I will likely move to Leopard this weekend; and next weekend move from Eudora 6.2 to Mail in Leopard (10.5.6).
A question on sending: I really like to "QUEUE" my messages in Eudora, then send, say 5-10 all at once. Is that possible with Mail?
Also, I like having the IN-BOX (messages rec'd), the OUT-BOX (i.e. messages sent) and a bunch of messages all on the screen at one time-- even the address book -- and then just clicking a corner or going to WINDOW to select. Is that possible with Mail - or do the screens all replace each other?
And I guess Address Book with Eudora (where I have about 800 addresses) is going to have to be imported to Mail - but I don't think it is Mail, rather the Apple "Address Book" program which serves as the address book for Mail - right?
I'm not looking forward to this, I must admit!

I want Firefox to give me the option to download a file with a .mm extension rather than opening it as if it were an xml file

I have created a web page that provides links to files with the .mm extension. These files are created by the Freemind application (http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page). When I click one of these links, Firefox opens the file as if it were a text (xml) file. I have looked at the Applications page in Preferences, but there is no obvious way to add a new application and then specify that Firefox should "Always ask" what I want to do. Essentailly, how do I do that?

Have you looked checked in ''Tools > Options > Applications'' to see if you have told Firefox to always save the file? You should take a look at the [[Options window - Applications panel]] Knowledge Base article for details.
If you set Firefox to always ask and it doesn't, you may want to check out the [[Preferences are not saved]] article.

theoretically all I need to change would be

How to set the filename when downloading a file?

I'm working on mvc4. I have generated excel file dynamically using following simple code my hosting is on Azure
I have created a Root path and then try to save that excel file.
Problem is when my Action Result method response comes back it is giving default popup to open a file but file name is having a GUID instead my provided file name
What id wrong any clue?
Excel file generation code:

The Download File popup does not give file name as myexcelFILE.xls it gives some GUID why so?

How do I get a "Details" display--as the default--when downloading a file, in the "Enter name of file to save to..." dialog box?

When I receive an attachment to an email, and I click it and select "Download", I get the "Enter name of file to save to..." dialog box (because I already set the option to "Always ask me where to save files." But the file display always defaults to a "List". At least recently. I don't recall it always doing that. In any case, I want it to default to a "Details" display, in ascending order, as I can then find things sooo much faster that way. (I often use the "Date Modified" tab to bring to the top the most recent version of a file.) I know that I can go to the "View Menu" icon and select "Details", but each time I go into a sub folder while in this dialog box, I have to do that all over again and it wastes a lot of time and attention.
I did some internet searches but didn't find a way to fix this.

The dialog box you are describing is controlled by Windows, not Firefox, so unfortunately Firefox cannot change what you see by default.
I think your best bet would be to ask on the [http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp?auth=1 Windows support site].

How do i stop the "Opening Ads" download javascript file everytime i access a website which uses googledoubleclick ads??

Every time a access a website which has embedded googledoubleclick ads in it, i get this pop up-like thing which tells me to download a javascript file called "ads", from http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net and it asks me to save it... i would love to send a screenshot, but this question text area doesn't allow me...
therefore, i have uploaded the snapshot .jpeg file on my website so you can see it. This has been bothering me a lot, sometimes there are pages which have embedded 5 ads, and i get a pop up for each ad. Mind you, it's not the window popup that you get, it's a download popup...

Which is the link to download esd file in my language (Italian) for the 10041 build x64?

I need to download the iso or at least the esd file for the new build 10041 of Win 10 Pro TP x64, because I have to reinstall it on a VHD to double-boot on my machine. I know that this is a fast update so there is not yet an .iso to download.
Till now I tested Win 10 Pro TP on a Hyper-V VM included the last update to 10041 build, but I am having many limitations (audio drivers, webcam drivers, Cortana in Italian, etc.) so I decided to move to a booting VHD on my x64 machine.
I have the link to the us-en .esd link (from us magazines), but not to my Italian version needed to create the iso image, where can I get it?

Basically the link he provided is about the followings ...................
1. Download 9926 ISO selecting the desired language (which is Italian in your case ). Install build 9926. Install the necessary windows updates and wait for build 10041 via WU.
OR,
2. Wait for the release of build 10041 ISO ( which will come same time as the release in Slow ring ). Then, you can select the desired language and download the ISO for install.

The free benefit download .zip file did nothing when I opened Adobe.

The site instructions were to save the download file, open Adobe and follow the instructions.
When I opened Adobe, there were no instructions.

First, make sure you got the right password - it should be an 8 - or maybe 12 - digit code with only numbers, and no letters or dashes. If you have something with letters and/or dashes, that is not the code.
Once you have the code, go to the App Store, click on the "Featured" tab on top, and the "Redeem" link on the right side. Enter your code, and you'll be on your way.

Lion upgrade prohibits second i-Mac machine from downloading email and surfing the net???

I upgraded to Lion this evening, trusting that that all the updates would have resolved the wireless connection problem i had when upgrading to Lion 2 months back. No hope, both my I-Macs can see one another and i can share files across the two of them. My main Mac connects to the Internet by Wireless Modem; this modem is attached to my mac by Ethernet cable. My second Mac could connect to my main Mac and use the Internet connection to download email and surf the net.
Now i have upgraded to Lion on my main machine, but the same problem occurs, my second machine can connect with Wi-Fi to my main machine but cannot get access to the net or download, and this was working fine until i upgraded from Leopard to Lion.
I have created a new network, unpluged the modem, switched on again,tried everything i could find in the forums, but i still cannot connect to the net on my second machine.
Please help, unfortunately Apple support in Africa is not very helpfull.

So you're not using a wireless connection for your main Mac? Is that correct?
If I understand correctly, your main Mac is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, and your 'second' Mac is connected to your 'main' mac wirelessly. is that correct?
If so, why not connect the 2nd Mac wirelessly direct to your router?

How to get the functionality of downloading files from internet on my jsp

i have a jsp page that lists me the names of the zip files in a paricular directory on a remote computer over the network.wat i want to do is download those files.so when i click on them it gives me "page cannot be displayed" error.but when i go to that remote machine and run the same jsp to list me the files and download the same it allows me to download the files.but i want the same functionality over the network.so i think that that link is looking for that file locally instead of looking for them over the network.so is it so that i need to give the ip of the remote machine from where i want to download the file and if yes then how and if no then is there any way that i can do it some other way.
in short this functionality is like downloading some file from the net like downloading software or music....i want to incorporate the same on my jsp.please guide me.

I have a requirement where I have to upload the data from 2 flat files into 2 z tables(ZRB_HDR,ZRB_ITM).From the 1st flat file only data for few fields have to be uploaded into ztable(ZRB_HRD) .Fromthe 2nd flat file data for all the fields have to me uploaded into ztable(ZRB_ITM). How can I do this?

declare two internal table with structur of your tables.
your flat files should be .txt files.
now make use of GUI_UPLOAD function module to upload your flatfile into internal tables.

use this function twice for two tables.

How to remove the last blank line in the downloaded text file?

I am downloading the one internal table content using the GUI_DOWNLOAD to a text file(.txt). The cursor is in last position of the text file where there is no content. For example consider the below is downloaded txt file:
This is test file.
Downloaded from the internal table
using GUI_DOWNLOAD

In above the internal table content first three lines..
Once I press page down in the text file, the cursor goes below the third line..(i.e., next to the last line)
How to avoid that ?
