  • Any advanced video tutorials for garageband?

    I'm suprised I didn't find this topic in this forum but does anyone know where we can find some garageband tutorials that explain beyond the apple sites basics? Like proper mixing, recording, editing techniques. How to install stuff to use on garageband, perhaps even a video on setting up your mixer properly to get it to work properly with garageband.
    Anything along those lines would be so helpful.
    Thanks.

    I think the problem here is the people that may have used Video tutorials don't need to be here asking questions. And then there are some of us here just to help answer questions. And then people that are looking for a quick answer.
    I think your best bet is Google. But if you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask. Good answers almost no waiting.

  • Where do I find the manual for garageband 10.0.2?

    How do I cut part of a song in gragaeband 10.0.2?

    There is currenty no Apple-released manual for GarageBand 10.0. But Edgar Rothermich has written a very good manual for GarageBand 10.0. It is available as iBook or printed book and can be bought at: http://DingDingMusic.com/Manuals/
    How do I cut part of a song in gragaeband 10.0.2?
    The same as in GarageBand '11:
    Select the region you want to cut in the track (the title of the region should change to a lighter color), move the playhead to the position where you want to cut the region, and then press ⌘T for "Edit > Split region at playhead".

  • Where can I find more instruments for garageband?

    I already have main stage. I want more dance sounds. Orchestra hits, synths, drums

    One way is to buy MainStage 3. It will install the JamPack instruments in the system Library, where they can be used by  GarageBand and Logic as well.

  • Where do we find best tutorials for JNI

    hi every one
    i am new to JNI and i want to know where do we can get best examples on JNI.

    See this links:
    http://www.servertec.com/products/jenie/docs/stec/jenie/Dll.html
    http://www.servertec.com/products/jenie/docs/stec/jenie/Function.html
    Here are 2 sample codes:
    1. have a c DLL (MyDll) stdcall fnc as follows.
    stdcall int MyFnc(int FileNo, int IOType, unsigned char * DataToWrite, unsig
    ned char * DataRead);
    class X {
    private native int MyFunc(int fileNo, int IOType, byte[] DataToWrite, byte[]
    DataRead);
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    X p = new X();
    byte[] c= new byte[512];
    byte[] c2= new byte[512];
    int result = p.MyFunc(1,0,c,c2);
    System.out.println(result);
    static {
    System.loadLibrary("MyDll");
    2. public class DLLBridge
    public DLLBridge() {
    public native void RprtMain();
    static{
    System.loadLibrary("Reports");
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    DLLBridge dbridge = new DLLBridge();
    dbridge.RprtMain();
    That is the signature of the C function that you need to write in order to
    implement the RprtMain() method that you declared as "native" in your Java DLLBridge class. Assuming you have an existing function in a DLL that you are trying to call, you will typically just write this function to call the other function. If the other function has parameters, you will
    typically use JNI functions to get the parameter values and massage them into the form required by that existing function, and do the reverse with the function result.
    Of course, there is no requirement that your native method call
    pre-written C functions. You can implement your native method any way you want to.
    I have not tested the code, just wrote down. Hope this will help you.

  • Xmas is Coming! Would You Like 50 FREE Video Tutorials for FCE/FCP?

    Ripple Training produce some excellent tutorials on CD.
    However, they also give away over 50 video tutorials for FCE/FCP.
    Many of them are for FCP BUT (most) also apply to FCE.
    They deal with each topic in a short and punchy style. I found them easy to follow and learned some useful quick tips.
    They are QT movies which can be downloaded so that you can use them whenever you want. (Allow about an hour to download them all - you have to do them one at a time). I found it quicker to download all of them (except for a few dealing with multi-camera work etc.) rather than viewing them on the website to sort them out.
    http://www.rippletraining.com/engine/free_tutorials.html
    Hope you find them as useful as I did.
    Ian.

    Just a couple of additional points for newcomers:-
    1. The estimation of an hour (or so) to download them all refers to Broadband (ADSL). Normal "Snailmail" internet will take around 10 hours!
    2. To download each lesson choose File>Save Page As. A window will appear saying it will be saved as a QuickTime Movie on the Desktop. Click Save.

  • DVD video tutorials for Logic?

    I'm posting this for a small established publisher of video tutorials for Logic Pro.  They have produced courses for Logic 7, 8, and 9 in both DVD and digital download formats as well as Mac App Store apps for LP9.  However now that LPX is available only from the Mac App Store, is it worth creating a DVD format version?  Would anybody still be interested in a DVD?

    Hi Kilmar. Don't know about the apple site, but as others have replied macprovideo.com have an excellent range. There are free downloadedable examples and some to watch on their site. The tutorials that come with V8 are only song files; not actual tutorials. I was looking for them too! There are also a couple of books from Apple pro training. Logic Pro 8 and Logic express 8 by David Nahmani. Also Logic Pro 8 Beyond the basics by David Dvorin. Both come with a DVD with 30 day version of expres and work files to go with the various topics described. I've got the Version 7 books and they are excellent. Version 8 won't be published until end of OCt and 1st week Nov in the US. In Australia, where I live, not until Feb 2008. {boring!] but they are available from US publishers. Let me know if you want more info. Hope this helps. Scorpii.

  • Video tutorials for beginners

    I work at a technical school and have created some video tutorials for beginning After Effects users.  The effects shown are not difficult, "how'd he do that?" effects, but are common effects seen on television.  I chose this approach so that our students' portfolios would be more practical and marketable.  Thought I would share these.  Click the link below.  On the main page click the Broadcast button, then scroll to the bottom of that page.
