Where did photostream and Cameraroll go in iOS 8?

Please add camera roll and photo stream back
I will not update the rest of my devices while those are missing.
I Cant even tell which photos are on the device and which are on the cloud. Nor can I remove it from one spot and leave it on the other. That's Garbage You guys did an awful, shamefully bad job on ios8 photos. ITs the only reason I am still want to be on ios7

Just to share, this is an Official Forum for Apple users, not exactly a direct way to share your ideas with the Apple Team.
What happened to camera roll and My Photo Stream is that they merged into the same. Take a look, all the photos you take are sent to iCloud.
You can find your photos in the 1st tab (Photos). On the 3rd tab (where usually the Camera Roll stayed), you can find just the most recents photos taken, and the ones you have deleted, because now they stay on the cloud for 30 days, for your backup, and after that they are automatically deleted forever.

IIf you've upgraded to Yosemitie you should be seeing all your photos. They had been on loan to the NSAIDS, but they don't need them anymore.

So I use my iPad as a work demonstration device and I need to be able to delete certificates from my iPad. This was quite easy in IOS 5.0. Where did "Render and Replace" in Premiere Elements 13 go?

Hi,
I read in a post from 2008 that said an easy way to export a .WAV file from a single Clip so that you could edit it in another program could be done using "Render and Replace". They suggested: Clip -> Audio Options -> Render and Replace. But my only option in that menu is "Audio Gain...".
This is incredibly frustrating. I sincerely hope I didn't waste my money on a purposely crippled version of Elements that took features away from older versions of the same software.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that I have good news for you.
From what you wrote, you have a clip on the Timeline with video and audio components. For the moment we will assume that you have just
that clip on the Timeline.
Go to Publish+Share/Computer/Audio and set Presets = Windows Waveform. That will export just the audio as a .wav file to the computer
hard drive space of your choice. You can re-import the .wav version into your project with the program's Add Media/Files and Folders.
If you had a bunch of clips on the Timeline and wanted to get a wav version of the audio from a particular file....the position the gray tabs of
the Work Area Bar to span just the area of that particular clip and then Publish+Share/Computer/Audio with Presets = Windows Waveform
BUT you need a check mark next to "Share Work Area Bar Only" in the export settings.
Supplemental information if you have a Timeline with more than one clip on it....

Shortcuts are the easiest way to place those gray tabs to span the area of the segment for export.
Move the Timeline Indicator to the start of the segment and, as you hold down the Alt key of the computer
main keyboard, press the left bracket key [ Move the Timeline Indicator to the end of the segment and, as
you hold down the Alt key of the computer main keyboard, press the right bracket key ]
And do not forget the other requirement for this situation with more than one clip on the Timeline....in the
export area, check mark next to Share Work Area Bar Only.

Where did voice-to-text go in IOS 8.1 Message app?

I've done a pretty extensive search and I can't find anyone asking about this - so it may just be me.
I understand why the development team decided to make the microphone send a voice clip in Messages instead of converting voice-to-text. The problem is that now, when navigating a message thread, it's impossible to find the message you want without listening to all of them (and annoying people around you). Without the visible text, all the voice messages look the same.
Providing an option to change how the microphone works, giving the choice of restoring the pretty nice voice-to-text we had until last week, would seem smart.
I'm sure this was done as an "improvement" to stop finger texting as a safety measure, but it comes with a lack of usability. The Siri engine still does voice-to-text nicely but not in Messages. Another approach fix would be to include the first 5-10 words of the message in text along with the sound clip.
Am I alone out here with this woe?

And, one last thing. The default setting makes voice clips go away after two minutes so my rant about finding them in a thread is moot. You CAN set the app to keep the voice clips but I don't know what the memory impact would be -- and you still can't tell what they say without listening.

Where did the sleep timer go in IOS 5? It's been changed to "stop playing"

When previously using the sleep timer, I would set a time and then choose for the device to "sleep" at the end of the time. Now the choice has been changed to "Stop Playing." This is a huge problem because it does not sleep the device; it only stops the music from playing. Because the music app continues to run, battery life is profoundly shortened. I verified this at the Genius Bar when I noticed my battery life dropped from several hours per charge to about 1.5 hours. Can a sleep timer be used in some other manner now?

HT1473 What is this? Where did drag and drop go? It's going to take me all day to add just one artist to iTunes now...

How do I add multiple album files at once without entering each file and hand selecting each group of files? This is incredibly impractical unless I'm missing something. I'd hate to give iTunes up but it's looking more and more like the only viable option.

Do you mean Add Folder to Library? This allows you to navigate to a folder and add the complete folder in one click.
Either use the ALT key, followed by the F key and then the D key (that's File/Add Folder to Library)
Add folder is not on that silly little box at the top left corner of iTunes, is it?
Or, you can turn on the Menu Bar by clicking on the silly little box (well on the arrow to its right) and selecting Show menu bar. Look at the screenshots:
and then you have the Menu Bar and can choose File from it:
Notice that Add File to Library is on the silly little box drop-down, but Add Folder to Library is not!
Who on earth thought that one up?

LR 4.1 where did highlight and shadow recovery go?

I just upgraded to lightroom 4.1 and the highlight and shadow recovery sliders have disappeared. It now looks like me old version 2. What happened to the new sliders?

You may be seeing Lr3 settings i.e. Process Version 2010 rather than Process Version 2012, or vice versa. Anything imported into Lighytroom 4 that wasn't edited in an earlier version will be Proces Version 2012, which uses a completely new set of adjustments. Anything edited in an earlier version of Lr will be PV2010 or earlier.
In PV2010 we had Highlight Recovery and Fill Light, both only operated in positive direction, which was/is usually thought of as recovery. The terms hightlight and Shadow recovery don't apply in PV2012 because the new sliders operate in both positive and neagtive directions. You can switch between the two process version by first selecting the image then choosing the appropriate option form the Process drop down menu in Camera Calibration panel (DEvelop module)

Where did Archives and Templates folders go?

Hi All,
I'm using the latest version of TB in Win 8.1x64. Archives and Templates folders do not show up in the left pane. (No, they are not collapsed.) Archives and Templates are turned on in Account Settings and directed to the correct account. There are MSF files for both in Profiles, but no Archives or Templates files.
If I create new folders they are labelled "-1" in Profiles and show up in the left pane, but as plain folders with no icons.
So how do I make the originals show up?

Open Finder.
Click GO and press the OPTION key. You will see your user Library folder in the list. Click it to open it in Finder.
Left click and drag the Library folder icon at the top center of the Finder window to your Favorites on the left side of Finder to always have it available to use.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

If the pictures are still on your phone, they may be in a different location as the camera roll and photo stream albums were removed in iOS 8. This explains the new photos locations: Get help finding your Photos in iOS 8.
Don't know about your numbers. If you mean your contacts, if they were syncing with iCloud check iCloud.com to see if they are sill there.

Where did the iPhoto 10 iCloud Photostream come from and how do I get rid of it?

I just updated my MacBook Air to mavericks. I have an iPad and iphone as well just updated to ios7. My Mac updated iPhoto as well. Now when I opened iPhoto I got my flickr and Facebook integrated folders in the left pane plus an iCloud photostream.
I didn't have that before and it has 287 pictures pulled from many devices but I didn't set that up. I only had/have a private photostream with a particular name and about 10 pics in it. this new one is just called iCloud photostream and it has 287 pics of which some I know I took with my iPad and others with my iphone. I of course sync both devices with my Mac so this pics are in my iPhoto library as well.

But it does somehow my English security answers do not work on a Japanese Question especialy if I did not choose that question I set up the multiple choice In English and wrote the answers in English or Roman and set them langauge preferences in English, do you really think you can correctly write english name or word in Japanese they write a police patrol car pato caa パトカア　they do not have r and l .So it is my choice to make my security easy for me and as difficult for others to hack.But they also have patororoo choo meaning ' now patrolling ' so why they have pato caa patrol car and patoro patrol and have thousands of Chinese words kanji they can find patrol.
