Hii, so I've added a website on my iPod touch homescreen for a while now and I've noticed there is no app in the app store for this website , and there should be an app for everything right ? Anywayz the website is called fanfiction.net and it's pretty Popular amongst online readers. I was wondering how do I ask or more of actually where do I go to suggest to apple to create this app? It's important to me :p

Nearly all of the applications are created by third parties. If you have access to a Mac capable of running the iOS SDK and can learn it, you can make one yourself.

How do we get apple to create an app that allows us to lock/hide other apps we don't want others using/seeing?

I don't want to "jailbreak" my iTouch but I do want to be able to hide and/or restrict the use of some of my apps. I have spent several hours looking for a way to do this but no luck. It seems like a logical thing to me to have this option. Any suggestions on how to encourage Apple to create a 'hide an app' app?

So enable the Settings -> General -> Passcode lock
Also in Passcode lock set the "Require Passcode After..." to a value that allows you to unlock again within 'n' minutes of the most recent lock/sleep without needing a passcode.
Then to make life easy for you, set the Settings -> General -> Auto-Lock to a time peroid that re-locks soon enough for you without being annoying
So if someone goes into your purse, they will not get access to anything.
NOTE: 10 failed passcode entries will lock up your iPod Touch such that you will be forced to restore your iPod Touch from you most recent sync/backup with iTunes on your personal computer. So if you go this route, make sure you frequently sync with iTunes on your personal computer or you will loose most of the information on your touch. If you are using iCloud to backup stuff on your touch, then that is another route, assuming what you backup does not exceed the free 5GB iCloud or you have purchased extra iCloud space. Personally, I make sure I have a regular iTunes backup, so if anything happens to my touch, I can just restore from my most recent backup.

It would be great if apple applied and app lock or even a file lock for ISO 5 it seem like this is something that would have been done a long time ago..... What is your thoughts about this

There is a passcode lock for the phone. Individual apps can implement their own locking mechanism (e.g. 1Password, iBank, etc.). It's neither likely nor practical for Apple to implement any kind of system that would lock individual apps. If you don't want people looking at the neked pics of your significan other, then don't keep them on your phone or don't let people use your phone.

The OP seems to be referring to a recognition pattern in place of the slide to unlock the iPhone. This user defined pattern is common on an Android.

The Other items could be items in the OS X folders such as the System folder and caches, personal information such as documents, contacts, calendar data, App Plugins or extensions, Media files that cannot be classified by Spotlight as a media file because they are located inside of a package, file types not recognized by Spotlight. Where can I buy a genuine apple replacement battery (A1309) for my Mid 2010 17" Macbook Pro? There are used batteries on ebay that don't appear genuine. There are some third-party knock offs. The apple store seems to believe they can replace it, but I have to make a reservation at the silly Genius Bar just to have them tell me how much it's gonna cost, not to mention then likely wait for them to order the battery and install it. I'm perfectly capable of installing it myself. I just need to know where I can order it?

Yeah, that's what I've finally decided. I was kidna super frustrated because the first apple store I called wouldn't even tell me a price or tell me if they could replace the battery without a Genius Bar appointment, and as I would have to take off work and drive acros town--and I don't have a car so I'd have to borrow one--that was pretty annoying. That call left me pricing linux laptops. I called another store to see if I'd have better luck, and the initial answer was the same, but the girl relented under some trying-to-be-nice-but-clearly-annoyed pressure, and she gave me the answers I needed: yes, they should have the battery in stock and it should be a same-day replacement that should cost $179.
It just *****, really, because there's so much about Apple that I used to love, and I'm watching it kinda melt away under their success in the mobile market. As a professional user, there's less and less reason to stick with them. Instead of being the best they can be, I feel like they're just trying to be flashier and just a little better than the other mediocre computer companies. Ugh. Anyway, now I'm ranting.

A few options to try:
They hyphen should be next to the + on the character map.
If you are still having issues, provided your ATV software is up to date, you can now connect an Apple Wireless Keyboard through bluetooth connections.
Change your network password so it does not use a hyphen

You only option is to buy a copy of Mac OS X, either the retail disk or system disks.
There are places you can by a copy of Mac OS X, like online vendors, Amazon or eBay.
System disk are gray and come with more than one disk. Retail disk are black with a 'X' on them and often come as one DVD disk.
Not sure what version your going to require as you haven't provided any specification and model details.
I would safely assume being a G4, it would be happy to install Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.

Do you have a credit card on your account ? Messages about security codes usually refer to the 3 or 4 digit code on the credit card that you are using on your iTunes account - it's quite often on the back of the card on the signature strip, though on some cards it's on the front : credit card security code.

You are referring to iTunes? Open iTunes > Menu Bar > Store > and authorize computer. You can only do it with the one you are currently signed into the iTunes Store with, so you will need to do this with every computer you want to authorize.
Edit: I missed the 'de' in your post - but, as you can see, you can de-authorize it as well.

is pinned to the top of the forum you'd see that it's explained under best practices :
"Use Questions and not Discussion thread types, this will allow us to “close” suggestions once they are no longer relevant or have been addressed."
So no, there's no "make a suggestion" option, but then since I imagine that would require them to add an entire new type of post to the entire forums it's somewhat overkill, so instead you can simply use the question option which can be turned
to the same purpose.
