Where do I find Server Name?

I just installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Express.  I started it; it's asking me for the server name.  There is actually no server name for this.  I am just using this to manipulate a few files that I'll receive via FTP each day.  I'm not really
logging into a server, and I can't find the name of this computer.  All I have is the IP address.  This is a Windows XP machine (not sure if that makes any difference).  I looked for the instance name in the Registry; there was nothing.
How can I login, or somehow create a server name?
Thanks all!!
Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

May be this would have helped.

  • Finding Server name

    Hi All,
    In my application i communicate with SQL database.
    Now, we create DSN file for accessing table...We can create DSN file through labview also, what i want to know is, how to create it how can i find  SERVER name in labview itself.
    This is how DSN file format is...
    [ODBC]
    DRIVER=SQL Server
    UID=sa
    DATABASE=TBP314
    WSID=PI-1501I-C2016
    APP=Microsoft Data Access Components
    SERVER=PI-1501I-C2016
    [ODBC]
    DRIVER=SQL Server
    UID=sa
    DATABASE=TBP314
    WSID=PI-1501I-C2016
    APP=Microsoft Data Access Components
    SERVER=PI-1501I-C2016
    How can i find "BOLD" part in it in labview? I hope my question is clear to you all.

    Hello Gaurav;
    I am not sure where you got that code, but i found out that It's not recommended to create databases on-the fly and to store all datasets in defferent tables. With Microsoft Acces and other databases, you can use relationships betweeen recordsets and tables to organize large amount of different types of data, which can be easily retrieved from one source.
    To do so, you can find a set of instructions in the following link
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/151C96CC8EFAB6A786256CC2007C1178?OpenDocument
    However if you want to dinamically create a database, you can either create a .udl file file in labview by using the open/create file function with a .udl extension. To configure the UDL properties you have to call the SDK for the MicrosoftHost Integration Server by using  .NET Assembly.
    Another method of connecting to Access without using UDLs can be found in the following link
    KnowledgeBase 2E7GIDDT: What Is the Difference between a System DSN, a User DSN, a File DSN, Univers...
    I hope this information works for you!!
    Good luck!

  • WebtopNaming - can not find server name for server ID

    We have a LB, and web servers in front of OpenSSO app servers in our environment.
    OpenSSO debug log CoreSystem fills up with lot of errors like these:
    ERROR: WebtopNaming.getServerFromID() can not find server name for server ID : 07
    com.iplanet.services.naming.ServerEntryNotFoundException: Cannot find server.
    Sometimes, it even complains about a server id (07 in the following trace) which doesn't even exist in the Site Id Table.
    There are no changes in the configuration. DNS is properly configured and all the servers and their connectivity are available. CoreSystem throws these errors even after a restart of opensso app servers.
    Any ideas about the root cause?

    Here is my site configuration in OpenSSO:
    There are 4 servers in the two opensso hosts (2 secure, 2 non secure)
    Servers:
    http://host4.company.com:8080/openSSO
    http://host5.company.com:8080/openSSO
    https://host4.company.com:8443/openSSO
    https://host5.company.com:8443/openSSO
    Only one site with secure URLs is configured
    Sites:
    site1
    Primary URL: https://opensso-qa.company.com:443/openSSO
    Assigned Servers:
    https://host4.company.com:8443/openSSO
    https://host5.company.com:8443/openSSO
    From the CoreSystem log, Server ID definitions are:
    https://host4.company.com:8443/openSSO=01
    https://host5.company.com:8443/openSSO=02
    https://opensso-qa.company.com:443/openSSO=03
    http://host4.company.com:8080/openSSO=04
    http://host5.company.com:8080/openSSO=05
    Sometimes it throws an exception with existing server IDs. But sometimes it also complains about non existing server IDs.

  • Where do I find "Domain Name Servers"?

    I just created my website using iweb '08 and I purchased my personal domain name using godaddy.com. Once I was ready to to let the world see what I had created, I clicked publish and it took a few minutes and once the website was finished uploading I couldn't find it anywhere. I called godaddy and they informed me that I need to the "domain name servers" from Apple. I have no idea what this means and no one can seem to help me. Can anyone help me find where I can get DNS?

    This page here explains how set up your domain: http://alyeska.altervista.org/en/iWeb_Domains.html

    Hi All
    I just wanted to know the filename and pathname where the server logs are generated.
    Best Regards
    Majid

    you need to enable logging in jserv.prperties by using
    wrapper.bin.parameters=-Djbo.debugoutput=cpnsole
    log=true
    and in jserv.conf
    ApJServLogLevel debug

  • HT1822 I don't find any application för Server Admin for my Mountain Lion at Mac app store as stated in the information. Where can I find it?

    Where can I find Server Admin after installing Mountain Lion? I can not find it on the store or anywhere? Please help, I need it to connect to my server from my other mac's, in order to administrate without logging in to the server.

    If you want the new OS X Server (Mountain Lion) look for "OS X Server" in the App Store.
    Server Admin no longer exists for OS X Server - the main functionality like Mail service and Open Directory has been simplified and integrated within the new server app.
    The optional Server Admin add-on for Lion was only available from the Apple support site, not from the App store.

  • Email server name defination

    please see metalink Note:427962.1
    Testing email option for demo page "runrepIAS.html"
    I need to change the email server used to report. Where is this email server name defined?
    This process does not get the email server name from the config files in $ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf
    Thanks

    I just ran the demo (following the metalink note) and I am using the:
    <pluginParam name="mailServer">%MAILSERVER_NAME%</pluginParam>in the rep_myserver.conf file in $ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf
    and the value MAILSERVER_NAME is defined as:
    MAILSERVER_NAME=myemailserver.comin the rwsevlet.properties file.
    I also changed it to a different smtp server and that worked also, just to make sure it was using the value defined in my config files. Why do you think it is not using that value?

  • How the find the name of each div element for Android firefox

    Hi guys, I have been trying to customize the ui of my Android firefox. I think the first step is to find the name of each element so that I can add my own css via stylish. For example, I wanna move the tab count beside the address bar to the right bottom for easy one hand use. Can anyone advise me where I can find the name of each div element?
    Thanks a lot.

    Firefox for Android UI is written in Java not XUL so stylish will not change the UI colors. We provide limited support for light weight themes. Depending on what you are attempting to accomplish it may be doable that way. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/docs/themes

  • Crystal Reports XI and Sun One 6.1 web server SP 5 Error finding JNDI name

    I am trying to create a Crystal Reports XI report in a JSP using Sun One 6.1 Web server sp 5.
    At this point I am getting the error Error finding JNDI name on Sun One
    The application will run on Netbeans/Tomcat
    I have done the following:
    I edited CRConfig.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <CrystalReportEngine-configuration>

    <DataDriverCommon>
         <JavaDir>C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_10\bin</JavaDir>
