Where did my right click go?

The current update took away my 'right click' function (as in Windows) on my touchpad. Is this normal. I love the right click function. I only updated in one partition. The other partition has the original upgrade and right click works fine. Can the right click function be restored in the current update(10.7.2)?

14.2 update - where did the right click option go ?

before the 14.2 update i was able to right click on a document title bar and get the option to duplicate, canvas size etc.
was it removed, if so why ?

Why did my right click and drop down lists suddenly stopped working in firefox? How do get it fixed?

I have the latest firefox there is and one day when i opened it, the right click button stopped working. Then even the drop down litsts stopped working. For example if i click on the firefox icon in the top left corner, nothing happens. I have tried to reinstall firefox. No help. I don't know what to do. So if don't get rid of the problem I guess I'll just have to swich to another broswer, because this is a really really anoying bug...

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Where are the right-click Finder workflows located??

When I control+click while selecting a file, I can see in the drop-down menu More: Automator a few plug in workflows.
But where is that folder located? I'm trying to alter one that resides and shows up there now (customized by a friend), but I can't locate it to open it up and alter it. Spotlight isn't finding it at all.
Any idea where that folder of plug ins resides??? thanks!

spotlight doesn't search it because system folders are excluded from searches by default. to include them, enter command+f to bring a search window, click on "Kind", scroll and click on "other". in the resulting popup select 'system files" and set to include.

Where did GridBagConstraints.RIGHT (LEFT) go?

Am I missing something obvious or is it just me missing this feature alot?
Especially since "anchor" doesn't have the wanted effect inside a "filled" container. (or so it has atleast lead me to beleive)

Why won't Firefox close, even using Task Manager, unless I right click on the process and select 'end process' ?

Firefox works fine, but won't respond when I try to shut it down. Using Task Manager to 'End Task' doesn't work. In Task Manager I have to right click on firefox in the Processes menu and click 'End Task'. Apart from logging off/shutting down, this is the only method that works. Also refused to respond when I tried to reset and doesn't respond to commands to change profile settings.

Hi all. I had this problem as well. I currently run FF26. A week or so ago, out of nowhere FF wouldn't exit - the window would close but firefox.exe process would keep running in the background using about 50% of CPU. Not sure if it's connected, but just prior to that I clicked on a link on Facebook that looked like spam website, nothing happened, site loaded (sort of, all I saw was a msg - Please Wait...) but nothing happened, I have Eset antivirus and it monitors network traffic and files for viruses, so maybe it prevented my PC getting infected...
So, I had this problem for a few days, was searching the net for solutions, but nothing seem to help. Then, just out of luck I did something that WORKED!
Here's what I did. I noticed that svchost.exe was using a lot of CPU alongside with FF. I ran ProcessExplorer to see what might be connected to this process, the list was long and I didn't have any idea where to start, so what I did was - Right click on svchost process, choose Debug and dismiss the warning. In a few seconds svchost process quit and after that FF started closing properly.
I had to re-enable all my plugins and themes I disabled prior, I also lost my history and preferences which I trashed in the process of searching for solution. But heck, it worked, hopefully for good. Now if someone could point out the real cause of this and fix it for everyone - that would be great. Cheers!

Right click to get to Show File in iphoto

I was at the Apple Store Sat and was shown that if I right click a photo a list will appear including the show file command. With this command I get to the actual photo.
I have just reinstalled ilife 09 and attempted to get the list when I right clicked. Nothing.
Is my mouse bad?
How should I find out how to get the list to appear when I right click?

It was a good thought, but when I looked at the keyboard and mouse and the other topics, I did not see anything that would have to do with right click. I did learn a lot about the mouse, scrolling and setting the five buttons, but nothing to do with right clicks. Speed of the cursor. scrolling and double click. Update missing on servers - right click add-on

Hello all,
I remember I once stumbled upon a blog where someone wrote a console add-on where you could right click on update in All Software Updates view and select option to show hosts that require this update. It was done in PowerShell.
In era of right click tools for SCCM 2012, I'm having hard time finding that gem. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and could share a link to the source?

Finder Right Click Woes - Intel iMAC 20" Core 2 Duo (NEW)

Okay, I was hoping someone can check this for me on their new iMAC. I have found an issue where if I right click (or control click) three or more times in a row on the desktop or any other finder window, finder performs a relaunch. I am hoping that its just a bug with the new iMAC. But, either way its rather annoying.

After performing the re-installation (per technical supports suggestion) every thing worked fine. Then looking at your post I really wanted to know what started this whole mess in the first place. So, I started StuffIt Expander and after the initialization of the application the issue came up again.
Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction. You were correct. I had installed StuffIt Expander Deluxe 11.02 (which is the latest version). This application installs a contextual menu in the /Library/Contextual Menu folder. The file is called StuffitCM.plugin. By removing this file the issue is now gone.
Stuffit still works now even with this file removed. So, all is good.

HT201302 Using a windows 8 at question 5 at "right click logo" there is no option of "import pictures and videos" HELP!!!!!!

I'm using a windows 8 and an Iphone 5 and am trying to download photos from my phone to my computer. I found the link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 from another question but when I get to question 5 where it says "right click logo" it's an unidentified logo that says iphone and even when I right click it there is no option of "import photos and videos". HELP!!!!! been working on this for weeks and cannot acomplish a thing. help please!!!

Alright, if you go to computer and right click on the iPhone, import is not an option? If you go to Control Panel and go to AutoPlay, can you change the settings for the phone? It should recognize it as a digital camera. Also, if the iPhone has a passcode and is locked when you connect it, you will not be able to import the photos either. If it has a passcode, unlock it, then connect to the computer and see if you can see the choice to import then.

How did "inspect element" get on my right click menu?

I did install several addons when this appeared. Anyone know from where this right click menu item came? My search suggested "firebug" - whatever that is. This is not on my XP but it is on my Vista and both have the same addons.

"Inspect Element" is a new item that is added in Firefox 10. 
Previous Firefox version do not have the build-in inspector.

How do you get to the DOS prompt so that you can type in the info to help get into itunes store??? One post said search cmd, right click, run as administrator but where is the search cmd??

Have been struggling for days trying to get into the itunes store. Have contacted support with no help. I have been reading how some have typed something into a DOS prompt and have resolved their issues. One stated to "search cmd, right click, and run as admininstrator" but where is this? In the search field in your Vista start menu, type cmd
Next, right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".

Did you check the Videos app?

I upgraded to Maverick O/S and I can no longer right click on iPhoto images to find my photo files. My photo files are not where they were before upgrade.
