Where did my calendars go?

I have a new macbook pro with Mavericks. None of my calendar events migrated from my old macbook pro - all I have now is iCloud calendar.  How do I get the previous calendar events back - I have so many calendars with repeating events I hate to lose them.

Thanks for responding.
Went to Genius at Apple Store.
He found I somehow had opened in individual windows, copies of some of the individual google calendars that were linked to my Calendar app.  Once those were all closed, Calendar quit and then reopened... all my Calendars appeared as before.
I have no idea how I happened to open those individual calendar windows.  I back in business now.  Thanks.

  • Where did the calendar list go in the day view?

In Yosemite, it has happened - the list view is gone from the day view in calendar.
iOS7 took it away, and they restored it because of popular demand.
Let the requests begin to restore it in OS X calendar.
You can never see all the appointments in a day without it, even on my Thunderbolt display.

Well i did find them but they are not working.  Under keyboard in settings.    Like I have one that
    Call me
Shortcut is cm.   anyplace I'm typing if I write cm, call me would be a option shown and auto type.   They are there but not working.  Any ideas?

  • Where did my calendars go when I switched to Lion/iCloud?

I just switched to Lion and iCloud, because of the imminent loss of MobileMe's calendar sync'ing, and found that iCal failed to import a number of calendars that I had stored in MobileMe.  I went to me.com, converted to iCloud there, and saw it say that 850 items were moved to iCloud.  But my Mac and iPhone have lost several calendars that had been on me.com.  Does anyone know why this happened, or how to recover those calendars?

Did you press the "Show" button?

  • Where did my calendar go?

I just got an iPhone 5, and hoping to sync with my iPad calendar sent it to the cloud.  Now both calendars are completely blank.  Where is my info, and how do I get it back on the devices?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the discussions, skyeguy.
I haven't tried this recently, but it might still work ...
Quit iCal (turn off any publishing and syncing settings first). Drag the folder ~/Library/Calendars/ to your desktop. Restart iCal.
With previous versions this would rebuild the calendars from the locally-stored syncing data, but I don't know if it works in Leopard. If it doesn't help, just put the Calendars folder back where you got it.

  • Where did all these calendars come from??

    Hello,
This is now my second post!
I have a Blackberry Storm, and when I sync'd my personal laptop (calendar, contacts, notes etc) I have suddenly noticed that the appointments are duplicated on my Blackberry - but in different colours!
I then found that I could select which calendar I was to disply - and when I select just one of them things are OK, but when I select all, I see the duplicate appointments again!
    So, my questions are this:
Firstly, Although I have three email accounts set up in Outlook - I only use one calendar - so where did the other two come from?
Also, how can I delete ALL calendar entries and start again?
    Thanks
    Paul

  • Where did Calendar to-do list go?

Where did my to-do list go in my Calendar? Did Mavericks delete this feature and with it my entire itinerary?

Realized it was moved to Reminders application. However, is there any way to export this list to Calendar as it previously was? It was much more streamlined to have one application open to consolidate all of my itinerary/appointments and seems silly to keep up two. Wishing I'd known this change was going to happen, would not have upgraded my operating system if I'd known.

  • Where did my ical calendars go?

I was told to delete the following caches in the finders library
    Calendar Cache

    Calendar Cache-wal

    any ideas??

    The menehunes got it.
I should have thought of that, right off!!

And I have the  data backed up on a Time capsule a well as Silver keeper.  I guess I had better look into both of them.  To date' I have not been all that successful in bringing data back from the past, but I guess i'll just have to start learning how!
iCal hasn't been around 30 years, only 11.
And it seems like just yesterday, time sure does fly when your having fun!  And by the way, thanks for your reply!.
If your machine is 11 years old, then it's perhaps time for a new one but you might need data recovey to get the old data recovered.
It's not 11 yet, so I'll just hobble along with this one and spend some time learning how to bring data back from the past
    Have a great day!

Re: Where did my iCal go?

  • Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7? The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me and definitely not user friendly. Please advise.

Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7?  The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me. If you select an item (grey dot) from the month display it will open up the 'spread sheet' at the current time of day, not necessarily when the calendar entry takes place.  I liked iOS6 where you could turn your iPhone to landscape mode and get that special 'spread sheet' feel if that's what you're into.  Has a 'List' presentation been removed from the iPhone Calendar with iOS7?

The List view is displayed by tapping the Search magnifying glass.

Are you using a Gmail account? If so, are you syncing your Google calendars? Did you recently subscribe to a new calendar? I have a couple of calendars (moon phases, U.S. Holidays) that I subscribe to through Google Calendar. They are not editable.

  • Where did my iWeb go?

I bought my iMac about a month ago and thought today would be a good day to play with iWeb. However, it is no longer located on my computer. That, and Garage Band has also disappeared. What the ****? I know it's not a trial version. My iMac came with Mac OS 10.5 and iLife. I know it was here when I first got my computer. Where did it go?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Look in the Applications folder for those applications. If they are there just drag them back to the dock.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

    Hello there, tonjay82.
There are some great sources of information in the following article that might help you in resolving the issue at hand:
    iOS: Understanding Restrictions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4213
Particularly of note is the following:
You can enable and adjust Restrictions, or Parental Controls, on your device to prevent access to specific features or content on the device. Locate these settings by tapping Settings > General > Restrictions.
            and
    Additional Information
If your iOS device is missing a particular application or if a certain feature is not available, ensure that Restrictions are not enabled. Symptoms can include:
App missing from the Home screen (Safari, Camera, or YouTube for example)
Feature or service unavailable (Siri, Location Services, and so on)
Setting missing or grayed out (such as Mail, Contacts, and Calendar; iCloud; Twitter; FaceTime)
Important: Restrictions can also be enabled or enforced using a profile (typically installed when using the device for business or education purposes). You can check for installed profiles in Settings > General > Profiles.
Thank you for reaching out to us at Apple Communities on this issue.
    Cheers,

  • Where did the search feature go in iOS7? Search the device as well as select search to web or Wikipedia.

After installing iOS7 on my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini there is no Search Function for info on the device and the option to search the Web or Wikipedia. Where did this useful search feature go. It would list every contact, calendar entry, email containing the search term. Now that first page / panel is gone. Help!

Swipe down from middle of home screen. Not the top or you open up the daily reminder

  • Where did display resolutions go?

I just updated from 10.7.3 to to 10.7.4 on intel 24" iMac.  In 10.7.3, I had a choice of 12 different display resolutions.  In 10.7.4, I have 2 - neither of which I find acceptable, so I reintalled 10.7.3.  Where did my choices go?
And how do I contact Apple directly without having to pay to tell them there is a problem with their update?
I was forced to switch to Lion so I could keep my contacts and calendars synced with all my Apple devices.  Frankly, I've been an Apple user all the way back to the IIe.  I don't like Lion.  I don't like being forced to upgrade - if those items still sync with Windows XP, why can't they in Snow Leopard?  I don't like that there is no easy way to contact Apple support about this.  I don't like the snooty and less than helpful personel at my local Apple Store.  Makes me wonder why I'm still an Apple user.

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background.

  • I uploaded a lot of important pictures to iPhoto, after downloading them I deleted them off my memory card. Now, iPhoto will not let me look at the pictures and the album in which I put them is empty. Where did they go? What should I do? Help please!

I uploaded a lot of important pictures to iPhoto, and then deleted them off my memory card. I tried looking at the pictures and they are no wheere to be found, the album in which they were is empty, and I looked everywhere for them. Where did they go? What should I do?

Check to make sure the iPhoto Advanced preferences are set to copy photos into the library when importing, i.e. a "managed" library:
If it is and you don't see any thumbnail in the Event they should be in apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with
Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If you are unable to get iPhoto to recover the photos MediaRECOVER can be used on the memory card to recover the photos as long a they haven't been overwritten.  It will run in demo mode so you can see if it will recover the photo before you have to purchase it.

  • Where did my Exchange emails go?

I have two email accounts synced, my Comcast and my Exchange.  Email sync has been working perfectly fine since I got the phone in December.  All of a suddent this evening, after receiving a new mail notification, I go into my email, and there were no accounts and no emails - just a blank screen.  I went to check my Accounts & Sync, and both accounts were still listed as setup and synchronizing.
I then went back into my email app, and my Comcast randomly showed up, and the empty inbox began synchronizing.  I have yet to see any mails for my Exchange account, nor do I have the option to even view the account.  When I select the account drop down box, the only option I have is "New account".
I ran a test, and sent myself an email.  I then received a new mail notification, and when selecting it, it took me to a blank inbox.  Then when I click the accounts section, I again only have the option for, "New account", even though the Comcast account is there.
Where did my Exchange emails go?  Why did they just disappear in the thin blue air, with no changes at all to my phone?  How do I get them back without deleting and adding the account back?  I have hundreds of emails and months worth of calendar entries that I need to keep on my phone.  The primary function of my phone is for work and I cannot go without my emails.  Unbelievable!

Are you getting mail to that exchange account in your gmail account?
