Where do I find my 'Administrator password'?

I've successfully downloaded Mavericks but have now been asked for 'Administrator password' in order to install it. What is Ap and how do I find it? Thanks.

The administrative password is the password you use to log onto your account, assuming you have administrative priveleges with your account. It is stored in your system with a one way encryption meaning you can enter the password and it will be recognized but there is not way to retrieve it. You can however reset the password.

Where can I find the app "password Saver" by yonglin wang?  while updating my iphone the app was dropped for some reason.  I went to reload from my purchased apps and it is not available.  The history shows my purchase but I can not find the app to reload.  I've lost some critical info and need to retreive if possible.  Any suggestions?

You tried what ? If the app is no longer available in the store (can you find it in the main part of the store ?) for re-downloading then you would need to have a copy of it somewhere e.g. on your computer's iTunes, on a backup of your downloads.

  • Where do I find my alternative password? My phone won't accept my finger swipe.

Where do I find my alternative password?

The same screen for the fringerprint should be showing a space to enter your password , if not you can do this to unlock your phone.
Your next step is Google Android Device Manager for your device and your Google account. You can use Android Device Manager and your Google account password to unlock your phone if set up. If not you need to do an FDR (factory data reset). If your data is backed up to Google you will be able to restore with no lost. If not your data will be lost.

I'm trying to install the os x but I got the point where its's asking for "administrator password". How do I get that password?

That password should be the one you used on the system *before* you do the upgrade.
If you got the computer used from someone else, you need to get in touch with them and get the password.

  • Where do I find my network password?

I can't seem to find my network password? There is no entry for it in my Keychain, and yet I am connected to the network currently. When I go to System Prefs> Network> AirPort> Advanced> and doubleclick the network, it gives me the option of showing the password, yet when I check the box, the dots just turn into asterisks and don't show any password. Obviously my laptop is remembering the network or I wouldn't automatically be connecting to it, and I am, so where can I find where it's hiding the password? (I'm running Mac OSX 10.5.8 on a Macbook Pro)
    Thanks much.

Nevermind, it was hidden in something called Cisco Connect, which I'm pretty sure Rogers installed on my computer.

  • Where can I find the keychain passwords?

I've just clean-installed my OS and now I can't find the passords stored in Keychain — Keychain is empty. I still have the old system available ona cline. Can anyone tell em where i can find the files that store the info in keychain so I can copy them all over to the new system?
    Many thanks.

It isn't that keychain is not supported, its Keychain syncing that isn't supported in iCloud. Your keychain information will stay exactly as it is now and be unaffected by your migration to iCloud.
If you wish to view your keychain information, you can do so using the "keychain access" application which you will find in the utilities folder in applications on your Mac.

  • I have no folder for firefox in application support... where can I find the stored passwords from my time machine back up!!?

Everywhere I look it says I should have a folder for Firefox in library/applicationsupport/ BUT I don't have one! I'm looking to restore passwords from a time machine back up but there's no Firefox folder so I don't where to look. I even did a fresh install of Firefox on my mac and even then it never created a Firefox folder in library/applicationsupport/... they must be store somewhere in my back up...!?

Hello kamilr, check also in :
    ~/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder>
The tilde character (~) refers to the current user's Home folder, so ~/Library is the /Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library folder.
note that in mac 10.7 and above, the ~/Library folder is hidden by default, see : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders#Mac_OS_X
when you find the file seek for '''key3.db''' and '''signons.sqlite''' files.
Your passwords are stored in two different files, both of which are required:
'''key3.db''' - This file stores your key database for your passwords. To transfer your saved passwords, you must copy this file along with the following file.
    '''signons.sqlite''' - Saved passwords
    thank you

  • Where can I find the WEP password for my older airport extreme?

I have a log-in password for my home network, but my HP printer wants a "WEP Password."  I don't know where to find that.  Any ideas?

It's a brand new printer, just out of the box.  It should connect via wireless, but it doesn't recognize the network security password.  The router is an old Airport Extreme, the kind that looks like a big white chocolate chip.  I tried through the airport utility to check on its security settings, but the dialog box said this version of airport utility didn't support the router and to download airport utility 5.6.  I did that, but it wouldn't let me do anything, not even update to 5.7, which it recommended, because it didn't recognize the password.  The password works to access the network from other devices, though.
I suppose the next thing to try is to reset the router completely, but I hesitate to do that because I am not sure it will let me back into my network after I do that.  Since it only recognizes its password sometimes.

  • Where can I find my Airport passwords in my Time Machine backup?

    Hi,
I have reinstalled Mountain Lion. Now I found the folder in my Time Capsul where the keycahins are saved. (Library->kechains) I only need the passwords for WiFi Internet access. Which exact data do I need to restore?

One thing that catches my eye is the path name
    ~/Library/Keychains/

  • Where do I find my WiFi password if I forgot it?

I bought an I-Pad and am setting it up. I clicked United States and English..now I'm on the screen that wants my Wi-Fi password, which I don't remember....how do I get a new password for my WiFi, or get past this screen?

Sorry, but your question really has nothing to do with Firefox support!
There is no version of Firefox that is made for the iPad.
You posted here with Windows 8.1 and Firefox 36.0 - is that a laptop that has WiFi?
If so, maybe you saved your Password for that router in Firefox??
See this - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/password-manager-remember-delete-change-passwords#w_viewing-and-deleting-passwords - to learn how to '''view''' your Passwords in Firefox.
