Where did restored podcasts go?

I deleted some podcasts for my ipod classic.  They went to the recycle bin. When I saw that I had deleted them in error, I went to the recycle bin & restored them.  The question is now, where did they go from there & how do I get them back on my ipod?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

They may be in their original location in your iTunes Music folder on your PC.  Click the Start icon and select My Computer or Computer. Then navigate to your User account's Music folder and select iTunes -> iTunes Media -> Podcasts.  Are they listed there?
If so, simply drag them into your iTunes library and you should be good to go.

  • Where did my podcasts go?  The new version erased ones marked to keep!

The new version of iTunes just wiped out months of collected podcasts, even though it is still set to keep them all?  Where did they go?  How can I redownload them all if they are no longer available?  What did you break Apple?!

See this thread, amongst others; a shorter discussion here.
Short version: it looks like some people have had the files completely disappear from their computer; for others, the files are still on their computer, but iTunes can no longer find them.

  • Where did my podcasts go?

I just upgraded iTunes and my podcasts, music etc... has gone away.  Where are they how do I get them back in tunes to download like they always did.  I am hoping I do not have to re-subscribe to everything to get it down loaded again.
This is a poor upgrade decision if that is the case.  How can you arbitrarily wipe out settings and content on an upgrade?

    Hello jasonmaclennan
You would need to revert to a previous iTunes library file to get it back, the article below to get your media back into iTunes.

  • Where did my podcasts go, fourth time asked?

I still need an answer to this please.
ok, the other night my iTunes started with a weird message
about how the library was corrupted and it was making a
backup (didn't say where the backup was though). Now when
I look at my iTunes all the Podcasts are empty. What's
more, because the iTunes thinks i have zero podcasts it
deleted them off my iPod without letting me know it was
    going to do that.
When I looked on the hard drive to make certain the files
were deleted everything is there, so that's good. The
iPod is now saying that it has all this free space since
it now doesn't have the podcasts in it. So how do I get
back the podcast list without a) having to redownload all
4000 (some of which is news stuff and won't be accessable
again), or b) having to import them into my music library,
    did I mention over 4000?
    Thank you.
    mestill.

You mentioned the only two options. It may 4000 tracks but they can be
added to library with on use of the 'add folder' to library function in main
menu. Select the podcast folder when you do it and they will all be added
    to library.
By the way you were not getting answers because you were indicating that
you did not want to do either of the two options that do what you want.
The reason why I was not interested in the two options was precisely what’s
ending up right now. I have to resubscribe to everything, plus use the add
folder to get the ones that are no longer downloadable, since some of them
are only available for a limited time. So now I have duplicates all over the
place and I have to spend time not only reconnecting everything but weeding
out extras. This option was not a good call.
The original reason why I asked and didn’t want to use the options I
mentioned and you suggested was because it didn’t make sense. My
playlists were fine, my library was untouched, it was only the podcasts that
seemed to disappear. Movies, there, tv shows, still there. So what caused
this one part to detach? I was hoping there was some small thing that someone
could suggest, some pull-down menu or internal code I could type in that
would re-direct the something-or-other to where the podcasts were. I know
there wasn’t any reason it decided to do this, the laptop didn’t shut down
abnormally, no electrical storms, no viruses, nothing weird. So what changed?
I am also a computer tech, so that is usually the first question I ask, “what
changed?”, usually something downloaded or installed, deleted or other
such thing. I already checked all this, however I do not know all the ins-and-
outs of iTunes. Hence why I asked here.
So instead of finding something where I can fix it quick I get work. Lots of
work. This did not resolve the issue, just wallpapered over the hole.

  • Got new computer where did my podcast go?

got a new computer re downloaded itunes got all my music back but my podcast are not here how do i get them back ? They are on my ipod as well ..

    Hi venicefromriverside,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the method you used to transfer your music collection. If you are seeing your music but not your podcasts in iTunes, you may find the following article helpful, in particular the external drive portion which details moving the entire iTunes folder:

  • Where did my old podcasts go?  I just upgraded iTunes?

I just upgraded iTunes and now I cannot find my old podcasts.  Where did they go?  How do I get them back into iTunes so I can relisten to them?
    I'll appreciate any help.

the iPhone is not designed to work as a standalone phone. It MUST periodically sync with iTunes. You may have memory corruption on the phone, and syncing it may fix that. If not you will have to connect to iTunes and do a Restore. If it is hacked or jailbroken there's nothing you can do.

  • My iPhone 5 was restored from backup, and while it was restoring everything else all my pictures slowly went from 900 to none. where did they go and how do I get them back?

My iPhone has been acting very strange lately and the only way to get it to turn on and function is to restore it. I restored it from a backup of my phone before I restored it. I was mostly worried about my pictures. I was relieved to see them all there,
until the number of photos in my camera roll and other albums began to go down. soon enough, all the pictures I had restored were deleted. where did they go and how can I get them back?

    Hi bluegrandpanash,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you backed up your iPhone to iCloud before updating the software, first try the steps under "Restore from an iCloud backup" in this article to recover your data:

  • Mini player for video podcasts? Where did it go?

I am having problems with the newest version of iTunes (11.1.2). Before, when I wanted to relegate a video podcast to the corner of my screen where it was viewable but didn't take up all of my screen space, I would click on the small rectangular miniplayer icon and get that - a small version of the video playing in the upper left hand corner of my screen.
Now if I double-click on a video podcast to launch it  it takes up much of the screen. Clicking on the miniplayer in that window goes to the grey rectangular miniplayer used for music, and in fact starts playing either a radio station (where did that come from?) or some other music. Not even the sound from the video podcast. Reverting back to the square shaped miniplayer with the program icon doesn't change that. There doesn't seem to be a way of playing a video podcast in a small window. The right button on top switches between full screen view and most-of-the-screen view. In older versions of iTunes that used to evoke the miniplayer, and video podcasts would shrink to a small view in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
Is there any way to solve this problem? I often want to watch video podcasts while also doing something else and the current screen-hogging doesn’t let me do that.
MacBook Pro 13" late 2009 running OSX 10.6.8. iTunes 11.1.2

Well, upgrading to ITunes 11.1.3 didn't solve the problem. It helped, in the sense that now I can get the square mini player and a still image of the video podcast, and the sound from the podcast works, but the image doesn't move.
I tried trashing the iTunes Preferences, hoping perhaps one was corrupt, but that didn't solve the problem either. I am now wondering if this is an OS glitch. While iTunes runs on OSX 10.6.8 (SL), which is what I use, it has problems, which perhaps don't appear in more recent OSs.
Can anyone confirm that on a machine running OSX 10.6.8 he/she has iTunes 11.1.3 with the mini player successfully running video podcasts?
    thanks

  • Deleted an app from Itunes 11 - would like to restore it - where did it go?

Deleted an appfrom Itunes 11 - where did it go? not sure if I checked move to recycle or the other option.  sorry to bother everyone about this but Itunes help is opaque and useless, it seems.

Apple states that it keeps your last 3 iCloud backups, which would only go back a few days if you back up daily.  Also, apps are not stored in the backup, only your app data is.  The backup simply notes which apps were on your phone when it was backed up, then downloads them from the App store when you restore the backup.  If the app is no longer available in the App store, it will not be restored to the phone when you restore the backup.

  • Why did my podcasts disappear with iTunes 11 upgrade?

I had a lot of podcasts [before upgrading to 11], and only one batch remains in the podcasts link (of which there are 2 for some reason in the left hand column). Where did the others go? Can i get them back?

Just restore the /Music/iTunes/ folder from your most recent backup.

  • When I open iPhoto its asks me what photo library I want to use.  I already have a photo library that i've been using for 2 years, where did it go? and why am I being asked now to choose a library or "create new" what happened to all my photos?

When I open iPhoto it asks me to choose a photo library.  I already have a libary with photos and events in it that I've been using for 2 years.  Where did it go?  What happened to all my photos

We have no way of knowing what goes on on your machine. All we can tell is that your iPhoto library is missing and iPhoto can't find it. If you can't find then I the only thing you can do is restore from your Back Up.

  • Where did the Home Video tab go?

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) running Yosemite 10.10.2 and iTunes 12.1.50.  I also have about 900+ home videos taken by my various cameras and encoded using HandBrake or iMovie over the last 10 years.  30 of these movies have been on my phone for over a year and I regularly watch them.
I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS8.2 last night by doing a restore as if a new device.  This was recommended by a tech at the Apple Store since so much of my phone's  16GB was taken up by the operating system.  After that, I suddenly had more than 3GB more free space.  Yay!
But - right away, I noticed that only 3 of my 30 home videos had synched.  I had those 30 in a special playlist so I wouldn't have to sort through the other 870+.  I decided to remove them from the iPhone and try again, but it didn't work.  So, I decided to remove them from the playlist and add them again.  That's when I noticed that I cannot find the Home Videos tab in iTunes on my Mac anymore.  It was there earlier last night because I had just added new ones to iTunes (visual confirmed they were in the Home Video tab once added to library).  I tried to import all 900+ home movies, and it seemed to do something - but I still can't see them.
I tried to search for "Home Video" in the iTunes help menu - no hits.  I always use "Home Movies Favourites" as the Genre for the 30 I put on my phone, so I tried searching for that in the movie search box.  Nothing found again.  I tried searching for individual file names.  Nothing.
So - where did Home Videos go and how can I get it back?  My files are still on the hard drive, but I have spent hundreds of hours updating the tags in iTunes with irreplaceable info like dates, locations, memories, etc.
Apple - please stop making such drastic changes to iTunes every time we just finish getting used to your other changes!

Hello! I said... I want the ability to input analogue video into my camcorder so I can continue to transfer VHS and input and record video from other sources. The new HD cameras on the market will not allow you to record video from any source except for the lens.
I have HD cable box. I want to record my HD programs from cable (HBO, Starz, etc) to my camera, download the video to my Mac from the camera and then edit them in iMovie and create professional looking movie DVD's in iMovie.
iMovie HD can work with mini DV HD cameras and HD video. I was not aware of a system requirement for working with HD content.
