How do I submit an application for an Express Replacement Service with an Out of Warranty repair?

My iPhone has a cracked screen and a disloged homescreen button but has all of a sudden stopped working for longer than 10 minutes unless plugged into a power source. Concerning the express replacement service, i was wondering if i had to personally drop off my old iphone at a nearby apple store or can a freind do it for me?

since the nearest apple store is a couple hours drive, i was wondering if i had to personally drop off my iphone for the express replacement service or if a friend could do it for me in my place if they were in the area?

Express replacement is generally handled through the mail. They ship you a phone and a box and you send the old one back. However, you can also take the old phone to the Apple store and they can replace it in the store. That would be much easier and less expensive than the express service unless it is that much trouble for you to drive to the Apple store.

Is it possible to request Express Replacement Service (out of warranty) through the online support?

I fell in a river with my iPhone 4S in pocket and after trying the various tips for drying it out, etc, it will not turn back on at all and it is pretty clear it is kaput. I have determined my best option is to send it in to Apple for an out of warranty replacement, and I would really like to pay for the Express Replacement Service so I can get a new one ASAP (I live nowhere near an Apple Store, so that is not an option), but I do not see anywhere to request this through the online support method. Anyone know how one can request ERS online? I would just call in to request it, but I can't do that without a working phone.

If it has been less than 12 months, the "Deauthorize All" command will be grayed out. However, if you contact iTunes Customer Service, they can enable it for you.
Do not start a new account unless you really need it.
And yes, going forward, deauthorize a computer before doing any work on it. If the computer is working and accessible, you can authorize/deauthorize it as often as you wish.

Express Replacement Service question.

After ringing AppleCare regarding an issue I've been having with my iPhone 4S for the past week, I've booked an Express Replacement for my iPhone.
The problem I've been having is that my home button will sporadically stop working, "miss" clicks or register one click as two, and vice versa.
The issue is intermittent, and doesn't happen ALL of the time, but it becomes bothersome to the point that I know there's a problem that needs to be fixed.
What will happen if Apple can't replicate the issue (which is the complication with these intermittent issues). Will Apple charge me the replacement fee? I've mentioned to the person on the phone that the issue is indeed an intermittent and sporadic issue and he agreed that it needs servicing. There is no physical damage to the iPhone. It's been in a protective case from day one, screen protectors etc. And never been dropped or exposed to liquids, dirt, or excessive dust.

You can activate the phone by dialing *228 and following the instructions. You will need to know the last 4 digits of the account holder's social security number or the account password. A warranty replacement phone from Apple will have no affect on your contract. Your phone number will be the same.
If you have trouble activating the phone yourself, take it to your local Verizon Store or call 800-922-0204.

Apple express replacement charged me 600?!

Okay so, i bought a brand new unopened iphone 5 on ebay. The camera did not work so I called apple and told them, and I went through with the express replacement where they send me a new iphone and I mail in the defective one that I have. I am under warranty and everthing, so they told me its just a 29$ fee. I checked my bank activity just now, and apple has charged me the 29$ AND $610.42!!!!! Where did 610 dollars come from?!!? I tried calling apple, but they are now closed since it is past 10pm. I am going to the bank first thing tomorrow morning to stop the transaction, but I was wondering if anyone had this type of trouble before and/or if they could tell me why I was charged 610 dollars. It makes no sense to me.

Ad diesel said, that's the way it works. They authorize the price of a new phone against your card. If you do not retrun the defective phone, they will charge you for the replacement. If you return it, the charge will be reversed.
Also, just FYI: "i bought a brand new unopened iphone 5 on ebay"... there is no such thing. Just like you can't buy a brand new car from your next door neighbor (unless they own a dealership of course). There are no authorized sources for iPhones on ebay. It's remotely possible that the phone is, in fact, unopened and in new condition... however, it ceased being "new" the minute it was purchased from Apple or a carrier.

Where can I buy a genuine apple replacement battery (A1309) for my Mid 2010 17" Macbook Pro? There are used batteries on ebay that don't appear genuine. There are some third-party knock offs. The apple store seems to believe they can replace it, but I have to make a reservation at the silly Genius Bar just to have them tell me how much it's gonna cost, not to mention then likely wait for them to order the battery and install it. I'm perfectly capable of installing it myself. I just need to know where I can order it?

Yeah, that's what I've finally decided. I was kidna super frustrated because the first apple store I called wouldn't even tell me a price or tell me if they could replace the battery without a Genius Bar appointment, and as I would have to take off work and drive acros town--and I don't have a car so I'd have to borrow one--that was pretty annoying. That call left me pricing linux laptops. I called another store to see if I'd have better luck, and the initial answer was the same, but the girl relented under some trying-to-be-nice-but-clearly-annoyed pressure, and she gave me the answers I needed: yes, they should have the battery in stock and it should be a same-day replacement that should cost $179.
It just *****, really, because there's so much about Apple that I used to love, and I'm watching it kinda melt away under their success in the mobile market. As a professional user, there's less and less reason to stick with them. Instead of being the best they can be, I feel like they're just trying to be flashier and just a little better than the other mediocre computer companies. Ugh. Anyway, now I'm ranting.

As above, where can I buy a genuine A1280 replacement battery for my Macbook Aluminium Unibody late 2008 5.1 notebook? Is it worth buying from a Battery UK company off the internet, or Amazon or eBay? (Have read various negative comments about using a non-Apple replacement).

Where can I get hold of a replacement mains cable for a Mac Book?

It looks like we have somehow misplaced the mains cable for my Dad's MacBook. The big question where could I get hold of a replacement one ? I have looked on Apple's website but unless I am either blind or daft I can't see one.
