Where do I get a 64-bit version of Firefox 5?

A better question might be - is my version of FF5 64-bit? How do I tell? There was a reference is one post that there was a 64 bit version of Ff4?
If there currently is no 64-bit version, when will it be available?

  • I require a 32 bit version of Firefox to process a single instruction in Share Point. Where can I get the 32 bit version of Firefox at any level?

I am trying to utilize a function in SharePoint to permit me to open a library in Explorer mode. The function is available on the Share Point page and when I select the function my IE browser stops working. Unfortunately IE at it's current setup on my system is required for most internal applications. Chrome will not enable most of the functions in the Share Point site so that browser is unusable for my purposes. Upon research the current potential resolution to my problem is to run a 32 bit browser to enable my function. Due to the above mentioned limitations I require a 32 bit version of Firefox but the download only provides a 64 bit version because my system is 64 bit. How can I get a 32 bit version of Firefox?

For what OS as Firefox for Windows from [https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ www.mozilla.org] is only Win32 and will work on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. Firefox for Mac OSX is a combined 32/64 and There are separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions for Linux.
Where are you downloading Firefox to think it is a 64-bit version?
The WOW64 in a browser useragent on Windows means it is a 32-bit application running of 64-bit Windows.

How do i get the 64 bit version of iTunes?

If you go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ the website detects the type of computer you are connecting from and automatically shows you what it believe is the correct choice, so a Mac sees initially the Mac download, and a PC running 64-bit Windows will see the choice set to iTunes for Windows 64-bit and so on.
However for your benefit here is the direct download for the 64-bit version

The reason is there is a bug in Tabmix plus that the developer isn't going to release until January. However, you can use the Beta version, which will work with Firefox 17 until the dev releases a full update. [http://tmp.garyr.net/tab_mix_plus-dev-build.xpi http://tmp.garyr.net/tab_mix_plus-dev-build.xpi]. this is a much better solution than downgrading

  • I need to download Adobe Macromedia Flash and Adobe won't let me download it until i get a 32 bit version of Firefox. Where on the website can I find this version?

I'm using Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.6 as a browser. I need to dowload some Adobe software like Flash and i can't do it because this version of firefox is a 64 bit app. I need a 32 bit FF app/where on the website can i dowload this?
    Thanks

You already have Shockwave Flash 10.2 r152 installed for Firefox on the PC you used to post here, see your ''More system details...'' next to your posting.
There are no 64-bit builds of Firefox made, only 32-bit currently. There are some 3rd party builds floating around out there, but Mozilla doesn't allow them to be named Firefox - they would be called Namoroka for 3.6 versions. Mozilla does have a Minefield 64-bit build for 4.0-pre versions, but it won't be available as Firefox until probably Firefox 5 is released.
If your situation is with a different PC than what you used to post here: <br />
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
    [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
    2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
    {XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
    3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
    * On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />

  • Where can I get the 64-bit version of AMSCheck

    Hello,
I'm using the Linux version of AMS 6.0.3 on a 64-bit machine. I'd like to use the AMSCheck tool but noticed
that unlike FLVCheck, the AMSCheck tool was delivered as a 32-bit executable (even thought I downloaded the
    64-bit version of AMS):
    /opt/adobe/ams/tools# file flvcheck
flvcheck: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, stripped
    /opt/adobe/ams/tools# file amscheck
amscheck: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, stripped
    This looks like an oversight.
Is there anywhere that I can obtain the 64-bit Linux version of AMSCheck?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Phil,
You have to install library packages in order to run 32 bit application on 64 bit OS, please check How to run 32 bit app on 64 bit OS link.
Let me know how it goes for you.

  • Can you email a link to me, where I can download the 64-bit version of firefox for my windows 7 64 bit laptop?

    hello
I have windows 7 home premium 64-bit operating system.
i would like to download and install firefox 64-bit version.
can you email me a link where I can download the 64 bit firefox?

Link to 64 bit of Nightly http://nightly.mozilla.org/
edit: Fixed linked it was linking to the tinderbox hourly builds (multiple builds a day) which can be much more unstable if the build did not build properly (due to checkins and trying stuff) and yet may still be green and uploaded. Use the /firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ not tinderbox if you must.
Also note the unstable Nightly builds get updates each day (sometimes a respin even) and are not meant for regular Firefox users in mind but devs and testers who at very least understand the basics of separate installs and separate Profiles for each.

  • Where can i get the most recent version of firefox?

Sorry that this isn't posted in the correct category but i was unable to find a category that suited my question:
Hi, i was just wondering what the most recent version of firefox is? How can i get it? What are the download and use requirements? And what are the advantages of using the newest version instead of the old ones?
Again, sorry for putting this in the wrong category, cheers.

You are on the current version of Firefox which is 6.0.2, you can verify
    * Help ("Alt+H") > About, this is also where you can check for Firefox update
    * Tools ("Alt+T") > Troubleshooting Information... > look for version<br>(or use '''about:support''' from Location Bar)
Where to get the latest version is at
    * http://www.mozilla.com green button to download if not up to date
    * http://www.mozilla.org green button to download does not check if you are up to date.
''Your "More system details..." in the right-hand column tells us you are at Firefox 6.0.2''

  • Where can I find stable 64 bit versions of Firefox to download?

The only link I could find for 64 bit was nightly but I don't want that. There is no 64 bit installer on the official page, no 64 bit under betas, and the FTP doesn't even contain any under firefox/releases. Do they even exist or are they only for future releases?
PS - I don't really know where to ask this since there isn't a proper category that I could find for website questions.

The 32-bit builds will work and are actually faster compared to same 64-bit build currently.
The 64-bit Nightly on Windows are are mainly for to test for breakage as it is possible to break the 32-bit win builds without breaking 64-bit win and same goes other way. In the early days long before Firefox 4.0 it was just Linux that got 64-bit builds and they were mainly for breakage.
The 64-bit win builds are still Tier 2 builds which mean if something breaks or a server for it goes down, it does not have the priority to get working right away like the regular Firefox builds which are Tier 1. https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Supported_build_configurations
It looks like the earliest release to have 64-bit on Windows will be Firefox 12.

  • When are we going to get a 64-bit version of Acrobat ? ? ?

I started bookmarking a PDF of an old book from 1916, and I was unable to finish due to out-of-memory errors.
Near the end, I was closing the PDF and re-opening it after each new bookmark.  I finally reached a point
where I couldn’t add any more bookmarks.
That’s not all!  When I later opened the document and selected a page to begin reading,
I found that after that first page, I got an out-of-memory error whenever I tried
    to move to another page.
Fortunately, I have an unbookmarked backup copy of the document.
I have plenty of RAM on my computer, but the current version of Acrobat is a 32-bit program,
which I understand can access no more than 2 GB.
When are we going to get a 64-bit version of Acrobat that can handle book-size PDFs without
    running out of memory?

Thanks for getting back to me Dave!
The file is about 91 MB in size, with just under 400 scanned pages.
I’ve also encountered the problem when I’ve tried to OCR one of these old books.  I’ve had to do it 50-100 pages at a time, closing and re-opening the file each time.
Based on my online search for a solution, I had concluded that the 2 GB limit for 32-bit programs was the most likely source of the problem.  But I’m wondering now if Acrobat could use 2 GB  in processing a 91 MB file.

  • Can I please get an email, when you guys finally release a 64-bit version of Firefox?

Here's what I posted on the Firefox Developer site, after spending enough time there to get a sense of what they're doing, and why they have totally failed to issue a 64-bit version of Firefox.
So, my question is: where can I register an email address, to make sure I get notified when Firefox issues a 64-bit version?
I think I'm starting to see why the "developer community" for Firefox has failed to grasp the NEED to issue a 64-bit version. It clearly has become a very cozy and comfortable group of insiders, who can all feel comfortable with the tech-nerd level of the group, and don't want to be bothered by us outsiders who don't belong to developer groups.
Meanwhile, the fact that Java compatibility, across different 32-versus-64 bit browsers, is causing us outsiders lots of problems, is driving outsiders like me to say, "To hell with those nerds. If they can't find some way to issue a modern version of Firefox, I'm deleting it, and going to Chrome, instead, as my main alternative to IE".
You guys provided a real nice bridge, over the past few years, which really did help force Microsoft make IE a whole lot better.
But, you got just too incestuous, and inbred, and you failed to see what was going on outside your little club.
Please send me an email, if you ever issue a 64-bit Firefox. I like Firefox a lot, and would love to use it again, some day.

Let me also copy and repeat -- since the developers' club apparently has chosen to not give it any weight or credibility -- a comment by a completely different user, in a different thread:
"I am using the 64-bit nightly, and it is FAR faster than any release in 32-bit, and I have 2GB of ram. Usually the addon compatibility thing takes minutes, when with the nightly 64-bit, I was done in a matter of seconds. also, I notice that it is faster, pages load faster, there is less lag, and it all around seems better than 32-bit in every aspect, even though it is just automatically compiled and not tweaked."
So, the developer's club position remains, "there really isn't much need for a 64-bit version", despite comments like that. Hmmm . . .
Are you SURE you want to stand directly behind that answer, while people shoot at it?

  • I have downloaded Elements 13 but it is the 32 bit version. How do I get the 64 bit version

When downloading Elements 13, how do I get the option to choose between the 32 and 64 bit versions? I am automatically getting the 32 bit version which is no good for my operating system.

Afraid that doesn't help. I have successfully gone through the installation process, however it automatically installs the 32 bits version. My operating system is 64 bits and I get the message to download the 64 bit version, but when I try to reinstall I cannot see any page that gives me an option for which version to download.

  • Where do I find a 32-bit version of FF for XP?

When I try to download Firefox 6, it tells me that setup exe etc is not a valid win32 (?application).
I can't find anywhere to select a 32-bit version of firefox; it just keeps sending the 64-bit automatically.
Assuming that I'm right about the nature of the problem.

Mozilla hasn't yet released a 64-bit version of Firefox for Windows, they're all 32-bit.
Namoroka is a pre-release version used for testing new features and security fixes, and was available in 32-bit and 64-bit variants for all OS's. Currently only the Nightly version is available in a 64-bit versions for Windows - currently Nightly 10.a1.
You can get the latest release version here. For Windows it is a 32-bit application. <br />

  • Where can i download official 64 bit version even if it is beta etc

Where can i download official 64 bit version even if it is beta etc
    I am using win 8.1 64 bit
and i can say that every application i develop as 64 bit on c# works better on this os
so i want to try out 64 bit firefox as well

The earliest Mozilla will have a Win64 version of Firefox is Firefox 37.0 in first phase. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/win64
You can technically build Win64 Firefox now or use the so call third-party builds but that does not mean they are stable though it may seem like it.
