I rented 2 movies and left them downloading. I've paid for them and now I can't find them in itunes. Where are they ...? Any suggestions - please!

Not under videos app.  Gone.  All I have is the receipts.

Where can I find the movie I rented?I already rented but I cant watch it

If you rented and downloaded it on your computer's iTunes then it should be in the Movies part of your library - is there a Rentals tab in Movies ?
If on an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch then it should be in the Videos app. If you can't find it in there, nor via the device's spotlight search screen, then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

  • HT204370 where can I find the movies I rented and downloaded last night

i downloaded 2 movies to watch on flight, downloaded to computer.  Now have iPad with me.  I don't see the movies in library/anywhere in iTunes/cloud so tried to re-download, received message that I had already rented.  where can I find the movies?

If you rented and downloaded them on your computer's iTunes then did you then connect the iPad to your computer and move them over to it ? If you did then they should be in the Videos app.
Rentals are a one-time only download so they won't appear in the cloud for re-downloading.

I found my answer in another Thread and it worked... so for anyone who needs it, here it is:

Had the same problem and spoke with Apple Support. They had me reset the System Management Controller:
Shut down the computer. With the computer off, on the left hand side of the keyboard press shift+control+option along with the power button simultaneously and release. Wait 5-10 seconds and restart the computer.
This solved my problem and I was immediately able to purchase, download, and play an HD movie from iTunes w/o any error message.

Not all content types are available in all countries - in each country Apple can only sell what they are licensed to (and in some cases what a country's laws allows them to). A list of what is available where is shown on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3599
Do you have access to other music and film purchase download sites ?

  • I want to download a previous movie purchased but when I go onto the tab to download, all I see are songs, tv, etc.  Where do I find the movies I bought?

I want to download a previous movie purchased but when I go to the tab, I see tv, music, etc.  Where do I find my movies that I bought?

    You don't.
You buy one and only one download of movies. It is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
    Sorry.

  • Just paid to rent movie, after I DL I closed the window to view it later, where can I find the movie to watch it?

I rented the movie, waited for it to download. The downloading window was open/showing the whole time. I closed it thinking I could find the dowloaded movie later to view and now I can no longer find it. Where did it go?

there was no rentals subcategory. Can I search my hard drive? Look through my whole computer?

  • Can't find the movie I rented in itunes from MacBook...rediculous

Ok I give up after searching for over 2 hours now for a movie I rented from itunes.  I used my MacBook Pro but after the movie downloaded I turned the MacBook off because I wanted to watch it later.  Now for the life of me I can not find that damm movie.  Can someone help me out?  I searched the internet but all I found where frustrated posts from people with the same problem.  This is rediculous.  It shouldn't be this difficult.

If you have downloaded it directly to your iPad then open the Videos app and go to the Rentals tab.

  • Where do I find the movie with which the FCE tutorial wants you to work?

I'm trying to work with the Final Cut Express HD tutorial and it wants you to open a movie called 'wind_sk" (that's all you can see on the screen). The movie is not on the tutorial disk and it's not part of the FCE installation.
So where can I find it? The tutorial makes more sense if you can follow it closely and without this movie, I'm lost.
    Thanks for your help.

It's not a bad tutorial but it covers a lot of ground in 3 complex apps very quickly.
I would advise you to forget the fancy stuff to begin with and concentrate on capturing your video, cutting out the unnecessary bits of each clip using In and Out points in the Viewer (I never thought I would see myself writing that last statement!), putting it into the Timeline and adding the odd transition or effect just to get the hang of them.
You could play the tutorial and stop to make notes - possibly easier than playing it and trying to actually follow it in FCE.

  • We're do I find the movie I rented if it's not on my downloads

I downloaded a movie for rent and I can't find it anywhere and it says it's downloaded. We're do I go?

If you've downloaded it directly on the iPad then it should be in the Videos app (iTunes on the iPad is just the iTunes store) :

  • Where do I find the movie I downloaded on my computer?

I can see I paid for it but I can't find it in my purchases.  Where do I find it so I can watch it?  TY

    Hello abby221
It should be in the Videos section of your iTunes Library. If you navigate to it by clicking the Library pop-up menu near the top left of your screen by the Play button and selecting Videos. You should see all the videos that are in your library. If you do not see it and you know that you have downloaded it, then look for the file in Finder. You can do that by opening Finder and then navigating to your home folder and then go to Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Movies, it will then show all items that are download to your iTunes library and where they physically sit. All you have to do after that is to drag the file on top of iTunes and it will start playing the movie for you. Also not that you will not have to do that again as the file should be in your iTunes library from now on.
