Can anyone point me in the right direction? I need to trash the preferences because of a glitch I'm having in FCP!

While we are on the topic... has anyone else had any problems with the ever-so-helpful Holck app not getting 'em all? I was working on a director's machine and we had a problem that I KNEW would be solved by trashing prefs. I used FCP rescue and it did not solve the issue so I went in manually and deleted them. Then BINGO! no problemo... any one else?

You won't find them until you are in Windows.
Helps to read even print the guide.
If you have auto run enabled, which is a security risk, the Apple setup.exe will run.
Otherwise, just run that.
Either use your OS X DVD, or use the drivers downloaded by Boot Camp Assistant.
Two different ways to get them.

Where do I find the preferenes.plist file for mouse in Mavericks?
I like to trash it because I have to click my mouse pointer sometimes 3 to 4 times before the pointer gives my any reaction.

You may have
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.driver.AppleHIDMouse.plist
and
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse.plist
but other settings are in
~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist
and
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost.GlobalPreferences.-your ethernet id-.plist
If you restart or logout right after trashing the files, you'll normally avoid the caching. You can also use 'defaults delete' on the files in Terminal, or use Activity Monitor or Terminal to quit (or killall) cfprefsd
Test in a Guest or new user account first, to confirm that it's a per-user problem.

Where can I find the Preferences for the Most Visited bookmarks folder on my Bookmarks Toolbar? I want to add more.

In the past, I was able to add up to 15 bookmarks, but when I downloaded Firefox for my new laptop in January, and moved my files from my old computer, this folder only shows 10, and I can't find where to change it.

I tried that, but it should be a folder in the toolbar (not a bookmark) that opens with a list of the top visited sites. Currently, it reverted back to 10 from 15 on my old computer after I downloaded Firefox to my new laptop in January and moved my files from my old computer to my laptop.
When I created a new bookmark as you suggested, it opened up a window (not a list in a folder), and I got this message: Firefox can't find the file at place:redirectsMode=2&sort=8&maxResults=20. However, I'm not looking for a window to open. I already have a "Most Visited" folder with the 10 most-visited sites. I just want to increase the number of sites on the list in that folder.

In ACS 4.x you can not check the contract and serial nunber through GUI or CLI. You need to check that internally.
In ACS 5.x you can atleast check the serial number via CLI

You need to make sure your swatches are all CMYK and not RGB
Go to Window>Swatches
From here you can see that some swatches are CMYK some are RGB and some are Spot colours (spots print on separate plates for accurate colour reproduction where a prepared ink is used rather than a combination of CMYK)
To change the RGB swatch you will need to Edit the swatch and change it from RGB to CMYK
Then when you export the PDF you will need to make the images in the document into CMYK, but you want to preserve your swatches so they aren't converted to CMYK, becuase the last thing you want is for text to be converted to CMYK where black is made into parts of CMY too.
So when exporting your pdf you will need to go to the Output section of the Export to PDF dialog box. From here you have Color Conversion and Destionation.
Choose Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers) <preserve numbers preserves the swatches you have made in your document>
From destination you have many choices. I use Coated Fogra 39, but there are many settings. It would be best to contact your printer to find out what profile to use.
The one's that have Web are for Web Presses (like they use for newspapers). Web presses are generally used for extremely large quantites.
The sheetfed is for normal litho printing where sheets are stacked and fed into the printer.
Euroscale is for Euroscale inks, which are rare these days, as far as I know it was replaced by ISO standard of Fogra.
The coated and uncoated after each name refers to the stock of paper. If it's bond paper it's uncoated, if it's silk it's coated. Your printers can let you know if the paper is coated or uncoated.

If you rented and downloaded them on your computer's iTunes then did you then connect the iPad to your computer and move them over to it ? If you did then they should be in the Videos app.
Rentals are a one-time only download so they won't appear in the cloud for re-downloading.

Your question is unclear. If you're backing up to your iMac, (via iTunes, with cable or WiFi), this has nothing to do with iCloud and the backup is stored on your iMac here:
: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Using iPhoto as the email client in iPhoto does not creatge a sent copy. iPhoto indicates in the Info drawer if a photo was emailed by iPhoto (under the Sharing section):
There's no easy way to search for photos that have been emailed. Each photo has to be inspected via the Info tray.
One could add a keyword to emailed photos which would let a smart album keep track of those photos.
A better solution, IMO, is to set Mail as the email client (in iPhoto's General preference pane) and use it. That will give you an sent copy, better access to your contacts and, if you want a theme, numerous photo themes under the Stationary section of Mail.
