Where do I find pages on my macbook if it was preinstalled?

I am unable to find pages '08 on my macbook. I just got this yesterday. I've never had one, my last laptop was a sony and it is extremely different! So if anyone can help me find pages it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Apple Discussions
The trial of Pages will be in Applications > iWork '08 on your hard drive. You'll want to leave it there so if Apple issues any updates, Software Update will be able to find it. The easiest way to keep the icon in the Dock is to right-click or hold & click on the icon in the Dock while Pages is running & choose "Keep in Dock." Then you'll only have to click once on the Pages icon to launch it.

  • Where can I find a new 2008 Macbook Pro Battery?

I hav had this laptop computer since 2008 and just recently discovered that the battery in the bottom is morphed/melted from too much heat. I read online and they said that this is normal and that i just have to buy a new one. Well, I have searched and I can not seem to find one. Where can i get one of these batteries?

Bulging is not normal, but the Apple Stores are getting hard-nosed about replacing a swollen battery out of warranty.
Apple still sells batteries for all MBPs but they are more expensive. If you do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click on "More Info..." that will bring up System Profiler showing the exact version of the MacBook Pro you have. The screen will look like this (note I fuzzed out the serial number--don't post serial #s here):
The second line in Hardware overview--Model Identifier--tells us exactly your variant so we can decide the battery that you need. For some MBPs, the 15" and the 17" version use different batteries. If you post the model Identifier and your screen size, we can point to to a specific battery.
Personally. I am somewhat reluctant to recommend eBay or similar sites. There are a number of reports here of auction site batteries sold as "new" arriving with 20-40 cycles on them. That's not "new." There are also some counterfeit batteries, branded Apple, but are inferior.
I know the batteries that Apple sells are not great (my MBP from Late 2007 is on its second bad Sony battery), but third-party batteries seem worse based on posts here. You need to be careful if you go outside the Apple product line. If a responder here says they found a great third-party battery that lasted a long time, consider that but only from the same vendor the happy camper used. Ask  for a link that's not ebay.

  • My sister can't find Pages on her Macbook Pro Mountain Lion, can someone help?

My sister is new to her MacBook Pro Mountain Lion and thinks she may have deleted the Pages program. She's away at college for the first time and needs this program. I've told her to use Finder and search for Pages, or look in her applications, but to no avail. Help?

How did she acquire Pages in the first place?
If it was a purchase from the Mac App Store, all she need to do is launch App Store (from the  menu is easiest), sign in with the Apple ID & password used, click on 'purchases' & click the INSTALL button to the right of Pages in the list.
If it was from a retail DVD she will need the DVD to reinstall.

  • Where can i find ram for 13" macbook pro mid 2009?

I upgraded from 2G to 4G 2-3 years ago. Now I'd like to go to 8G, but Apple doesn't appear to be selling it anymore.
Any suggestions for a reliable 3rd party solution?
Here's a few specs of my Macbook Pro:
    MacBook Pro
    13-inch, Mid 2009
Processor  2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
    Thanks,
    Ty

    Thanks very much!
Crucial looks good. Can't believe how inexpensive RAM has gotten for this MAC!
    I also saw they have a Seagate 1TB internal hard-drive for $105?
    http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Apple/macbook-pro-%2813-inc h%2C-mid-2009%29
Considering I only have 160gb internal right now, that's pretty hard to pass up too.

  • Purchased game on iTunes, where do I find it on my MacBook?

I'm lost, my son gave me this Macbook, he is now in NZ. Please help, I am lost!

I would look first in your Downloads folder. The game may be there but may in the form of a disk image that you need to open and then install the game. Or the game may already be installed and in your Applications folder.

  • Where do I find replacement keys for Macbook Pro late '11?

My T-button is very loose and falls off as I type. I can see that the button is slightly broken underneath where it connects to the hinge. I want to buy/get a new key - where do I buy this?

You can try an Apple store genius bar and see if they can help, and also try on-line at www.iFixit.com as they have a lot of parts for sale.

  • Where do I find Maverick update?

I neglected to upgrade my iMac to Maverick and now I want to install some other updates and can't because I didn't install Maverick first. Where can I find it to install it?

I was able to figure it out when I did a search and saw I could install Yosemite. It didn't actually tell me there was no Maverick, but it let me install OS X Yosemite, and no bells or whistles went off so I figured I was safe. Thank you for the reply.

  • Where can I find a download or disc for CS4?

We have had to restore my computer, so I'm in the process of reloading all of my programs.  Unfortunately, I can not find my CS4 disc to reload it-I can't think what might have happened to it, we've looked everywhere!  I've tried contacting Adobe, and they said they'd normally replace it but since CS5 came out, they don't have any copies with which to replace it.  I am not able to upgrade to 5 right now, and desperately need my program to do my work.
We have CS4 Web Premium for Windows.  I have our serial number, I just need a copy of the software.  Adobe even recommended to borrow a disc from a friend if we could find it, and reload it with our code.  But so far no luck.  Is there anywhere I can find a legitimate download or replacement disc?
Thanks so much for any advice/info you can give!

I know...and I specifically asked a few times if there was any place where I could find a download.  All I got was the suggestion to find a reseller, or spend 799 to upgrade to CS5.  Finally the second lady I talked to suggested borrowing a cd (and come to think of it, maybe she wasn't supposed to do that =)
Only a couple hours left until I can say if it worked!

i downloaded lion but lost the setup assistant.  please help me recover the setup assistant.  i do not know where/how to find/enter information in the terminal as was suggested.

Launch the Terminal application; e.g., by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search.   Copy or drag -- do not type -- the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. Confirm.
Reboot. The Setup Assistant will launch.

  • Where can I find the reason why a process was suspended?

    Hi everyone,
where can I find the reason why a BPM process was suspended a in CE 7.11 system?
In "Manage Processes: Process Instances" is see it is suspended, but the history and data objects are fine, so I see no reason why it might get suspended. I assume some problems within a Mapping Activity, e.g. a Bunsiness Rules call does not work, or there is a data mapping problem. For further troubleshooting, I need more information...
    BTW, I read
[SAP Help: Process Troubleshooting|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/en/c9/8bbe067ee343258b8dd83fee859092/content.htm] but it did not help me. The Process Server Log does not work, see [my SDN forum thread|"Process Troubleshooting: Process Server Log" does not do anything?!; so I can't look up there.
    Thanks, Georg

  • Where do i find sound effects or loops ...

Where do i find sound effects or loops?

There was a Software Update yesterday that included a few hundred mb of sound FX - they appear as mentioned in the music and sound browser, accessed on the right where the two music notes are.
If you've ever had iLife, there's a tonne more content in that too (the Jingles folder in particular contains loads of quite useful muzaky, copyright-free soundtracks in a wide range of styles).
You can also add a whole folder of music as an event, and all the subfolder names are used as tags for the audio clips within it.  I did this before I realised the iLife stuff appeared in the audio browser.  It works well either way.
