I finally got my gift card registered to buy ebooks. How do I find them?

If it's for iBooks then you can buy them via iTunes on your computer (you'll need iTunes version 10.3+), or via the iBookstore in the iBooks app on your device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch)

The iPad was bought in mid-June, but I did not get extended Apple-Care warranty on it. Any idea of what's happenening?

Multiple means how many? If only 2 or 3, they could all be faulty. Try the headphones in some other device, to make sure they are OK. Or there could be something wrong with the headphone port.
Your iPad is still covered by the 1-year warranty so you should make a Genius appointment and have it looked at.
Another thing to try is to plug in the headphone jack a few times in succession to see if it frees up something inside the port.

You can use them to buy ibooks from the ibookstore - and also for items from iTunes, the app store and Mac App Store.
I assume that you are going to give the card(s) as presents ? You can't buy a card, redeem it onto your account, and then use your account's balance to gift items from the store, gifting can only be done via a credit card (and ibooks can't be gifted).

Our developper's have created the custom objects in a new oracle user.
The have given all grants ans synonyms to APPS (by the hand with manuel scripts).
They didn't use the 'Security\oracle\register' forms.
They have just declared the application in 'security\oracle\data group' using APPS as oracle id.
So they did not have to enter a password in AOL for the new custom oracle userneme.
QUESTION ?
Did we miss something ? What is wrong ?
Are we qoing to face some issue (with standard AOL admin scripts for exemple ?)
Does Always OA connect via APPS or did it sometimes need to connect
with the real oracle usernam of the custom application ?

I believe you're probably okay, as long as you are only adding objects, not modifying existing ones. We have custom database accounts registered through the aforementioned forms, but as a rule-of-thumb we always grant all on any custom objects to APPS with grant option. All custom packages we create are also created under the APPS schema. The underlying user that is running for our custom forms & reports is still APPS. We just put tables, indexes, and similar objects under the custom accounts primarily so that we can clearly tell what objects are custom and which are not.
Keep in mind that one risk you run with any customizations you make under APPS (or any other delivered database account) is that there is always a chance that Oracle could create an object with the exact same name in the future, potentially overwriting your customizations

Was given an Apple TV (used) as a gift and I need help with a problem.

The Apple TV I was given shows a blinking yellow light that stays on for just a little over one second then goes out for a split second then comes on for a little over a second etc.. etc.... During the brief time the LED is out there is a small sound that emits from the box (like a drive powering down?).
I have tried resetting it with the remote (menu plus pressing down the - key) but nothing happens.
This all occurs when it is first plugged in, and there is nothing showing on the TV screen itself.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

I will try the component cables to see if that helps. One other detail... the original remote was lost so I am using an Apple remote from a laptop that has not been paired with the Apple TV. Besides unplugging the power cord is there some way to reset the Apple TV using a pin (hard reset)? I don't see a whole to do that with.

Can i use both the ibook and kindle ebook apps on the same ipod?

I have the ibook ebook app on my ipod touch at the moment which i love and use a lot but one of my favourite authors has started releasing her ebooks only for kindle devices. Can i install the kindle ebook app on my ipod as well as the ibook app without the two interfering with each other?

as well as Barnes & Noble's Nook app, Sony's ereader, Kobo, and a dozen or more additional ereaders.
If reading PDFs, I like "GoodReader" as it has the ability to re-render the text to a larger font size that is earier to read on an iPod Touch.

Can you buy something using your own apple account on someone else's iPad? If I log in and buy stuff for a friend and then give it to her, can she then log in and buy/rent more things using her own account? Want to give it loaded with starter things!

My friend is sick and I want to buy her an iPad and load it with my songs and buy her some apps and movies. Can I give it to her and then she can log in using HER user name and buy more things? It might erase all I gave her? Not sure what to do because she won't have time or energy to fool around with all the great things there are and would appreciate us doing that part for her. Later, when she is feeling better, she may want to rent a movie or buy and app. Not sure how this works.

DURIM - Okay. I would expect the "Cache Warning" message because your default directories would not be the same as the ones in the settings file I generated.
If you go back to the "7.0" directory and open the "Logs" folder, can you copy the "Audition Log.txt" file and send it as an attachment to [email protected]? We'll take a look in that logfile and see if it gives us more information about why this is failing now.
Also, do you have any other Adobe applications installed on this machine, such as Premiere Pro? If so, do they launch as expected or fail as well?
I do have the trial Pro version of Adobe reader, but I have not activated it, because I fear the same thing will happen did it. I cannot afford to activate the subscription for that product and take the chance of it not working either. I depend on those two programs religiously. Here is the files that you requested. 1. If you are this unhappy with that phone, and the lost earbuds is the only thing stopping you from taking it back, why do not just buy some earbuds. That way you can get rid of that phone. It all depend upon how much you want to get rid of that phone.
2. Yet if you are stuck with that iPhone, here is something might help you to control the data usage. By design, iPhones do turn off WiFi when they go dormant. So if a download is in progress and so forth when the phone goes dormant, it will switch to use cellular data, if this setting is left on. Therefore, from multi-sources I have learned that if you keep your iPhone connected to a power source, then it will stay connected to the available WiFi.

There is simply too much information offered for me ( a neurologically disabled person - specifically with working memory difficulties [dyslexia, dyspraxia/DCD] ) and all one can do is write yet another new question - which will probably be a repeat of what has been asked before in a different way and increase the already existing mass of information for the next enquirer to 'wade; through!
The consequence of not knowing where to look for information, is that I just bumble along and never become as proficient using Firefox (and the web and my computer) as might be possible if I had a really good teacher giving personal one to one guidance matching my knowledge gained so far and skill potential.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Hi Henry,
I don't think this is the easiest way to look at the code around a particular field on the screen. Debugging standard programs also can be very tedious, if not impossbile. So, instead of this question, I would like to find out exactly what you want to do if you know the code.
If you are in a transaction and you want to know where the code of a particular field is, the fastest way to get to it is by pressing the F1 key on the field and then press the Technical info button on the help screen. In here you will typically see the same kind of information but it is very specific to the field you selected.
PROGRAM(SCREEN) tells you which program is manipulating the main screen, in which your field is embedded. Remember your field may be included in a sub-screen and that subscreen may be the one included in the main screen.
PROGRAM(SUB SCREEN) tells you which program is directly responsible for the field on the subscreen it is included in. This is where you should find the code most appropriate for the field, but not necessarily.
PROGRAM(GUI) controls how your push buttons and the menu options in the screen behave and controlled.
