Where did the "back-button listbox" go?

It used to be (firefox 3.xx) that I could click a little arrow and choose to go back in my recent browsing history as many pages as I had viewed on the current tab. Now (firefox 4) I have to click back one at a time. How do I get the little listbox to come back up?

I solved the problem. Now it is a right-click which triggers the appropriate response.

The iTunes app cannot disappear ... it may be on a different screen.
Regardless, you can force it to your home screen by doing:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Where is the "Back" button on 4s?

Well, I have about 1 week left on my new iPhone 4s for testing having just come off two years using the Samsung Galaxy S. On any Droid phone there is such a thing as the Back button which makes life infinitely easier just getting out of apps and stuck pages.
How do you users manage without such a button on the iPhone? There are many times that when reading a article from a website like "WSJ" you are stuck with no obvious way to get back to the begining to the main page. If someone sends you an email with a link to a youtune video you cannot go back to the email from where you started; you must hit the Home button and start again.
Unless I am missing something, I do not know how to get around without a "Back" button!
Any help is defintely appreciated and will help me decide positively on the iPhone.

I agree, managing without a back button makes no sense. Is there a back button? Double tapping the home button twice doesn't work when review music and starting over is not resonable.

I bought yesterday an Iphone 4s and I liked the fact that you can dictate instead of writing, whenever the keyboard appears. I restored everything I had on my old 3gs mobile and, after I did that, the microphone button disappeared. I upgraded the software but still... it's not there. What can I do to have it back?

That means you have moved to FCP X 10.1.1.
It uses the new Library model and the Projects button is gone along with the Projects folder.
Search this forum for how to update from older versions.
Done the correct way it's trouble free whereas the incorrect way leads to headaches.

1. Somehow I lost my "back" and "forward" buttons. There where there one day and now they're gone. I have a refresh button, an add bookmark button and a go to homepage button but the others have vanished. Where have they gone?
2. Are there key commands for "back" and "forward?" It sure would make surfing easier.

Go to your Safari View Menu and select Customize ToolBar. There you'll be able to drag/drop the back/fwd buttons to the bar.
Quickkey command -
back command key + [
forward - command key + ]
These key prompts are listed in the History Menu.

Where is the back button on iphone 5?

Hi, new to iphones.
When I open an app like email, text message, often I find there is no way to go back one screen other than hitting the home button to end the app.
Am I missing something here?
Is there a back button like Safari has but for the phone operating system?

For Mail and Messages it's in the top left corner and it is usually labeled with the page your going to go back to. There is no back button like Safari in those apps.

Where did the AirPlay button in the video app go in iOS 8?

I Used the quick AirPlay button in the video app quite often. I just upgraded to iOS 8. I noticed that it is gone. Am I missing it anywhere? Why would this be removed?

No don't bother restarting anything, like me I know my hardware is working fine but it was something to to with the iOS 8 update.
I fixed my iPhone 5 by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. I will warn you now that as far as I know it will wipe every stored WiFi network you've ever connected to so you will have to enter them in all again but that doesn't bother me.
I'm sure the good people at Apple are already working on a fix so you could always wait.

Where did the "sleep" button go?

I turned my iPod the other day and noticed that the menu had changed and I can no longer send my iPod to sleep when I am done listening to music. The option has vanished. I tried updating the software, resetting the iPod, with no better luck. Any thoughts?

If you go to SETTINGS > MAIN MENU and set the SLEEP to ON, it will come back.

I can update my apps from the iPhone, but not from iTunes.
What happened?? This used to be SO easy, and now, I just can't find an update button on the appstore on iTunes for my apps. Is this a new "feature" for iTunes 10??
Incidentally, how the heck does one get in touch with Apple's technical support? There is a email-contact button for this, but it only leads to this forum or some other static pages - Very misleading, innit? Very frustrating too..

If you are referring to apps for your iPhone, this is the wrong forum for this question. This forum is for questions about the Mac App Store, which while similar in concept is for Mac OS X apps and does not use iTunes. I'd suggest you ask for assistance in the Using iTunes Store with iTunes for Mac forum. You'll be more likely to get useful advice there.

Apple technical support is via phone only; there is no email support. If, however, you want to contact the iTunes Store customer service department, you can contact them using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button).

That change was made in Firefox 4, 6 months ago.
Click-hold the unified Back / Forward button <br />

First time going to a site where I do not have access and clicking the back button I'm returned to the root site instead of the site I started from

I have SharePoint 2013 enterprise using ADFS for authentication. I have an issue where the first time going to a site where you do not have access and clicking the back button you're returned to the root site instead of the site you
started from.
ie:
1) at site http://www.sharepoint.com/sites/finance/home.aspx
2) browse to
http://www.sharepoint.com/sites/finance/private/home.aspx
3) receive a message: you do not have access to this site ((oops went to the wrong location - I'll hit the back button))
4) click the browser back button
5) get returned to http://www.sharepoint.com/pages/home.aspx
This only happens the first time browsing to a site that I do not have rights to, after this I can browse to the same site and hit the browser back button and return to the correct site, or any other site that I do not have access to.
Any ideas as to why this happens? Ideas of where to start looking?

From your description, when you receive access denied message and hit back button in browser, it redirects you to the root site but not previous site. However, this just happens at the first time.
You may try to use some tool or check log which can tell us how does it handle the request when you hit the button. And compare the issue time and non-issue time.
I'd suggest you use Netmon tool:

i know there is a classic theme addon for windows but i need a fix for osx...its very frustrating when you update and things like this change and cant be customized back to the way we are used to using the browser. its counter intuitive to have the refresh page button so far away from the back and home buttons.

Is Classic Theme Restorer only for Windows? I thought it worked on Mac, too. Some of the pre-selected interface items like the Application Button may match old Windows versions and you may need to deselect those in its Settings dialog.
To access that dialog, you can use the Add-ons page. Either:
* Command+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions, the on the right side, look for the Options button below Classic Theme Restorer.
