Where do I get version 3.4

I have to admit that I do feel rather stupid right now, but I knew that I used favorites in Adobe (Community) Help before, and this was one thing that made the Adobe help system somewhat bearable. But I had to upgrade to a new computer (hardware problems) and now I cannot find this feature any more. I managed to start my old computer and started help there and much to my astonishment I saw that I have/had 3.4.0973 installed there.
I tried everything (Checking for updates manually, deinstalling and reinstalling, googled and searched forums and blogs searched adobe labs etc.) but I cannot find a way to update.
There are even Instructions on how to use 3.4 in adobe blogs
http://blogs.adobe.com/tcs/2011/01/history-favorites-and-one-click-bookmarking-in-the-adob e-community-help-client.html
but I'm stuck with 3.3 as others are. Still I cannot recall how I came into possession of 3.4 on my old machine.
Please someone help I really need at least a somewhat better help-system. (It still was slow under 3.4 and not organized to my liking and the contents could really be more inspired.... But every little bit helps.)

Hi:  I sincerely apologize for the lack of communication on this.  Here's the short story:  version 3.5 will be released very, very soon -- possibly as early as next week.  This update will be an auto-update and will feature a number of enhancements and performance improvements.
Here's the long story:  we released version 3.4 in December but had to pull the release after 24 hours due to server-side architectural issues. In 3.4, we attempted improve performance by consolidating a number of disparate webservice calls into a single call at start-up. However, we soon ran into a serious issue with the webservice that required that we provision a new server cluster and rework various parts of the server-side services. Note: 3.4 itself was not an issue however, various webservices like commenting, rating, and related links were not available. So ... after much back-n-forth with our IT dept. and *extensive* testing, we are now very close to re-releasing the udpate.  However, the team felt strongly that, given the amount of time that has lapsed, that we should try to deliver more value by including additional enhancements and feature requests. The biggest change in 3.5 is that we have removed the "Local Content update" dialog box -- we have moved the notification to the footer and the home screen and will download the content as a background process.  We got numerous complaints from users that the current workflow was too disruptive and that we should simply 'get out of the way and let users get to the content as quickly as possible.'  We have implemented similar improvements to the application update process itself (i.e. no more annoying/confusing dialog boxes) so future udpates to the app itself will be as unobtrusive as possible.  There are number of other enhancements on the way as well...
As I said, we are very very close to release - and I *sincerely* apologize for the lack of communication/status on 3.4.  I will post an announcement here as soon as  3.5 is released along with complete release notes and details on all of the fixes, enhancements, etc.
Sincerely,
Mark Nichoson

Adobe makes a variety of different applications so which one do you mean.  Just about anything that is version 6 is likely to not going to be available anymore but if you can clarify which one you need a more definitive answer can be offered.

  • Discover Desktop - Where can I get version 10.1.2

Afternoon everyone, from this thread you may realise that I am pretty new to Discoverer in so much that I CAN'T EVEN DOWNLOAD the software. Whenever I go to download it, I only get the option to download JDeveloper 10g, and so I duly do this.
Then, when I go to JDeveloper, I can't find Discoverer Desktop.
I have done this 3 times now and I am frustrated to say the least.
    Please help me.

Another path is going via Downloads index / Developer Tools / Developer Suit 10g. On that downloads page you will find Dev Suite 10g 10.1.2.0.2 -- Oracle Business Intelligence Tools 10g (10.1.2.0.2)
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ids/index.html
A link to Oracle BI Tools directly from Developer Tools section does not seem such a bad idea....
Also, check that download because I downloaded it a few times but it was broken every time (could not unzip it properly), so I got it from the edelivery site instead.

Not possible. You need to update to v10.6.8

    Then restart your Mac.

  • HT1947 Remote app requirements are stated as "software version 3.1.3 or later". I am running 4.2.1 and when I try to download it says 4.3 required. Where can I get the (old) version that runs on my IOS?

'Remote' app requirements are stated as "software version 3.1.3 or later". I am running 4.2.1 and when I try to download it says 4.3 required.
OK, I understand that new versions make use of facilities that come with new versions of IOS, but there is/was a version that runs on 3.1.3 and therefore, I assume 4.2.1. Where can I get the (old) version that runs on my IOS?
The app store seems to ignore all legacy equipment owners, and want me to spend loadsa money to get the latest shiny toy. It probably makes business sense, but I dislike companies that take that approach. This is my first venture into smart phones, and I like the IOS interface, but I'm not sure I can afford the maintenance.

This is standard for Apple.  While there is little official mention of the software support lifespan for equipment, typical support has been about 4-5 years for computers.  It strikes me that newer items, especially mobile devices, are not built as sturdily nor do they have the hardware upgrade capabilities required to keep up with newer systems.  When we bought an iPhone 4S we were told by the person in the store we'd probably be looking at a newer model in two years.  The iPhone 3G could be anywhere from 2 to 4 years old, putting it well into.
As for app availability, Apple typically pulls old software versions from its site when new versions appear.  If it is a non-Apple app then I guess it is up to the vendor. It is indeed tiresome but it is not at all unusual.  Since I only ever run used Macs, I download current versions even though my computer won't run them, stick them on a hard drive, then I have them when I upgrade to a newer used computer.  If you run older equipment you have to learn a different mode of operation to exist with the Apple 'new and innovative' but 'forget about the old' philosophy.

  • Solaris 8 on a v440 where do I get drivers for older solaris version?

I have a db cluster of v880s on Solaris 8. I need to temporarily move the database to a v440. I created a flash archive on the v880s and, of course, it didn't work after installing (got tod error and couldn't boot). I know this is because it is too old a version of Solaris. My question is, can I apply the new drivers to the v880 and then create a new flar image? If so, where do I get the drivers? Also, is there any way to apply the drivers to a system that has been imaged already with a flar from a v880? Can I apply them as a post-install script under jumpstart? Can I somehow boot from cdrom and then apply them? Any information would be greatly appreciated. This is a fairly urgent matter as we have a firm date with movers that can't be changed.

Hmm, the V440 is a quite old box as well, so it should work with Solaris 8 7/03 or older.
There are three alternatives as far as i can see:
1: What version of Solaris 8 are you using? If you are using 7/03 or later it should be sufficent if you booted the V440 into singleuser mode (from cd/dvd or network) mounted the disk and ran devfsadm -R on it.
2: If the Solaris 8 would be older than 7/03, you should, as far as i can see, be able to install the flar archives from your jumpstart, and then boot of a Solaris 8 7/03 (or later) cd and run an upgrade from it.
3: Apply the following patches, either to your 880 before you create the image, or to your V440 after installing the flar (you would have to apply the patches from single-user as mentioned inn step 1, it should be possible to add the patches from a jumpstart image using the patchadd -R command).

Try a new profile with only that extension installed.

  • Where can I get an older version of Mainstage?

I am a worship leader and would like to use Mainstage to run loops and backing tracks during a live setting. My MacBook is a 2006 A1811 with a core 2 duo processor, running 10.6.8 . It can not download Mainstage 3, where can I get an older version? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Older versions of MainStage are no longer available for sale. The _only_ way might be buying a used Logic Studio 2 box which contains MainStage 2.1.3. Quite a pricy endevour for an almost 3 year old application.
