Where do i find icloud on my mac?

it`s not on my preferences

You must purchase and download Lion from the App Store. It is not available through Software Update.
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You must purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
     Snow Leopard General Requirements
       1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
       2. 1GB of memory
       3. 5GB of available disk space
       4. DVD drive for installation
       5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
           fees may apply.
       6. Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and
           terms apply.
Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
     Lion System Requirements
       1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
           or Xeon processor
       2. 2GB of memory
       3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
       4. 7GB of available space
       5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
         1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
         2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
         3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
         4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
         5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
         6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
         7. Xserve (Early 2009)

See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.

Where do I find icloud on my mac?  I have looked under system preferences but it isn't there.  I thought I had the latest software and my iphone has icloud on it.  Now do I get it on my mac so they will talk to each other.  Can't sync calendar.

You don't need to install any software to play MP3's. If they don't play, they're bogus, which is what you should expect when you try to download pirated music from a torrent.

  • Where can I find mechanical keyboard for mac with nordic layout?

I could find mechanical keyboards for mac, just not in nordic layout.

On nordic layout keyboards, we have these letters: Æ Ø Å on the right side of the keyboard
Additional physical keys are not needed, and no keyboard is likely to provide them. Instead, a keyboard translation table (software already included in your Mac) is used to change the function of the keys to the right of and below the P key.
In the three Norweigian keyboard translations, those key translations [ Æ Ø Å ]are provided. One of the Swedish translations provides them as well. The only thing missing is the graphic on the standard key-cap. Use a sticker or a sharpie marker to write the graphic on the key.

When I go to icloud.com should I see a photostream option. I do not. It is on my iphone but where is it supposed to syn on my Mac?

Photo Stream requires the newest version of iPhoto on your Mac. You can buy it at the App Store.
There isn't a way to view Photo Stream files at iCloud.com and there isn't an icon for it on the Web page.

    Hi--
    apples-Computer:/usr/local/mysql apple$ cd data
    -bash: cd: data: Permission denied
    apples-Computer:/usr/local/mysql apple$ sudo sh
    Password:
    apples-Computer:/usr/local/mysql apple$ cd data
    -bash: cd: data: Permission denied
    apples-Computer:/usr/local/mysql apple$ cd data
    -bash: cd: data: Permission denied
    apples-Computer:/usr/local/mysql apple$ chmod +rw
    data
    chmod: data: Operation not permitted
It looks to me like you haven't gained root access in the examples above. If you follow Niel's example:
<pre class="command">sudo sh</pre>you should get a different prompt when you actually are the root user:
<pre class="command">sh-2.05b#</pre>because you'd be changing shells from bash to sh.
I'd like to set the folder /mysql/data to except me
    for coppy database folder
How can I get the permittion to access the
    /mysql/data folder
You should be able to do anything to those files without changing permissions if you're the root user.
But, just for your information, I never directly move the database files. If I want to move a database between computers, I always use the mysqldump command and redirect it to a file:
<pre class="command">/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqldump --add-drop-table -u username -p db_name > /path/to/output/file.sql</pre>That makes a single text file with all the SQL commands necessary to build your database tables and populate them with your data. If you want to restrict it to just one table from a database, you can add the table name after the db_name:
<pre class="command">/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqldump --add-drop-table -u username -p db_name table_name > /path/to/output/file.sql</pre>To import that file into another machine, you have to create the database first, which you could do with phpAdmin. Then, just import the tables and data like this:
<pre class="command">/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql -u root -p db_name < /path/to/output/file.sql</pre>That'll create all your tables and populate them with your data.
If you copy your databases this way, you're much less likely to run into trouble with compatibility issues if you're moving between machines with different versions of MySQL.

  • Where Can I Find Information on the Mac OS Filters

There are a number of Filters available in STP, which are also available to virtually every other application that processes audio on the Mac. However, I have not been able to find any documentation for the Mac OS filters. Is there a document that outlines the settings and usage of these filters?
I ask because I record live band performances for local bands. Generally, the vocal tracks for a singers are in tune, but occasionally, the vocal pitch will waiver just slightly off note; not enough to notice live, but can easily be heard when reviewed on the Mac later. As I don't have the option to re-record the arrant vocal, I was hoping that I could correct small variations of pitch in post, so that the CDs produced from the performances would sound the best they can.
I thought the Mac OS>Pitch filter may do what I want, but I can not find any documentation on how to use it (or any Mac OS filter for that matter). Using the defaults does not seem to do anything... good or bad.
I know this has to be a run of the mill problem, as N0 vocalist is perfect, so the solution to this has to be obvious to anyone who mixes bands for a living, but this is my first attempt as sweeting up the vocal pitches - I am the guy with the gear, so I get the job.
Any suggestions on what filter(s) I could use to fix pitch drift, and where I might be able to find documentation on all the Mac OS audio filters would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Thanks again.
Kind of what I figured. I was hoping there would be a way to automatically correct slight pitch aberrations. But it looks like it has to be a manual process and dependent on my ear.
BTW - yes the vocals are on discreet tracks.
I was looking at apps like ReaTune and Gsnap, but they seem to be PC centric, so not of any use to me.
Do you have a recommendation of which of AUPitch or Pitch Shifter II will give better results, or in what conditions one would be better than the other?
    Thanks
    Gary

  • Can I install Linux for Windows on my Apple Mac and afterwards use old windows programs as PageMaker on my new Mac. If yes where can I find Linus windows for Mac

Can I install Linux for Windows at my new Mac and afterwards use old Windows programs as Photo Shop and PageMaker on my Mac? If yes where at the Internet can I find Linux for Mac and Windows?

What is your definition of a "Linux for Windows" ?
There is Linux like Ubuntu which can be installed on a Mac
    See the UbuntuForuns here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MactelSupportTeam
And there is Microsoft Windows which can be installed and used on a Mac with Apples BootCamp http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/ or through Virtualization apps like Parallels, VMWare Fusion or VirtualBox.
Windows Programs don't run in a Linux only in Windows.

  • I cant find icloud on my mac

icloud no longer appears in my applications list.  All I did was reset photo streaming

No wonder. You're two operating systems behind. The only way you can use iCloud is if you are running Lion v10.7.2
    v10.5.8 is Leopard.
You will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard first v10.6.8 so you can download Lion from the App Store.
If you decide you want to upgrade, make sure your Mac meets Lion's requirements:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available spare
