Where did my volume icon control go

it just suddenly up and disappeared. WTF????

Where did my volume icon go,
I would check to make sure it didn’t somehow get removed from the system tray.
In order to do this:
Press the Windows key and X simultaneously.
Select Control Panel.
Select Notification Area Icons.
From this screen you’ll see several icons. Find Volume and make sure the behaviors are set to
Show icon and notifications.
Select OK.
If the behaviors were not set appropriately and you made the above change, then the icon should reappear.
In the event that the icon still not appear, it may be a driver issue and you’ll need to look at your hardware manufacturer’s website to see if there is an updated driver that you need to download and install.

Did you hide it? From your home screen, press the BB menu key and select "Show All." If the icon is there, highlight, press the menu key and uncheck "Hide."

Where did the firefox icon go mine is grey icon on the home page I am using 15.0.1 version

I am using v 15.0.1 fire fox on my windows xp desk top. ( I am useing my tablet to help me figure out whats going on with my desktop computer) and I noticed that in the web browser window where you type your url address the icon I thought was to be perhaps a small icon of the fre fox on the home page..... Now I see it is grey or ghosted out....... the following pages that I go to sometimes has a grey or ghosted out paddle lock.... If the web site does not contain any personal information it is the grey out icon of the Fire fox or what ever it is and if I left click on it it will state that this web site does not supply idnenty information Your connection to this site is only partially encrypted, and does not prevent eaves dropping the there is a more infor tab so whatis theis all about how can I get it to be fully encripted and not have a third party eavses dropping in on me? thanks for your help

Where Did the App Icon Preview Go?

Prior to version 11, there was a small thumbnail preview in the bottom-left corner of the iTunes window that displayed the icon of the selected app. Since updating to iTunes 11, this feature is nowhere to be found.
This feature is crucial to me because I have nearly 800 apps in my library, and I must be able to quickly navigate through them.
If Apple did away with this option, could you please direct me to instructions on how to downgrade back to the last stable version of iTunes 10??

Have you tried rebooting the device? Hold down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen. If this fails, connect it to a power source and try again holding them for at least 20 seconds.

Album Artwork - Where did the volume and song title go?

I've been searching online for hours and can't find this on my own so i'm reachin out...
I did a software update (which i won't ever do again) and now when a song is playing the cover art (or a big empty box if i remove cover art) is all that shows on the screen. It use to display the current song playing including artwork, the progression of the song, and the volume in the screen. now i can't get any information on the screen other than the album art cover. anybody else experienced this???

Where did the proxy icon go?

Hi All, New here.
My company just upgraded to CS6. My job requires frequent placing of images from Photoshop into InDesign. I used to heavily depend on the proxy icon to shorten this step.
For example, I would finish editing a photo, then save in Photoshop. The proxy icon would darken after file was saved. Then I would drag proxy icon into InDesign file, which would place the image into the INDD.
Now, there is no proxy icon after I save my Photoshop documents. I noticed that the proxy icon DOES appear when I first open a document, but it disappears if I save it.
- This happens with .jpg, .psd, etc. Not just one file type.
- It ONLY seems to happen in PS--not IND or AI.
This slows down my process considerably. I now must open a Finder window, navigate to the Photoshop document, and drag from there into INDD. Or I have to Command+D in InDesign and navigate to Photoshop document there.
If this is a setting issue, will someone please tell me where to turn my proxy icon visibility back on?
If this is something Adobe removed, PLEASE will you bring it back?

Where did my safari icon go?

Until yesterday I had four icons on the bottom section of my iPhone (phone, email, safari and music). Last night the phone icon is gone. Where do I find it?

Was it accidently moved?
Check on another page or in folders.
Does it show when you do a Spotlight search (swipe down from the center of the screen)?
Check your Restrictios: Settings > General > Restrictions
Quit all apps (Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up) and Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)

Hey, where did the Help icon go??

Just to say I did it, I decided to take a visit to the Doctor (actually I wanted to see if the Pre Plus would see any 1.4 improvements with a clean install - can't say that I can notice a difference) but I see that after using the webOS Doctor the icon for Help is gone. I can still click on the mystery ghost box and Help opens just fine. No idea how or why it went away. Can't say I want to Doctor the phone again. Any ideas out there???

Did you have a theme on the phone? Sometimes if you WebOSDoctor the phone and you have a theme applied to it at the time, you can mess up your icons. Just a thought. If you don't know what a theme is or how to theme your phone, then I don't think this is the place to discuss it, as it's not Palm approved, from what I can tell.

Where did this volume come from?

I was just about to burn a disk image I made from iDVD onto a DVD-R and when I was using Disk Utility to set it up I got a window titled "Select Image to Burn" that listed the following volumes.
iMac Clone
Macintosh HD
Microsoft Office 2000 Pro.dmg
Netfolder
Time Machine.
I recognize the Microsoft Office 2000 Pro.dmg as something I used when I was trying to set up Virtual PC but I don't know why it is in this list or how to get rid of it. It is not on my desktop and this is the first time I've seen it. I tried to drag it to the trash but it still remains. All of the other volumes I recognize.
Where and what is this file and how do I get rid of it?

Try this:
1. In the Finder's Go menu items, select the "Go to Folder..." option
2. Type in this
/Volumes
and hit the the Go button
3. A new Finder window will open displaying the contents of the otherwise invisible Volumes folder
4. Check the list--what SHOULD be there are just aliases to all your mounted drives, if the errant dmg file is there drag it out and onto the Desktop
Sometimes mishaps happen and odd things get lodged in the /Volumes folder. Sound like this might be the case.

Where did my volume go?

I use an Emac which is barely 2 years old. Suddenly I can only get a very faint volume playing cds or using itunes. It was fine before and I haven't changed any settings. I listen to sounds either through the built in speakers or use a T-amp (great product by the way) plugged into the headphone socket. Either way the volume has suddenly gone way down. Very disappointing.
I would appreciate any help.

...had no idea what to do and decided not to risk making things worse by messing aroundAs long as you give the color profile you create a distinctive different name from the ones built-in, you can always undo your changes by re-selecting the eMac profile used earlier. You can't actually blow up the display playing with the settings! (Don't laugh too hard; WayBackWhen, when the HP9836 was thehot desktop controller, user newsletters brightly pointed out undocumented "writeio" commands that allowed users to adjust the built-in display. Very cool, except if you wrote the wrong value, you could blow out the display of what at the time was a US$12,000 computer.)
By all means, play around with the advanced settings in System Preferences> Display> color profile and see if you can get the display closer to your liking. Dropping the Gamma value and the temperturre value, either by themselves or in combination, should help with the washed-out appearance.

Where did my 3G icon go?

I have my first smart phone (for 2 wks now) it's an LG Lucid. I attempted to login to Facebook today, the internet connection seemed problematic; then next thing I know - the 3G icon is gone & I can't get it back. Can't use browser or any game apps. Have reset and powered down. To NO avail, still no 3G. Checked settings, no luck. Help please. TY, Megs.

You could try powering down and removing the SIM card for a little bit, then put it back in and power the phone back on. If this doesn't work, you may need a new SIM card.

Mail: where did the status icons go?

Here's a small thing, but it's weird. Mail used to have little icons that would spin while looking for new messages. It was a visual indicator that something was actually going on, during what would otherwise look like dead time.
Somewhere along the way, the icons disappeared. Any ideas? 2008 Mac Pro, OS 10.5.4, Mail 3.3

Is your airplay device connected to the same WIFI network as your ipad? I would restart the ipad and the device if they are. And, are you sure your accessing the icon by double tapping the home button and swiping to the right in the multi task bar?

I did an update recently and noticed that the volume control panel item disappeared. So I went to add it again ... and it's not in the list! I looked in the repos and there isn't a package for it either. Where did it go?

Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having trouble locating some application after the update to iOS 7. To troubleshoot this issue, let’s reset the home screen layout of your iPhone, which should move all of your applications to the second “page”:
