Where did my email go?

I'm using Entourage with the latest version of OS X on my MacBook Pro. At first I was getting messages fine -- but they all were going into a folder I created instead of my inbox. To solve this problem, I deleted that folder and created several subfolders for my inbox.
Now all my mail has vanished. I get the little ding that says that I have mail, but I can't find it!
Any ideas where it's going? I've checked my deleted folder, nothing there. I also imported my contact list and settings/old messages from Outlook, and I can't find any of that either.
I'm mystified. I know it's probably right under my nose -- but where?

Here's the scenario:
* using my iPad3 with SW version 6.1.3
* using my workplace exchange email account
* writing 15 emails while on a plane without a network connection (obviously)
* I see 15 emails sitting in my Outbox waiting for my iPad to connect to my home wifi
* as I walk into my house, I check my iPad and I see the tail end of these emails being sent
* I check my Sent folder and I talk to people this morning and only 4 of those 15 emails were actualy sent - the rest are nowhere to be found
What happened? Where are these emails? This was hours of work.

I just tried to create a new profile and copy details from the old to the new and nothing has changed.
I assume because I am backing up and replacing profile contents that are already missing all the emails and folders I want back.
Massive sad face.

Hi,
I created and downloaded some email to my iMac(running OS X 10.5.8) using Mail. And for some reason I then deleted ALL my email accounts.
Later on, I created all my email account once again at Mail. And I start to wonder, "I have deleted the accounts once, where are the EMAIL go? Are they also been deleted?
And I Resetup all the email, will those EMAILS come back to the NEW accounts in Mail?

Hi.
When you delete an email account, the downloaded email messages for that account go the way of the dodo, they "poof" into thin air, in other words, they are deleted along with the account.
If you need to recover those emails, you can find them into your Time Machine backup (as long as it was enabled). You need to launch Time Machine, and then go to your home folder/Library/Mail, and the existing email accounts at the date of the backup are there, containing their inboxes, sent mails, etc.

Hi, I am sorry this may get a little wordy....
I had to reset an email account password ( for one of the four profiles/email addresses tbird manages) with my isp because tbird suddenly could not connect to the mail server ( It kept asking me to enter a new password.),.
Having supplied tbird with the new password it appears to have made a totally new profile and all my folders and emails are gone.
I can find the default folder but I dont know what to do with it?

While composing an email I clicked on a text msg alert and replied to the text. Afterwards, where did the email I was composing go?

After I replied to the text, after which I went to finish my email and it was gone.
I checked all applicable folders (Draft, Trash, Hub, etc) and nowhere to be found (the usual green draft/msg in progress icon was not visible anywhere).I even logged onto my email with another device to see if it had been saved there by chance.
I really need it back - I know I should have saved the draft periodically, but I've become accustomed to the OS automatically saving text and email drafts.
Any thoughts on retrieving it?
Also, I know the exact time it happened, is there any way to see what was going on at the screen at that time or retrieve the file from within the internal file structure?

Sounds like a bug or glitch...it should have saved it. However, if it's not in drafts then it's not going to be able to be retrieved.

Where did that email address go today?

My wife has had her own mac.com address (not an alias) for years based on my mac.com account. Today she can't download her messages in Mail because her password is not accepted. Her MBA (10.6.8) had not had this problem before today.
I go to my iCloud account and I don't even find her address on my account. I see my original mac.com address (also me.com & icloud.com) and I see my alias addresses, but not her address.
Has something changed since yesterday?

You're right. That fixed it.
I was accustomed to seeing her address when I viewed my account, and when I didn't, I figured something was wrong. Somehow her old password got disabled.

The email icon on my BB Torch 9800 just disappeared. If I type email in the search button it shows me the greyed out email icon but I can't get the icon back on to my homescreen. How do I get my email icon back? And Unhide All is not an option so icant find it.
Please consider the above on urgent basis as I can't see my work mails.

When I deleted and then recreated the same account all the emails are now gone. Where did they go?

I was having problems with getting mail from my verizon email account. Suddenly stopped working when checking mail. Sending was fine. No server settings were changed. So as a last try before the nightmare of finally giving up on them I deleted the account and then set it up again. I now get the emails but all the old ones are gone. Where did they go?
I've read all the posts about the verizon smtp ssl issues but this (the missing emails that were alreadiny in thunderbird) seems to be a TB question.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

How do I get them back?

I'd rather start with tidying things up on the server. I.e. delete messages you already moved to the new account or to Local Folders in the original account. And then also remove them from Trash.
Google doesn't make it easy to really get rid of messages, and this may be a tidy process, but it will finally bring down the space used on the server.

When an email is open there is no longer the trash can at the bottom to delete or the folder to send the email to a different folder. Where did it go?

double tap on your home button and when your multi task icons come up press and hold one of the icons untill it jiggles. then you will see a small x in the left corner. click on the x on each iclon to close all of your multi task icons. the sign back into your wmail and your icon should be on there.

Where did my Exchange emails go?

I have two email accounts synced, my Comcast and my Exchange. Email sync has been working perfectly fine since I got the phone in December. All of a suddent this evening, after receiving a new mail notification, I go into my email, and there were no accounts and no emails - just a blank screen. I went to check my Accounts & Sync, and both accounts were still listed as setup and synchronizing.
I then went back into my email app, and my Comcast randomly showed up, and the empty inbox began synchronizing. I have yet to see any mails for my Exchange account, nor do I have the option to even view the account. When I select the account drop down box, the only option I have is "New account".
I ran a test, and sent myself an email. I then received a new mail notification, and when selecting it, it took me to a blank inbox. Then when I click the accounts section, I again only have the option for, "New account", even though the Comcast account is there.
Where did my Exchange emails go? Why did they just disappear in the thin blue air, with no changes at all to my phone? How do I get them back without deleting and adding the account back? I have hundreds of emails and months worth of calendar entries that I need to keep on my phone. The primary function of my phone is for work and I cannot go without my emails. Unbelievable!

Are you getting mail to that exchange account in your gmail account?

I downloaded a book from an e-mail from iPhone on my iPad. Where did it go?

What app did you download it into via 'open in' in the Mail app ? If you downloaded it into the iBooks app then it should show in the bookshelf in the app (assuming that it's compatible with the app i.e. if it was bought from Apple or it's a digital-rights-management free epub).

Did you open up a new message window then go to the View>CustomizeToolbar command and try to drag a NEW send button up to the toolbar? or try to drag the default toolbar set up to the toolbar?

Since you now say you have no toolbar (when the topic of the post said 'Where did my SEND button go') If you look in the upper right corner of the window, you should see a small oval. Click that to expand the toolbar.

But it does somehow my English security answers do not work on a Japanese Question especialy if I did not choose that question I set up the multiple choice In English and wrote the answers in English or Roman and set them langauge preferences in English, do you really think you can correctly write english name or word in Japanese they write a police patrol car pato caa パトカア　they do not have r and l .So it is my choice to make my security easy for me and as difficult for others to hack.But they also have patororoo choo meaning ' now patrolling ' so why they have pato caa patrol car and patoro patrol and have thousands of Chinese words kanji they can find patrol.
I am getting off the topic but I am at a loss to fix this problem when they hold the keys and i have all the info to verify my ID.
