Where did my rental movie go?

Last night I used Apple TV to rent a Movie (through the "Movies" icon at the top menu). I paid $3.99 to rent it and even verified the CSC code on my credit card. Where did the movie download to? I cannot find it anywhere.
I even tried to rent it again, but it told me I had already rented it.

I looked into my iTunes playlist, I looked into the 'recent purchased' section, and it's nowhere to be found. My last option was to start searching the music, podcast, and other tabs to see if it went anywhere else. But of course, it wouldn't show up there. I checked my bank account and my itunes purchase is showing up at the top of the charged list, so that let's me know that the download and charge kicked through. I tell you, I even went back to iTunes to the movie page, and the rental button doesn't show up. It just says 'preview'.
Please help me out. I searched everywhere possible, and I can't find where the movie went to(??) How do we get to the root of the problem? I'm not asking for a refund, since I know the new terms explain it very well that it just won't happen. All I want is to see the movie that I PAID for and it's NOT there.

And just in case .... You don't actually sync rental movies to the iPad....
To transfer a rented movie from iTunes, use the movies pane in iTunes. Rented movies transfer is at the top. You must have an Internet connection to transfer a rented movie. Select the "move" arrow in the direction you wish to transfer, and click the apply button at the bottom right. Rented movies can only exist on one device at a time, they do not sync like other video, but move from iTunes to the iPad.

They should have downloaded into the Videos app (iTunes on the iPad is just the iTunes store) :
If they are not in there then have you got any film and tv programme age ratings set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?

If you rented it on your computer's iTunes then does do you have a 'rentals' tab in the Movies part of your library ?

I rented a movie and it hasn't showed up on my Toshiba laptop. I have rented lots of movies but this is the first time one hasn't shown up on my computer. Can anyone help me find it or find out where it has gone.

This is a common misperception of how FCP works, you have confused project files with output files and you have found the autosave vault and confused it with your regular project storage location.

i've rented a movie last night and had some trouble downloading it, but now it doesn't even appear at my library, or my ipod's its just ****! whre can it be?? or how can i downloadit?

Over the last few months I've purchased movies from iTunes and downloaded them onto my older Apple TV. That is where I wanted to store them. Everytime I opened iTunes on my laptop, and if Apple TV was powered on, it would try to synch the movies to my laptop, saying it would take, for example, 5 hours to synch Brave onto my laptop. I didn't want it to do this, so I would click the 'x' beside the download bar (on my laptop in iTunes), and poof! Brave disappeared from my computer and from the AppleTV! I've lost two movies this way! I've managed to find how to stop the automatic synching, but I have no idea where my movies went or how to how to get them back. Help!!

ive been working on this video for weeks and a LOT of time went into it.
when i was done i finnalised it and when i looked for it, i saw a file called imovie projects so i looked in it saw a thumbnail that looked like my video.
but when i clicked on it it took me to the imovie app, and in the app it doesnt have my project in it.
where is my project? it took so long to make im really upset that i cant find it.

Did you export (Share) your project at any time? Try remembering the last name you gave your video/project and go to the top right hand corner of your screen and search for it through "Spotlight"

I converted some DVD's to my ipad. They use to go to Movies in Itunes so you could add them to the ipad library. Now they show up in Home Videos on the Itunes web site. Only problem I don't have a Home Videos icon/app on my ipad.

But now I can't find the actual movie...I go to iTunes to purchases and view movies , to downloads and searched the title of the movie...I can see an icon of it and it is in a separate place from other purchases but it says downloaded in faded lettering. Where is it?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have bought 1 MacbookPor 17, 1 Macbook air, 1 MacbookPro 15 , 2 ipads, 3 iphones, and this iMac27 and 2 of iMAC24 or 20 not sure   but I do not recall ever doing what you are telling me in your reply.   When you get a extended car warranty, you don't   sign up for it.. it is just there and is included in the sale.   You don't buy this warranty to use it.. You buy it, in case something happens.   Here a perfect iMAC with minimum 100 hour useage has a dead drive. That is not normal and I should not have to even be requesting anything since most MFG offer a 3-5 year warranty on their disc drives and I believe that is probably passed on to Apple regardless if an extended warranty is purchased or not.   Customer service dictates a more flexible approach to make sure the lifetime value of a customer is not lost due to some misunderstanding.
I was in the MacStore that I purchased the unit..and they found and pulled the invoice and confirmed
the purchase of it in front of me. I had paid with credit card and fortunately it was there in their system.   I do not also recall recieving any box or paper although most everything I ever get remains sealed.. I am not in the habit of opening anything since I have never encountered any serious issues before.
   I have used my Macbookpro warranty 1 time and that is all throughout the years I have been investing in Apple equipment.
I just recieved a letter from the store asking me to get the paper to them so they can register it... I don't recall getting any paper actually. But I do have several boxes sealed here.. On this iMAC27, it was a hurry up and get it done thing and I don't remember taking anything extra with it.   Regardless, my request does not seem unreasonable.
