Where did Settings General Profiles go in IOS 5.1.1

So I use my iPad as a work demonstration device and I need to be able to delete certificates from my iPad. This was quite easy in IOS 5.0. However, in Apples infinite wisdom this tab is no longer available on the device. Can someone please help me locate how I can remove certificates for EAP-TLS from my iPad2 running IOS 5.1.1??

Well, this question actual and for me to. Where is "Profiles" menu? How to delete certificate now?

That you have a beta copy of iOS or an iPad tied to a corporate account and the beta or corporate credentials are expiring soon.

  • Do I need the "Wildcard in House" in the Settings, General, Profile. This says that it is expiring and cannot find any information about this from Apple or Verizon.

Do I need the "Wildcard in House" in the Settings, General, Profile?
This says that it is expiring and cannot find any information about this from Apple or Verizon.

Apple haven't yet signed agreements with yell.com and similar local information services here in the UK or in europe. The rumor is that in the UK and others, will get it sometime towards the beginning of the year.

  • Where did my ICC profiles go?!

I have an Epson R1900 and OSX 10.6.1 (32-bit on 1st gen Core Duo MBP 17), latest Epson drivers, latest Adobe Creative Suite CS4 and latest Aperture 2. I often use papers from 3rd parties that supply ICC profiles that I select in the print dialog. The ICC files are in Macintosh HD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles.
Since going to 10.6 I have not always been able to use these. If I print from Photoshop the ICC profiles are all shown where they're supposed to be, but in other software like Aperture and Indesign only one of the profiles is visible, and it's for a Canon printer I don't have anymore. I need to print a portfolio that's in Indesign and my Moab Entrada Bright profile can't be used in anything but Photoshop, and if I want to print photos I have in Aperture on RedRiver Polar Satin I need to use Edit In Photoshop!
Is this a common problem? Anybody have a fix?

Same problem here. Did anyone find this out?

  • Where did photostream and Cameraroll go in iOS 8?

Please add camera roll and photo stream back
I will not update the rest of my devices while those are missing.
I  Cant even tell which photos are on the device and which are on the cloud. Nor can I remove it from one spot and leave it on the other. That's Garbage You guys did an awful, shamefully bad job on ios8 photos. ITs the only reason I am still want to be on ios7
    Seriously bad job.

    Hey Rajpdx!
Just to share, this is an Official Forum for Apple users, not exactly a direct way to share your ideas with the Apple Team.
What happened to camera roll and My Photo Stream is that they merged into the same. Take a look, all the photos you take are sent to iCloud.
You can find your photos in the 1st tab (Photos). On the 3rd tab (where usually the Camera Roll stayed), you can find just the most recents photos taken, and the ones you have deleted, because now they stay on the cloud for 30 days, for your backup, and after that they are automatically deleted forever.
hope I could solve some of your doubts

  • Where did voice-to-text go in IOS 8.1 Message app?

I've done a pretty extensive search and I can't find anyone asking about this - so it may just be me.
I understand why the development team decided to make  the microphone send a voice clip in Messages instead of converting voice-to-text.  The problem is that now, when navigating a message thread, it's impossible to find the message you want without listening to all of them (and annoying people around you). Without the visible text, all the voice messages look the same.
Providing an option to change how the microphone works, giving the choice of restoring the pretty nice voice-to-text we had until last week, would seem smart.
I'm sure this was done as an "improvement" to stop finger texting as a safety measure, but it comes with a lack of usability.  The Siri engine still does voice-to-text nicely but not in Messages.  Another approach fix would be to include the first 5-10 words of the message in text along with the sound clip.
Am I alone out here with this woe?
    Chaz

And, one last thing.  The default setting makes voice clips go away after two minutes so my rant about finding them in a thread is moot.  You CAN set the app to keep the voice clips but I don't know what the memory impact would be -- and you still can't tell what they say without listening.
    I'll go away quietly now....
    Chaz

  • Where did the sleep timer go in IOS 5? It's been changed to "stop playing"

When previously using the sleep timer, I would set a time and then choose for the device to "sleep" at the end of the time. Now the choice has been changed to "Stop Playing." This is a huge problem because it does not sleep the device; it only stops the music from playing. Because the music app continues to run, battery life is profoundly shortened. I verified this at the Genius Bar when I noticed my battery life dropped from several hours per charge to about 1.5 hours. Can a sleep timer be used in some other manner now?

What was the answer when you asked at the Genius Bar?

  • How do i get iphone to blink when i have messages?  already did settings, general, accessibility, LED on

i am trying to get iphone to blink when i have messages, got any suggestions?

From what I was told the iPhone 5 doesn't this capability.  U would think that would be one of the basic features of the phone.  I switched from an Android and now pretty much regret it.  Android has so many more features than the apple. Only thing I like better is the iPhone is alot faster otherwise Android has it beat.  If there is a blinking light notification I would sure like to know about it.

    Hello there, tonjay82.
There are some great sources of information in the following article that might help you in resolving the issue at hand:
    iOS: Understanding Restrictions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4213
Particularly of note is the following:
You can enable and adjust Restrictions, or Parental Controls, on your device to prevent access to specific features or content on the device. Locate these settings by tapping Settings > General > Restrictions.
            and
    Additional Information
If your iOS device is missing a particular application or if a certain feature is not available, ensure that Restrictions are not enabled. Symptoms can include:
App missing from the Home screen (Safari, Camera, or YouTube for example)
Feature or service unavailable (Siri, Location Services, and so on)
Setting missing or grayed out (such as Mail, Contacts, and Calendar; iCloud; Twitter; FaceTime)
Important: Restrictions can also be enabled or enforced using a profile (typically installed when using the device for business or education purposes). You can check for installed profiles in Settings > General > Profiles.
Thank you for reaching out to us at Apple Communities on this issue.
    Cheers,
    Pedro D.

According to your info, you have an iPad first generation and iOS 4.3. That version of iOS doesn't support OTA updates. And iOS6 is not supported on the iPad first generation.

    See this tip --> http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
If this doesn't resolve it you most likely have a hardware failure. Fortunately, your phone is in warranty, so if you take it to an Apple store they will replace it.

A profile is used on iOS device to add specific settings and similar things to an iOS device.  Tryically, they are added when the iOS devices is controlled by a company or school.
However, some apps install a profile. If your iPod is not controlled by a company or school then it seems an app added the profile. You can good the title if the profile and see if that gives any info.

Well, after another call with Apple support and the engineers, no success.  After spending over 20 hours trying to debug this, I give up.  Apple was basically fishing for a solution with trial-and-error settings on the iphone.  Then they wanted me to plug in software to log my iphone connections to the router, etc, etc., etc., at which point I decided I no longer wanted to participate in their testing process and will simply return the router.
25 hours of my life I'll never get back.
Big bummer, and frustrating for all the obvious reasons.
