Where Did "Update All" Go?

It used to be that when I had multiple apps that needed to be updated, there was an option in the App Store to "update all." They would then update in the background without the need for any more input.
Recently though, that option seems to have diappeared. At the top of the screen, there are two buttons: "All" and "Not On This iPhone." To update those which show a need for updating, I have to scroll down a long list, and then update one at a time. Worse, each time I update one, the phone kicks back out to the main screen showing that particular app loading and then installing the update. To update another one, I have to go back into the App Store, scroll down the list, and repeat the routine again over and over for each app.
Did something in the software change, or is there something I can do to get the convenient "Update All" option back?

They would only be where you put them.
You should be importing them to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update.
If you failed to do this, then they are likely gone.
You can try a restore from backup.

I have just done exactly the same thing! How frustrating!!!

Have 4 apps in waiting mode after I did update all, have done hard reset, deleted the apps setting general usage now I don't see them and no option to delete please help

I have iphone 4s sprint, i did update all for 4 apps and they got stuck, I have tried to hard reboot and did delete the apps from usage under settings but they came back and there is no way to delete and even if i try to install it says installing so can't do anything..

Todd, have you "thrown the switch" to tell Palm Desktop to direct the data to Outlook?
Start Button/All Programs/Palm/PIM Conduit Sync/Sync with Outlook.
You said you're "using the Outlook 2007 Conduit" -- does this mean you installed the Outlook 2007 Update on top of Palm Desktop 6.2.2? If so, that may be a problem as 6.2.2 comes with 2007 compatibility built into it!
I have read several posts recently where a user made the same mistake, and it caused some problems. If throwing the switch above does not fix things, I'd uninstall/reinstall Palm Desktop, but do NOT install the Outlook 2007 patch.

Where did they all go?

Ok when I first got my Ipod Nano a week before my birthday, mid November. My mom and I went to visit my Dad in Alabama. (I live in Texas) I got my Ipod Nano and I started working with the software on his computer. I got about thirteen songs. I come home, insert the software and the Nano and succesfully download ten more songs onto my Itunes Library. Now I'm ready to put on these ten new songs. So I disconnect and reconnect the Nano and it give me these little boxes of stuff that say that I'm unauthorized to play these songs on this computer. While my Nano is saying not to disconnect. So I just click ok. I get out of Itunes and all that, to the point that my Ipod no longer flashing "Do not disconnect." I look at my Ipod and those thirteen songs are GONE. Without a trace. So I restarted my computer and downloaded the ten songs. Now where did those thirteen songs go? How can I get them back? They aren't in my library. I just don't know. Any ideas would be helpful.

Several ways to 'merge' the two Libraries:
- Burn the 13 music files to a CD or DVD (even a floppy disk) and copy them into your PC
- Use a USB 'Flash' drive to copy over the songs
- Use the iPod as a transfer device, as this extensive Apple link explains
- Network the two PCs and directly copy the files
- Sync the files to the iPod and use a recovery program to extract them from the iPod to your PC: See http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=1293794#1293794
The first two options would be the easiest. The others are there just for completeness and 'giggles'.

I updated all apps on iPad now they are stuck on installing ! Have tried everything don't want to lose my books!

Try update those apps with iTune (computer) and sync to iPad.

I clicked on iPhoto today, and nothing comes on my screen? Where did they go? Don't know what I did. Help, please and thanks.

What does happen? DOes the application launch ? backup your iPhoto library, depress teh option and command keys, launch iPhoto and use the resulting first aid window to rebuild yoru library

After the ActiveSync, where did it all go??

Model: Treo 700wx for Verizon
I just installed ActiveSync on my new laptop (Windows XP, SP3), and a trial version of MS Office 2007 just so I could, at least for 60 days, back up the Treo's information in an organized way. I purchased specifically a Windows Treo so that I could back up the text messages, as it supposedly saves them with the emails. Well, I hooked up the Treo, and pressed the button on the sync cable, and ActiveSync says it's backed up my Calendar, Email, Tasks, Notes, Favorites, and Files. But I can't find where the hell they went! I found my Treo's pictures on the computer, in a logical place, but I don't know where anything else went. My new MS Outlook has only empty folders. Where would I find this important data?
(I am aware that the Palm site has a download for a Windows Mobile Version 6.0 that's specifically designed to be compatable with Outlook 2007. But installing this would erase all the data on my Treo, which would be extremely counterproductive to my goal of backing it up.)
Can anybody help me here?

I believe I installed Outlook before ActiveSync.
Outlook does not prompt me to select a user. I can't even find how to select a different user. All I see are empty folders.
When I first synced the device, I checked off all the categories I wanted to sync. It allowed me to do so for everything except email (notes, calendar, contacts, etc.). Email syncing had been already assigned to a previous computer, so I had to delete the old account for that computer; then I was able to select email syncing for this laptop. But in any case, I've synced with the cable several times since then, with no clue of where that info went.
To be clear, it's not that it doesn't back up text messages, but that I can't find ANYTHING it was supposed to sync except for pictures. When I tried on the previous computer, it did manage to sync everything except text messages/emails (albeit in a mislabeled, non-intuitive manner), but that was with Outlook Express which I am told does not have the full functionality required for the Treo with Windows Mobile.
I didn't set up any email accounts with Outlook because I want to use it exclusively with the Treo's info. I'd rather set up Thunderbird or something for my actual email.

Where did update go?

I got a notice to upgrade my iOS on my iPhone and told it to go ahead. It is 1.46 GB! I let it grind away until bedtime and about 2/3 of it was in. I clicked on the button to pause the installation and shut down the computer. Now I am ready to resume but cannot find it. Where is it hiding? Thanks.

OK, I realize that the update was through iTunes so I opened. iTunes. It wants me to start from scratch. Why did the paused update disappear? I takes HOURS to download and I do not want to go through that again if I can find the half-loaded one that was paused. Thanks.

Where did it all go wrong?

i got several problems. so any suggestions would be great.
My main problem is that as soon as i try to connect my ipod to my laptop i get a 'do not disconnect' sign which then freezes and doesnt do a thing.
Or at other times it just flashes with with the 'DNC' sign and still does nothing.
As soon as i unplug it, it is fine.
i have made sure that everything is updated and i would restore ipod if laptop would recognise it.
Have run out of ideas so any suggestions would be great

Where did "Boomark all tabs" go? I only see how to bookmark one at a time now. :(

In versions before 4.0, there was an option that let you "bookmark all tabs" as well as an option to bookmark individual tabs. It has gone with the new version and I used it all the time and it will be a pain without it. I hunted through options and couldn't find anywhere to turn it back on. Is it gone or am I blind?

* "Bookmark All Tabs" no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
* "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

Yes, restoring the phone to a new one...
It's ok then as my other files are just around 241 MBs, I was worried as it didn't went down to zero as it was when I first held the phone, thought it might have taken up some malware or something as also the space kept on increasing one or two MB in every 15 minutes while connected to the net(I guess even this is ok!?)...
But it's still much much less than u said what might be problematic...

Where did Bookmark all tabs feature go?

I use bookmarks extensively. I particularly like 'bookmark all tabs' feature. FF 4.0 no longer lets me do this. I use this feature so much that I would stop using FF 4.0 if I can't have it back.

I almost uninstalled and went back to Firefox 3 because they eliminated this option from the stock 4 version but there is a simple solution.
To "bookmark all tabs" in Firefox 4 and later versions just add the add-on feature at the link below which will restore the "Bookmark All" feature and can be accessed under the Tools menu, or directly by using the shortcut "Control-Shift-D" but this only works after you have installed the add-on feature.

Help!! Where did all possible ringtones go?

Just checked today for songs available for ringtones and from over 100 before, i am now down to 3!! What happened? Where did they all go?

I have this problem, too. In 7.4.1 I had this problem, but when I upgraded to 7.4.2 the ringtone bells showed up again. The next day, the bells have disappeared again.
If you can remember the songs that can be made into ringtones then that will help because iTunes will still let you make them. Otherwise, it becomes trial and error. In the Store menu there is the option to "Create Ringtone..." when you have a song selected, and you can also get the option from the contextual menu that appears when you right-click on a song. Try it on a song and iTunes will then let you know whether you can or can't do it for that song.
I don't know why the bells have disappeared again. It seemed to have been fixed by the 7.4.2 update, but maybe it wasn't or maybe there's now a new problem because the bells are gone again. I hope they figure it out soon. I wonder if it has anything to do with the preference file...

There is no way to possibly tell unless you want to provide some pretty specific detail about operations you were performing leading up to your situation. In fact, it's not very clear what your current situation is. Exactly what all is empty? Where did exactly what all go?
The basic relevant fact is that playlist information is stored in the iTunes Library file, which typically resides in the home iTunes folder.

Where did everything went?!

Hi everyone,
I searched before postong this, but didn't found anything related...
I did a battery pull to my curve and after rebooting my apps are gone. They are not unistalled, simply gone.
I can see them on my aplications list, but nowhere else..no icons, nothing in folders, I switched themes, did another battery pull...
So, where did it all went? the notifications still appear on my main screen but I cant access my apps!!
(facebook, bb messenger, windows live msn, etc etc etc.....)
