Where do I download photoshop 5.5 (1999 Version)?

It works on my Windows 7 computer. I recently ghosted my computer so to clear the computer completely which took out photoshop. I have all the files on the computer under the Window.old folder but can't figure out how to re-install these files. I have the CD at my parents home but need it ASAP. I had my mom read off the seriel number so really all I need is to re-install the files that are already on the computer.

Unfortunately, even if there were a download link it wouldn't help. PSE 6 had different serial numbers for downloads and boxed versions that were mutually incompatible, and back then you couldn't just enter a serial number into the trial. That's probably why adobe doesn't have a download available for PSe 6.

I have an original upgrade cd for Photoshop 6, no not CS6, but it is damaged. So now Adobe made old versions up to CS2 freely available, I would like to download the contents of a Photoshop 6 upgrade cd. I only can find the free CS2 download. Can anyone tell me where I can find Photoshop 6, so I can use it on my vintage Mac?

As far as I know, no one has Photoshop 6 available for download - it precedes the earliest versions available thru the archive of links at http://prodesigntools.com/. which is the primary resource for acquiring original trial versions.
The CS2 download is not free, nor is any other Adobe software that was sold in the past - it is available to people who already purchased the software and need to reinstall.

2. If you mean you are wondering if the software is compatible with Windows 8, I would tend to think not. Rather than buying an external drive you could consider buying the latest version of PSE instead.

I have Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS5.1 Extended editions on my desktop. I purchased these in December 2011, the serial numbers for them show up on my Adobe account when I login and look at my products.
I wanted to install these on my new laptop - so I went to 'Downloads' - Older products, and can only find CS5 for each, not CS5.1
So I downloaded CS5 versions instead, and installed them. These activated successfully using my serial numbers. Then I tried to update them. The only updates available are 12.04 for Photoshop (CS5.1 is version 12.1), and also, the updates wouldn't download?
Any suggestions as to how I can get 5.1 onto my laptop?
