You don't. It's gone. You should really pay more attention to the prompts that pop up on your computer before you just click 'ok'.

Where can I find the iPad back up files on my PC?

    Try "C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup".
If Moible Applications is inside iTunes instead of your media folder then you should consider using File > Library > Organize Library > Rearrange files in the folder "<Media Folder>".

Restoring from a backup and setting up as a new device can't be done simultaneously. It's one or the other.

Or, if you want to restore from a backup, right or control click the iPhone under Devices then click Restore from Backup.

    Hello Pseal
There are tow ways you can handle this. One is to copy the notes to your computer using iTunes to send them to Outlook. The other would be to create or have an iCloud account so that the notes are synced online and then all you have to do is sign back in to get them. The following article will assist with troubleshooting the issue.

where can i find my iphone backup password?

Warning: If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and then forget your password, you will not be able to restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable. If you forget the password you can continue to do backups and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
If you cannot remember the password and want to start again, you will have to do a full software restore and when prompted by iTunes to select the backup to restore from, choose Set up as a new device.

where can I find the Iphone backup files?

The following claims the ability to extract Notes from a backup made using iTunes. I haven't used it so can't comment on how well it works. Once extracted the Notes would be readable on your computer but you would still need to get them back to the new phone. http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/ibackupextractor/

The best way to get photos from your iPhone to your PC is described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
If you want to extract content from your backup you will need a 3rd party iPhone backup extractor. There are quite a few; google for it, and choose a free or inexpensive one.

  • Missing iPhone back up files

Yesterday I had an appointment with an Apple Genius because iOS7 was running very slow and iTunes was unable to locate a lot of my apps after I upgraded to iOS7. I was told to go home, back up my phone and restore it as a new phone. I was told that if I did this and the probelm still existed I could always restore from this most recent back up. I restored and set up as a new phone and the problems still existed. However, now the back up that I did just before restoring my phone is not showing up in the list of back up choices. I have the most recent versions of iOS7 and Mavericks. Any suggestions where I might find this particular back up?

iTunes>Preferences>Devices...your backup is listed here(iTunes only keeps one normal backup per device) & is already dated. Any backup listed with a time/date stamp is a backup created from a restore point...these backups are not overwritten.
