the answer is "yes".

I am having an issue where safari keeps crashing and returning to the home screen on an ipad1

safari on my ipad1 keeps crashing and returning to the home screen. rebooting does not fix the problem neither has a full reset through itunes from a backup or setting up as a new machine. Cab nay body help?

If restoring from a backup doesn't help, you must have something corrupt in the backup - like a Safari bookmark perhaps - or something in the Safari history. Try the last tip in this list first.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

My iPad has started to sign out of all applications and go back to home screen is this an known issue and can this be fixed??? :(

My iPad is only a few months old but lately when I click on any applications its closes out and goes back to the home screen. This is driving me mad, because I do love my iPad, but now its seriously making me question why I bought it. Please help

Have you used any sort of "tuner" software? You are obviously an advanced user. Sometimes we hack things up and forget about it later. If you are sure you didn't do that, maybe poke around with IPv6 settings. Supposedly people are trying to enable that and it is going to be a disaster.

Where did my applications, music files and many others go in Lion?

I recently installed Lion. Today I was looking for some files on my MacBook Pro. When I used the finder to search for files (like music, etc.) all of the files within the finder were empty! It doesn't even show a list of applications...help!

N/M I just downloaded a free APP that I did not own in itunes and the applications area opened up with all my APPS.

I have iPhoto version 2 and no matter how many photos I upload from my camera or albums I create, all the photos mysteriously move to the photo file, found in viewer window.
That said, each time I try to open the iPhoto application or update it I consistantly get an error window that states:
An eligible iPhoto application could not be found in/Applications.
And so I search and there is an iPhoto icon in the App folder but it has no content.
So what happened to my content?

Hi merle,
You or someone using your computer might have moved the iPhoto.app to a subfolder of the applications folder or even somewhere else. It needs to be loose in the applications folder in order to be updated.
I am guessing by your post that when you connect your camera that iPhoto opens and imports your photos.
do a search in the Finder for iPhoto and tell me what comes up in the search.
The iPhoto Library folder is where the photos are stored. It might be in the documents folder but it should be in the Pictures folder. Do a search for iPhoto Library and in the search results you will find the path of the folder.

Where did my applications holder go?

I dragged it from finder and dropped it in the dock. A little cloud appeared and it is gone. I can find it with the search thing at the top right but don't know where it is. When I "get info" it says in the 'Where:' part "/Applications".
Where can it be? I want it on the dock. Thanks.

Next double-click "Macintosh HD"

I just noticed that my applications icon on the left hand side has vanished. You can see it all over this page under the podcast icon. What gives ? I did wipe the MAC and reinstall the OS but everything is upgraded. In this application area I could update my mobile apps using itunes and such.

I checked the consol and it returned this error:
Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using NSQuickDrawView, which has been deprecated. Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz.
Software issue, needs fixing! How do I fix it?

A restore does. If you are using the iphone as designed, then everything should be on your computer.

Applications have disappeared after personalising home screen

I hope someone can help...
My intention was for my little one to have their games easily available and other all other icons in 2 folders.
I moved all the upper icons from the top frame (mail, contacts, internet browser etc) into 1 of the folders......
I then thought.... I will move the 2 folders into the upper frame, giving a seperation so all games are in the lower frame.
This is when I got an error message (I didn't note what it was---errr) and then sadly, my folder and it's contents disappeared. Within this is App World, Set up, mail, contacts etc etc.
Can anyone help as to how I might be able to retrieve them or how to do a factory restore......

Nobody is quite sure why this happens but there may be a limit to how many icons you can cram into the top dock area. There have been stated in the past ways to get them back, (you could search the forum) but if the icons are nowhere to be seen, and a simple restart does not fix it, then maybe a factory reset is quicker.
If you have important data that needs backing up you need to do that by connecting to a PC or Mac with the relevant Desktop Software installed and do the backup (media data only) command.
Then the factory reset is in Playbook's Settings (gear wheel icon) then Security then Security Wipe. Make sure you know your current Blackberry ID and Password as it will take you right through the same setup routine that you used when it came out of the box.
Restore data only (Media) as if you restore all it may reinstall the chaos. Then reinstall the apps from App World (My World uninstalled list) and they will all be free provided you use the same Blackberry ID. Reinstall email accounts etc.

In many, many apps Apple has now created a confusing array of "save as..", "export", and "duplicate" all doing essentially the same thing - saving a new copy elsewhere possibly with format changes. Drives me nuts.
But its always there.
