Where do I go on the verizon site to enable hotspot?
Hi! I have the nationwide talk and text share 700 plan with 2gb for data. I'd like to use mobile hotspot on my iphone5c but when I try to turn it on it says I should call verizon or click on a link that just takes me to the verizon home page. Not very helpful. I just want to know if I can enable it, and where if I can. I don't want to call because I don't know how much it is if you're not on the share everything plan and I don't want to hold up the lines-I also don't have the time to be in those lines. (That's how all customer service centers work-I'm not holding anything against verizon. It could be worse-have you ever dealt with AT&T? Or someone who just got off the phone with them? lol) Any way, thanks for reading and helping me out!
In your MyVerizon account online, change just your data plan from the 2 GB plan to the 4 GB plan with hotspot.

I purchased a program on Mac App store and the program does not act as it should, also was required to pay up front whereas had I went to the web site, ibank 4 I would have had 30 days free trial an would have found that the program does not work.?
Free trials are not available through the Mac App Store.

I am annoyed at how the Verizon site gets my hopes up
Ok so my wifes birthday is coming up in 2 weeks and I have heard her over and over how she wished she had a better phone and better camera. Now she has an old Iphone 4 and I have decided I would check and see if I could upgrade her phone. She is in contract still but she is available for the early edge upgrade. I check the box and hit next brings up the page with all the phones to choose from. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is the first phone on the list and shows full price as $799.99 and then shows the edge price of $33.33/mo. So I click on it and it is a very nice phone. I am like great. I choose the verizon edge option and then go though a few more screens with other options and then I get to the final verification page and I get an error message telling me that this phone is not available for the edge program and now wants to charge me full price. If it was not available to the EDGE Program why was I able to choose the this phone then. I am a lille annoyed but the error does say if I think I reached this error and do not think it is right to contact Verizon. So I open a chat Window and start my chat with a sales person. I tell her all this info here and after a couple minutes she comes back and tells me that this phone is not elidgable and only the Droid MAXX is available to the edge program. no where did I see that statement on the site as I was clicking though it. She said was only available to show you how the plan works not as an option to actually get. My question is this. IS it only or demonstration purposes and being able to choose this phone for the edge program upgrade is a mistake on the Verizon website or am I being lied to? I am very upset that I can choose all the options to get this phone for the edge program but at the end it say oops yeah we lied to you by the way...?
Dale1976, We certainly want to make sure your wife has a great new phone that she is happy with! That is incredibly important. Let's clarify and make sure we find the best option. Any phone we offer can be purchased on Edge. We don't make exceptions to that at this time. Early Edge is a little different though. With Early Edge because it is being allowed to start early there are limits to what phones are available. Those can change over time and won't always be the same but right now the Droid MAXX is available. When the line is eligible to upgrade you would be able to start Edge with any phone you like such as the Galaxy Note Edge. Is she eligible to upgrade at this time? If not you can keep an eye on the web site for new promotions which might allow for different phones. Go to Solution.Basically visit http://www.verizon.net/ and sign into your MyVerizon account. Once signed in, under the "Accounts & Services" section itself where you can see things like your bill overview, you'll find a link to register for Verizon Wi-Fi. Click on that and you should be given instructions on how to set it up, such as installing the program and how to use it. Someone a bit more filled in to how it works with the new site might help better than I will, since I do not have the Verizon Wi-Fi service offered to be due to my DSL package (ironically showing up as a FiOS package?)

I probably just missed something stupid but I could use some help please.Every financial institution (bank, credit union,...), every news outlet (print/TV/Radio/blog) reaches out to millions of elderdly folks and other non-geeks and tells them to run away as soon as they dont see a Key or Lock on a secured page (or maybe so-called secured page from what I get you are trying to push through).
This is a major Change Management disaster waiting to happen... Not just for Firefox but for every web site using secure transactions. Countless organisations are going to get calls from users telling them, "Your site is not secured, Oprah and CNN told me so".
Go for color scheme or other visual indicator to warn of security level, but absolutely dont lose the icon !

I have SharePoint 2013 enterprise using ADFS for authentication. I have an issue where the first time going to a site where you do not have access and clicking the back button you're returned to the root site instead of the site you
started from.
ie:
1) at site http://www.sharepoint.com/sites/finance/home.aspx
2) browse to
http://www.sharepoint.com/sites/finance/private/home.aspx
3) receive a message: you do not have access to this site ((oops went to the wrong location - I'll hit the back button))
4) click the browser back button
5) get returned to http://www.sharepoint.com/pages/home.aspx
This only happens the first time browsing to a site that I do not have rights to, after this I can browse to the same site and hit the browser back button and return to the correct site, or any other site that I do not have access to.
Any ideas as to why this happens? Ideas of where to start looking?

From your description, when you receive access denied message and hit back button in browser, it redirects you to the root site but not previous site. However, this just happens at the first time.
You may try to use some tool or check log which can tell us how does it handle the request when you hit the button. And compare the issue time and non-issue time.

Get the current context of the site where web-part is added in the same site collection
Hi,
I'm creating a visual web-part in SharePoint 2013 using server object model (can't user COM as the code will run on the same server) to get all the members of "Members" group of the site/web wherever this web-part
will be added (in the same site-collection), so it will take the context of the site wherever it is added.
For Eg: I have a site collection "http://<Server_name>/sites/Finance" OR "http://<Server_name>/sites/Finance/Microsoft" OR some other subsite. I have used SPContext.Current property to get the current context
, but no success :( .
I tried in SPSite: SPContext.Current.Site ; new SPSite(SPContext.Current.Web.URL) and many other combinations with SPSite.
in SPWeb : site.openweb()
But I'm always getting the URL as "http://<Server_name>/" and not the context where the web-part is added in the same site collection.

A cell tower was installed in 2013 on Ridge Road in Town of Broome, Schoharie CountyNY. It appears to be ready to operate. When will it be turned on? Where in the Verizon Co. can I find out about this. I now depend on an unreliable and expensive dish-satellite system for internet access and would like to be able to take advantage of my Verizon WiFi cell to connect. Who and how do I contact Verizon to find out? Many thanks.
Are you sure it isn't turned on? Are you sure it is even a Verizon tower? If it is a Verizon tower, it may not be turned on yet because it has not received approval from your local government. If it is awaiting approval, Verizon has no control about when approval will be granted.

I have a Samsung Convoy "dumb" phone, and I plan to keep it until Verizon forces me to some **** overpriced "smart" phone. Since they migrated Backup Assistant to "the Cloud", I am unable to print a hard copy list of contacts. The web site just runs you around in circles, never getting to the answer of how to print out contacts. I'm sure the marketing people and web creators just love this Frankenstein monster they have built, but for me and my phone, it's just a huge pain in the ***! Do they plan to fix this, or just let us dinosaurs go away and die?

In the address bar where type the address of the web site at the top. after entering the address i press enter key from the keyboard but it doesn't work there . Means the page is not navigating towards the address. Kindly solve the problem
This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Is it possible to set my IPhone 5S to automatically backup to the Verizon cloud or to backup assistant. The only settings I see is where it will remind me to do. Can it be set to automatically do this, like my Droid did.

In iweb I want my first(Home) page to have the Home link and an Enter site Link only. On the enter site page (second Home Page) is where all my links appear at the top. Can I do that?

iWeb can't import your published files back again. You have to rebuild them from scratch, although of course you can copy/paste whatever you want from your published pages.

Sharing an app does not give a copy of the app to anybody else, you will only be sharing an image of the app.
It's possible that the developers of those apps have temporarily (e.g. if there is a problem with them or they are putting an updated version in the store) or permanently removed them from the store. Any links that the developer's have on their website should take you to the store, that is the only place that you can download apps for iOS devices.
You could try contacting the developers and see if they are planning on putting their apps back in the store, until if/when they do then your friends won't be able to download them (and you won't be able to redownload them, so if you haven't already done so you may want to copy the app to your computer's iTunes library).
