Where do I essentially start?

Hello one and all!
Tried to call the general customer support number, but my phone is being incredibly tempermental at the moment so I thought I'd plonk myself onto here.
I currently live in a building where the owners have their own phone line, internet connection, etc etc. However myself and a flatmate are looking at getting our own 'net sorted, primarily for gaming really. Not really fussed about the phone-hub side of things.
Now this sounds quite simple, however I've never set up anything like this and have no idea where to start looking.
Could anyone direct me with the next step in where to continue? We have a phone line plug to hand.

Well, the arrangement is more difficult than that.
I live in a hotel / pub / restaurant (live-in staff, huzzah!) and the two internet connections availiable are either the managers basic 'net (which is in the managers flat totally out of reach) or the hotels free Wi-Fi, which is what I'm using right now.
So even though your insight is useful in terms of resourcefulness, I'm afraid I'm after the straight hub setup.

Where should I to start learn about SOA ? I found many terms here such as ESB, BPEL, and much more. Those technologies offer different approaches and I found no basic knowledge about this or I miss something ?

Make sure you have the right system requirements before you start to update the iOS, you will need:

Okay, let's try this -
1. install DAQmx - http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/4240/lang/en It says that it only supports the PXI version of your card, but so does T-DAQ so it will probably work.
2. Open the program NI MAX on your computer and see if the 6070E shows up in the Hardware section. You can right click on it to checkout the device pinout.
3. Open an example. If you are using LabVIEW, in labview go to help->find examples...->Hardware Input and Output-> DAQmx-> then whatever type of measurement you want.
If you are using text based to programming. There is a textbased examples folder you can get to by going to start ->all programs->National Instruments->DAQmx then the text based stuff.
4. In the example select the device name that showed up in MAX and the correct pins from the pinout.

How does Labview stores the binary data - The header, where the actual data starts etc.

I have problem in reading the binary file which is written by labview. I wish to access the data (which is stored in binary format) in Matlab. I am not able to understand - how the data will be streamed in to binary file (the binary file format) when we save the data in to a binary format through Labview program. I am saving my data in binary format and I was not able to access the same data in Matlab.
I found a couple of articles which discusses about converting Labview to Matlab but What I really wanna know is - How can I access the binary file in Matlab which is actually written in Labview?
Once I know the format Labview uses to store its binary files, It may be easy for me to read the file in Matlab. I know that Labview stores the binary files in Big Endian format which is
Base Address+0 Byte3
Base Address+1 Byte2
Base Address+2 Byte1
Base Address+3 Byte0
But I am really confused about the headers, where the actual data start. Hence I request someone to provide me data about - How Labview stores the Binary Data. Where does the original data start. Below attached is the VI that I am using for writing in to a binary file.

Hi Everybody!
I have attached a VI (Write MAT file.vi - written in LabVIEW 7.1) that takes a waveform and directly converts it to a 2D array where the first column is the timestamps and the second column is the data points. You can then pass this 2D array of scalars directly to the Save Mat.vi. You can then read the .MAT file that is created directly from Matlab.

However, I would definitely recommend using the Matlab Script node (All Functions->Analyze->Mathematics->Formula->Matlab Script). In order to use the Matlab Script node, you must have Matlab installed on the same computer. Using the MatlabScript node, you can take data generated or acquired in LabVIEW and save it directly to a .mat (Matlab binary) file using the 'save' command (just like in Matlab). You can see this in example VI entitled MathScriptNode.vi - written in LabVIEW 7.1.

HT5295 Does anyone else have an issue where Video Podcasts always start at 1.5X or 2X speed?

I always have to reset the speed back to normal when I start a podcast.
Every podcast always starts fast. I cannot find any setting that says what speed should be the default.

Issue confirmed.
I tried dialing in five times with each of the following settings:
Connecting on LTE (with no confirmation boop-boop tone that I'm on the 3G Extender): the telecon login worked five out of five times. This is impractical for me as I have wretched LTE signal where I live and it snaps hard over to 1x signal every 2-5 minutes and drops my call. That's why I got an extender!
Connecting on 3G (after a #48 positive confirmation boop-boop tone that I'm on the 3G Extender): telecon login worked zero out of five times. I had stellar 3G signal, but the 'overdialing' DTMF problem was consistent and I was unable to connect to the telecon service.

App does not show up on display where it has been started

I have a macbook pro latest model with up-to-date osx, and i have an external monitor connected to it through a thunderbold->dvi connection.
When open an app on the exernal display either from the dock or using the finder, the programm is always showing up on the main display on the macbook pro, and i have to move everything back to the exernal display.
Is that normal like that, or is there a way to change this, so that program show up on the display where they are started ?

PowerShell add Printer Permissions where the printer name starts with...

I have a printer server that has printers for multiple buildings. All the buildings have abbreviations like "BLD" for example, so my printers start with the same building abbreviations
like “BLD-Printer1”. Is there a quick an easy way to set permissions on printers where the name starts with something like BLD?

Just wanted to point out that in addition to using .NET/WMI to enumerate the printers, Windows 8 has a native PowerShell implementation you could use. It supports remote management, so you can even use it from a Windows 8 client to target your Windows Server
2008 R2 instance.

Does this work on WS2008R2 PrintManager Queues? I find no -SDDL except on WS2012. WS8 is missing this parameter. Is it only available on WS8 Enterprise?
WS2008R2 also does not seem to support this.
Get-Printer and its cousins are wrappers around The Q functions posted above. The API has no security bits before WS2012. Look at the MSDN and Technet articles for this CmdLet and the other "Printer" CmdLets.

I have just bought a NB500 Netbook in Portugal so the Quick Start Guide is in Portuguese, and I need a copy in English.
Can anybody tell me where I can get one?

As far as I know these guide lines a part of the installed image and are in the same language like the preinstalled OS.
Dont think you can download this from other pages in different languages
What you can do is to download the Toshiba drivers, tools and user manual in other language

Where can i find start/stop scripts for all SAP instances

I installed CI, DB and Dialog instance on a standalone S10 machine and i could see start scripts under /sapmnt/RAM/profile
START_DVEBMGS09_hostSAP
START_D24_hostSAP
But i cann't see stop scripts for the above and also i cann't see start and stop scripts for SAP DB instance. Could some one point me where i can find them when everything is installed on a single box.

- The executable sapstart.exe must be in the same directory

hi, Is it possible to form an Endeca query to retrieve a field that must start with certain letters? Say like get all users who's first letter is 'A' ? I checked with Range filters but it is supporting only numerical fields as well as Wild card search. But nothing worked well so far. any suggestion?

Yes. Here's the gist of how it works:
Typeahead is commonly implemented by enabling wildcard search on one or more Dimensions. An AJAX query is sent out containing the beginning of a search term. A controller in the app layer answers that AJAX query and formulates an Endeca Dimension Search query. It sends that off to the Endeca MDEX engine. Endeca responds with relevant Dimension matches. The controller returns these to the client who made the AJAX request. They are rendered as hyperlinks that lead to a particular navigation state in the catalog.
