and now I want to explore the Decision Trees feature
of Data Mining (as in the presentation of Robert A.
Habertroh in OTN). However when I use Data Miner
connect to this new DB, it said "Cannot connect to
ODM server". There is no directory odm under my
$ORACLE_HOME.
BTW: I download the from odmapi.jar

ner.html, but now it said there is odmapi.jar for
10.1.0.4.0 only. If I use this Data Miner to 10gR1 is

Hi James,
8.5 is way past it's end of life so not much info or samples available any more. We did not have much Java support in that version and what we did have should be installed with the Developer version. Look in the Program Files, Seagate Software, Viewers folder. There should be a java viewer jar file there. The help file should also have Java help info.
If you don't have the developer version I suggest you upgrade to the latest version. Java has become a large part of CR and the functionality has expanded considerably.

internet filesystem server. Our version of Internet File System is
9.0.2.1.0, Does Version 9.0.2.1.0 need release.jar for Ifs-API? Where can i download one?

if you're using oracle, i'd recommend using oracle's type iv jdbc driver. i don't know what that oranxo.jar thing is.
you can get the oracle driver here

Where can I download JAXP, I can't find the related links, It is just said that "J2SE 5.0 - The latest release of the Java 2 Standard Edition Platform, which now includes JAXP 1.3 and many other features." But I have checked my jre dictionary, there no jaxp.jar parser.jar there. Someone said in Tomcat lib there are also such files, but I havn't found them.
Could anyone tell me where could I download the jar file of API?

when using a vendor's JDBC drivers, you must go to the vendor to get them. For Microsoft here is a good place to start: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/downloads/
These JDBC files should also be included with you SQL Server CDs...
