i need a lot of help. I need to know where i can go to have my ipod 5th generation 30 gb repaired. It would be nice if it wouldn't cost too much. If it is unavoidable to pay, then thats fine with me then. The problem is that the LCD screen is cracked. It will be very helpful if u know one that is in B.C. but that doesnt really matter.
I will appreciate anyones help.

Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Some places also will sell parts and instructions for doing the repair yourself, but the connectors and parts are delicate and it's easy to cause further damage, so attempt this only if you are confident in your skills.

The ipod dock on my Ilive it188b stopped working and doesn't play or charge my compatible ipod which works on my other stereo. Everything else on the stereo works fine. I contacted the company and they would not sell me a replacement dock because of their agreement with Apple. How can I get an ipod replacement dock on my Ilive it188b or have it repaired? I have checked locally, and the electronics hospital reapair place will not work on it. Is my only option to try and sell it on craigslist or ebay?

The 4 Series are relatively easy to open and service, I've replaced batteries on two 4s. The 5 Series are a nightmare.

I've had a few that have developed poorly responsive buttons over the years - sometimes pressing very hard will still actuate that button, but as Winston says probably best to just buy a new one. Laurent's suggestion is also worth a shot if you are happy using another/spare handset.

You can't add storage to the iPod. Yo can go to Settings>General>Usage and see what is taking up a lot of storage so yoknw what to delete.
Also maybe:
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
