Where did my import button go?

I'm trying to import a song from my husbands shared library on his computer. While I can play the song on my computer the import button that's usually on the bottom sidebar is missing? Where did it go? How do I copy this song to my library? Anybody else having this problem?

The iTunes app cannot disappear ... it may be on a different screen.
Regardless, you can force it to your home screen by doing:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Did you open up a new message window then go to the View>CustomizeToolbar command and try to drag a NEW send button up to the toolbar? or try to drag the default toolbar set up to the toolbar?

Since you now say you have no toolbar (when the topic of the post said 'Where did my SEND button go') If you look in the upper right corner of the window, you should see a small oval. Click that to expand the toolbar.

When an email is open there is no longer the trash can at the bottom to delete or the folder to send the email to a different folder. Where did it go?

double tap on your home button and when your multi task icons come up press and hold one of the icons untill it jiggles. then you will see a small x in the left corner. click on the x on each iclon to close all of your multi task icons. the sign back into your wmail and your icon should be on there.

Shuffle or repeat songs

Shuffle albums or groupings: Choose Controls > Shuffle > Albums (or Groupings). iTunes plays the songs in the order in which they appear on the album or in the grouping, and then chooses another album or grouping at random.
Repeat all songs in the current view (for example, a playlist): Choose Controls > Repeat > All.

Where did the microphone button disappeared?

I bought yesterday an Iphone 4s and I liked the fact that you can dictate instead of writing, whenever the keyboard appears. I restored everything I had on my old 3gs mobile and, after I did that, the microphone button disappeared. I upgraded the software but still... it's not there. What can I do to have it back?

That means you have moved to FCP X 10.1.1.
It uses the new Library model and the Projects button is gone along with the Projects folder.
Search this forum for how to update from older versions.
Done the correct way it's trouble free whereas the incorrect way leads to headaches.

ITunes 8: Where did the "Importing/Burning" setting go?

Since I've upgraded to iTunes 8, the Importing and Burning settings have disappeared from Preferences > Advanced.
Anyone know where it is now?

iTunes>Preferences>General, click on the "import Settings" button.
There is no longer a global setting for burning, when you insert a blank CD and click on Burn Disc, a burn settings dialogue box opens so you can choose an individual setting for each disk you burn.

Where did access to button events on page 0 go?

I have a simple menu system established for my applications where a select list item and a button are created on page 0.
If I choose to "Create a button in a region position" when I establish the button (let's call it "GO_MENU", I am given the option of choosing the button event for branches on the other pages in the Conditions for the branch under "When Button Pressed". So far so good.
However, if I choose "Create a button displayed among this region's items" when I establish the button, the button does not appear in the LOV for the "When Button Pressed" condition in the branches for any of the other application pages. What's magical about this choice that suppresses the availability of the button event from the other pages?

use condition type: "Request = Expression 1"
expression 1 = P0_GO_MENU
Why it doesn't show your page item button in the LOV? Because it's not a standard button anymore...
I don't have other information... someone from the ApEx dev team should be able to give more technical explanation.

Where's the import button on iPhoto?

Just had a talk with an Epson guy who advised that we could get rid of color banding by printing out of iPhoto instead of Photoshop.
But in order to do that I need to import from Photoshop. The Epson guy said there is an import function on iPhoto, but I can't find it. Can anyone offer a clue?

Where are your images stored now?
Do you have a working iPhoto Library, or have you not even used iPhoto yet?
If the images are not in iPhoto, then all you have to do is drag them into an open iPhoto Library window to import them. The actual command in the menu bar is "add to library"
You can have all your images in the library and also use PhotoShop as the external editor. This is set up in iPhoto Preferences. Once PS is set up, when images are double clicked they open in PS for your editing. Once you are done, the images have to be saved as flattened and with the same name. The edits will then be reflected in the library and you can then print the images.

Where is the import button

iPhoto user for many years, all of a sudden in iPhoto 9.5.1 on my MacBook running Mavericks, when I plug in my Fujifilm X10, iPhoto opens, but I get a window that shows my photo library, but it does not have the usual sidebar with the albums, and attached camera. Also, it used to automatically display the camera files to import, and now it does not, so I don't see a button to import anything. The menu bar on the bottom of the window shows albums, events, faces, places, edit, share, but no import that I can find. Help!

Are you perhaps in Full Screen Mode? Then move the cursor up to the upper border of the screen to reveal the main menu bar and exit Full Screen mode.
You should be seeing something similar like this in iPhoto 9.5.1:
A sidebar with many captions, like "devices", "Albums", for the different sections of the source list.
Each section can be hidden by hovering the cursor to the right of the caption to reveal hidden show/hide controls:
You may have to unhide the "Devices" section.
iPhoto will show you the Import panel split into two sections, first the new photos, and then photos already imported.

Where did my "back" button go & is there a key command for it?

Two questions:
1. Somehow I lost my "back" and "forward" buttons. There where there one day and now they're gone. I have a refresh button, an add bookmark button and a go to homepage button but the others have vanished. Where have they gone?
2. Are there key commands for "back" and "forward?" It sure would make surfing easier.

Go to your Safari View Menu and select Customize ToolBar. There you'll be able to drag/drop the back/fwd buttons to the bar.
Quickkey command -
back command key + [
forward - command key + ]
These key prompts are listed in the History Menu.

Where did my repeat button go..?

So, is it just me being incredibly stupid, or is the repeat button gone or not where it usually is? I guess this is what it's supposed to look like, but is it just gone?

You can access the repeat options if you right-click on the shuffle icon, or if menus are enabled you can use
Controls > Repeat > Off | All | One.
Once the control is visible you can click it to switch between states as before. If the control is turned to off it disappears on the next track change. In contrast the shuffle control remains visible whenever it is appropriate. Hopefully the next release will fix this.

Where did my send button go?

I wrote an email this morning, and when I was ready to send, there was no send button! Where could it have gone?
Here is a screenshot of my problem:

Your image does not clearly show the top border of the "new message" window, so I can't tell for certain how much stuff there actually is along the top edge of your image. However, I think I just barely see the red LED (yellow and green covered by your big red circle?) in the upper left corner of the picture and the gray oval in the upper right corner.
If what I'm seeing is what I think I'm seeing, then all you should have to do is single-click on the gray oval in the upper right corner of the message window. That toggles the "show/hide toolbar" and unless you, additionally, dragged the Send button off the toolbar during a "View > Customize Toolbar" exercise, that should restore it, along with numerous other icons.
