Where do I find Adobe Acrobat End User License Agreement?

When I attempt to open Adobe attachments online, I get an error message stating:
Adobe Acrobat
Before proceeding, you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement.
I have launched all Adobe programs and am not prompted to accept anything. Where would I find this?

I'm having this same issue.  Did you ever figure it out?

Depending on which Adobe application you are using, the EUA will vary somewhat
and there are several applications that handle PDF products, Adobe Reader is one.
You could check into the results linked here that show several end-user-agreements
with Adobe over a few product lines; to see what may apply to whatever you're using.
•Adobe pdf end user agreement -- google results link:
    https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=Adobe+pdf+end+user+license+agreement
In the open application, near where the name of the product appears, you should be
able to check into such places as "about Adobe..." when you click on the Name.
Since I only have Adobe Reader, not any of their retail application programs, what
little that tells me may not be anywhere near enough to answer your open question.
In Adobe Reader, if it were not to work on initial installation, I'd likely have to open the
application from its location in the Applications folder (in Adobe reader folder) and then
agree to the terms of the EUA in a small window that would appear at that point... and
after that any use of the Reader should simply be almost automatic if another application
sends a PFD request for the Reader to run and let me read content. Mine is set to not
do anything automatically, for security purposes, though. Hope the search links help.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • I get a message saying: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement". HELP!!

Hi i have an iMac with  10.9.3 and when i tried to open a PDF link or a PDF document in Safari 7.0.4  this message appears: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement".  What can i do to solve this?

Back up all data before making any changes.
Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
    Step 2
There should be a setting in the preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
    Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
    Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
    Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
    Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

Acrobat Reaader will not work before I accept End User License Agreement. But where and how?
Have installed version 9.5 on my Windows 7 desk-top computer.

I don't know what you mean by "where and how"; Adobe Reader will automatically present the license agreement to accept the first time you use it.

    Hi Tbeirne,
If you just want to save a pdf opened in Safari to your machine use the save as option from within the Reader plugin window. Just click on any of the buttons highlighted in below screenshots to Save a pdf at any location on your machine.
    or
To summarize the issue, if you had opened an Internet PDF in a browser plug-in, you must use the save feature in the plug-in, not the Safari File > PDF Export, or File > Save As...
Please let us know if this solution works for you and you are able to save and view PDFs files locally.

  • From acrobat 11.0.07 before proceeding you must first launch adobe acrobat and accept the end user license agreement

Whenever I try to click on a link to open a pdf file, I receive the following message "before proceeding you must first launch adobe acrobat and accept the end user license agreement"
However, my adobe acrobat is working well and I just recently uploaded it.  Any ideas?

    Hi stephendubai,
What browser are you using? Please see the last post in this thread to see if the linked document resolves your issue as well: Re: Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept EULA

  • End User License Agreement, Safari 9.0.4, No Adobe Acrobat installed

When I try to open a PDF document from a link within Safari (Mac OS 10.9.3, Safari 9.0.4), I keep getting a warning that I must accept the End User License Agreement for Adobe Acrobat.  I do not have Adobe Acrobat.  This happened after I migrated all my files to a new Mac.  I have no idea how to get out of this and I need to be able to read these documents inline rather than downloading.  I already have accepted the EULA so please do not suggest that.

Well, did you launch Adobe Reader from your applications and accept it there?

  • Where can I find the end users license agreement?

    Hi!
Every time I try to open a document online the windows pops up with the notice that I need to agree to the end user license agreement in order for me to be able to view pdf. How can i do it?

Have you actually opened Adobe Reader (as instructed) to see if it offers the ability to accept the agreement?
If so and it didn't work, what version of Reader, OS and web browser are you using?

  • Acrobat Pro XI problem+Accept End User License Agreement when opening a PDF inside IE

Hi folks, this issue has been challenging.
    Acrobat Pro CC install
    W7 X64
Deployment went ok after the code was worked out, but.....
We use Desire to Learn content management system at the community college where I maintain the student computers at. When running D2L and a PDF has been embedded in some course material, I am getting the message below and the PDF won't open.
“Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement" .
The only fix so far is to run up Acrobat Pro and run the program once. Fine and dandy, but we are looking at 700+ machines to clear in this fashion. The other part of this scenario we we also utilize Respondus Lockdown Browser to invigilate exams through D2L. Because of the "lock down" features, the student can't even get back to the desktop to run Acrobat and clear the message.
I have tried a number of GPO entries to no avail. As well, disabled the IE PDF viewer add-on. I ran Procmon with no results either; .
I have been scouring the Googlemachine and building on the GPO below to get around the issue with no results. I am hoping someone with a sharper eye than I can spot something or point me in the correct direction..
    Thanks eh.

  • Trying to open PDFs and it says it won't open until I accept End User License Agreement but i can't find that anywhere.

Everytime i try opening a pdf this message comes up "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser" I have no idea where to find this agreement to accept it.

If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement. In Mac, with Reader closed, go to your Applications folder, double click on the Reader icon, and follow the lead.

  • Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.

I have tried to relaunch adobe but still keep getting same message. I can however download file and then open it with preview but would like to get this sorted!!

    Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:

If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • Accept the End User License Agreement.  Where is this done?

I am trying to launch documents from the web and I get the following: Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement.  After launching the product, there is no option for doing this.  I have gone to my account and also find no option.  I am trying Acrobat Pro as part of the Creative Cloud.  Thanks.

Try running Acrobat on its own (not from within a browser window).
PS - This is the Adobe Reader forum, not the Acrobat forums.

  • How do I access the End User Licensing Agreement? I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I need to launch Adobe Reader, accept and close and reopen. Trouble is I can't get to an icon for file to launch. I am working on a Mac and have installed Mac

I am using a Mac and have installed Adobe Reader for Mac, latest version. I cannot access the End User Licensing Agreement. I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I must launch Adobe, check that I agree, close and reopen. The problem is I can't find any way to launch Adobe because it appears nowhere on my launch pad, nor in my document files or on the control panel.
