Where do I download more effects?

I heard there were a bunch of new effects for ichat and photobooth that weren't included on leopard that apple has to download, but I can't find it . Is this true? Can someone link me to the URL where I can download them?
I use a website called Stickam that lets multiple people video chat with each other and alot of people have effects they can do to their video stream, can I use the ones I have on my mac in it?

Hi,
MoreiChatEffects were produced when Leopard was the current OS.
They have been created with an Earlier version of Quartz Composer (Part of Xcode) and do not work properly in Snow Leopard and Lion.
They are also Installed incorrectly.
The Apple ones are in System/Library/Compositions.
Any Items being installed for All Users should really be in Library/Compositions (with User Only in Home Folder/Library/Compositions)
MoreiChatEffects adds them to the System/Library/Compositions along with the Apple ones.

Where can i download more backgrounds?

Hey guys,
I like making videos for the purpose of sharing music I've written. However, there are only so many background choices to use like "underwater", "industrial", or "blobs". Is there a way to download more backgrounds? I would use still frame pictures, but that can get boring. Thanks!

actually, iM09 doesn't allow installation of any plug-ins, add-ons, theme-packages etc.
and the backgrounds are not just 'videos', you could easily replace, but complex 'Quartz animations'.

record your own 'background' .. point your camera to some pond, a tree in the wind, a campfire, smoke of a cigar, while driving thru Monument Valley .. I assume, I would have thousands of ideas to 'illustrate' music/lyrics.
to make those videos more 'background-ish', de-focus on record (if cam supports manual focus), de-saturate, over-saturate (iMovie's video-settings), 'all knobs to max/min' .. => make the video more 'abstract' than real ..

Where can I download After Effects CS5.5?

I got a new computer because my old one broke so I lost the After Effects CS5.5 and it's the only program I have a code for. I searched on the Adobe site and they only offer CS6. Is there anywhere I could download 5.5 again?

Adding More Effects

Hi Everyone,
Under the Effects tab in LiveType, there are some effects that one may play in the background of a title. (such as Urban, Earth, TimeWarp, etc...) Is there a place where I can download more? Or just create the title with no background and add a movie (that is a nice steady pattern) as a background? As for the version of LiveType, I am not quite sure. It came with Final Cut Express 4, if that helps.

Just Google the word Livetype and you should see what's available as far as other LiveType content.
You can export just your text with a transparent background ( so you could put a video under it in FCP ) by un-checking "Render Background" in the file requester when you export your LiveType movie.

I've been using Keynotes for some time, where type machine effect was one of my default-effect style on text. But now I turned to Captivate – a day or two ago –, none of those in the existing XML Gallery of Captivage presents this feature. Where can I find it? Is it downloadable somewhere? Many thanks

Indeed, I found one animation. Is it the one you are refeering to? I think it can be found in two places: in the first one under "Properties" > "General" > select effect "Type effect". This one is OK except of that vertical cursor I do not want. The second one under "Effects" > "Add an effect" fx effect: I can't find that typewriting effect in the existing library, and I guess it is extendable, but I don't know how. Where can I find more fx effects?

As an Oracle trainer, I consider the OBEs to be very important. I doubt that Oracle will get rid of them.
However, it takes time to make them. I suspect that they are created when a new feature needs to be demonstrated and the product management has the resources available.
I just wish they would make the original set from Oracle8i available. They provided some very important basics which have long since hit the archive pile.
I'm sure that some of the ACEs would be happy to upgrade them to Oracle10g/11g level. I know I would be willing to contribute to that effort.

It has been available at some online retailers (Amazon) and EBay – but only as part of the discontinued Final Cut Studio suite. It would be cost--prohibitive to buy and there are other more cost-effective solutions. Depending on what you need to do, MPEG Streamclip might be a (free) solution. There are others – Episode, for example, which is not cheap at $500– but less than haf the cost of buying an used copy of FCS.
Another approach (and the one I would follow in your situation) would be to install Mavericks on an external, bootable drive. Run a copy of FCP 10.1 and Compressor 4.1 from that drive.

Where is the download page for the cpan shell for OS X---i.e. the program I run by typing "cpan" which lets me manage and download perl packages from the cpan website?
I have this installed on my machine, but I can't remember where I installed it from. Now someone is asking me how to install it, and I don't remember the answer.
I do remember downloading a cpan package from somewhere and I think building from source to install it. But I don't remember more than that.
There is no cpan package in fink, and Googling for the answer is less effective than you'd think. I did find a cpan-mac page on Sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cpan-mac/), but the comments on the front page make me think it's not longer supported.

   There was a Perl for Mac OS 9 and maybe that sourceforge project is for that version of Perl. However, the Perl that comes with OS X already has the CPAN shell in it and all you need to do to use it is to execute the command that Charles posted. You'll be asked a bunch of questions but you can accept the defaults for everything except local mirrors, which will be determined by your locale.
   If you check you'll probably find that you have "cpan" aliased to the command that Charles posted. That's what I do and it will work on OS X "out of the box."

Where can we download the "old" speedgrade, so we can give better feedback for integration with aftereffects and premiere. I haven't used speedgrade, but I'm assuming it's like Davinci Resolve ... color grading is something you have to play around with a bit, to give decent feedback on integration. On one extreme, I like the ease of aftereffect composites. On the other hand, using graph operators (such as in Resolve and things like blender) ... is real nice ... but it's really not how i do work on the adobe side. I'm looking for a color grading approach that isn't for tier 1 film, but more for tier 2, independant and/or corporate work. I'd also love the ability to mix special effect compositing (like I currently do with AE), with coloring (which I currently have to do in in another program). I also have two work streams I would like to test, one RED and another 1080p for normal corporate stuff (which i currently don't color grade btw).
Anyway, I see some wierd links on downloading the old speedgrade, I don't see any download links on the speedgrade web page ... would be nice to see what the old speed grade does so I can comment competently.

Adobe SpeedGrade CS6 is at the door, official preview will be held at NAB, I'm currently testing a preview version of SG CS6 and I want to say that it works very well, so stay tuned on the Adobe website.
I tried to "stay tuned", here on this Adobe Website ...and your post is the first confirmation that Adobe Speedgrade still has any sign of a beating heart.
Totally dissapointed in Adobe for lack of SG communication to keep my interest up.
Regardless of that, I am looking forward to seeing it.

I was online
On your current version (2004s) no additional installation is required, you have to model and work directly on the Visual Composer Storyboard.
That means no local installation or DK, just go to your NW Application Server and start to modeling.
This make your development life more easy and effective, cause no special tools are required and all the modelers have all the tools in the same box, also the risk of overwritte do not exist (that could happen with NWDI)

I bought this laptop with Vista I got him a CD with the system and on this record were already drivers and add-ons to your laptop or other cool things such as Toshiba drivers for camera, Bluetooth, Synaptics, dvd software, and a program or driver I do not know exactly what it is, but such a cool thing that allows you to set the lights on the whole panel, including a laptop with the word "Satellite". Everything fits nicely, but only with Vista that I got on the board from Toshiba.
Now, I went on Windows 7 As for the fundamental drivers that have them from the manufacturer Toshiba eg driver webcam or mouse. But the more I depend on these great things that I had under Vista, even though that panel backlighting laptop.
Does anyone have any idea on this that all additives in the CD that I got, where it is Vista, you can somehow extract these extras, or is a site where you can download it all, or a list of these additives to Win match 7

First of all you can download all drivers and tools from the Toshiba website:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
For the illumination buttons and illuminated Satellite you have to install Toshiba Value Added Package. It activates also all functions on the FN keys.
As far as I know the illumination can also be turned on/off in BIOS. Check this!!!
The webcam driver is also listed on the Toshiba page and touchpad driver to enable virtual scrolling.

Where can I download my Old Skype V 7.5

I have the new Wimndows version of Skype but it does not display poperly on my laptop, the buttons are just round clear circles with nothing in them.
Plus with this version I can not copy and paste a grab of a graphic with out having to save the file first.
My old version of skype worked beautifully doing these tasks.
So where do I download the old version 7.5.
Every link I seem to get sends me to the new Skype for Windows version which I already have and dont want.
