Where do I find user properties for network printers so that I can use a network printer

Wanting to connect to a PC networked Xerox 4595 workcenter ... the print job spools, but I need to add my user to those with permission to use that printer. How do I access this information on a MacBook Pro? (Printer properties don't include this information)

Are you connecting to a printer shared from the server, shared by a PC or directly to the printer via the network itself.

1) If you have OD set up and "editor" has UID 1111, then when they log in to any machine that's bound to OD as editor, they will get UID 1111. Therefore, there won't be any of these permission errors. This is typically the recommended approach.
2) I assume you mean "You'd prefer to not using open directory?" Whatever the case, OD isn't mandatory with Xsan -- it's just that with multiple user accounts, managing them centrally tends to be easier. For 3 or 4 accounts and 3 or 4 machines maybe it's no big deal. If you go larger, it could get a lot more complicated. That said, if you set it up such that each machine has the exact same set of users (as you said, Mary = UID 502, Fred = UID 503, William = UID 504), then you can do what you want. Mary can log in from multiple machines at the same time, and in general you won't have permissions problems. Of course, if you try and read and write the same file from multiple workstations at the same time, you will get file locking issues, which will prohibit somebody from successfully writing the file.
File locking issues are different from general permissions errors. The former basically says "hey, someone else is editing this file. Therefore I won't let you edit it right now... you can read it if you want though." Permissions means somebody saves it, and Xsan thinks you saved it and own the file, when you really don't.

Ive just bought an iPod touch for my son who's 8.. Id assumed I could just link it to my Apple Id to download apps n music, but staff in the store said that he'd need a unique Id if he's going to FaceTime with me (one of the reasons I chose it). The worker said something about a 'family' option either in the cloud or the store - annoyingly I can't remember and I just can't work out what she meant.

User exits are built into the Standard SAP code. You just activate them and insert your code into the include programs.
Here is a program that will list the user exits per transaction code. Not perfect, but it may help.

SMOD, is where you can find the system modifications provided by SAP. CMOD is where you will implement them. If you are looking for all the enhancements provided, then go to CMOD, follow the menu, 'Utilities-->SAP Enhancements'. This will take you to a screen where if you just execute it, you will get all the enhancements provided by SAP.
It is always difficult to find a user exit if all you have is a program name or a transaction code, unless you do a program like Rich suggested. But even there, you will not be able to find user exits that are implemented as sub-routines(also called forms not sapscript forms). Most of the user exits are documented under the corresponding task under IMG structure. So use transaction code SPRO, go to the IMG structure, choose the application area that your program or transaction might be and then you should find a task that talks about enhancements. If you execute that task most often it will take you to CMOD and sometimes to SE38. But all you want to know is there in the documentation attached to the task. Then you can go to CMOD and see which components are there.

There is no download aside from the one in the Mac App Store available to people running Mac OS X 10.6.6 and newer. The other way of getting iPhoto 9 is to purchase iLife 11 on DVD. As iLife 11 requires Mac OS X 10.6.3 or newer, it's usually best to update to 10.6.8 for free and then use the Mac App Store version.
