Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

Thanks for replying, Jim. I wasn't planning to use it for raw images. I shoot film, black and white, and have many negatives I want to print. I am unfamiliar with the upgrades in Lightroom. I wasn't unhappy with the version I have. It was useful for my purposes.
Because it was a few years ago, I don't remember if I registered the product. I was able to login to my account. But could not find a path to communicate with Adobe. I will keep trying.

On the assumption you want to install Final Cut Express (and not something from the app store), you find the serial number on on the documentation that came with the FCE disks. If you do not have the documentation, you are out of luck.

The people I have talked to both online and via telephone seem unable to help me find out how to find a serial number so I can do my work. I spent five hours yesterday after buying Adobe XI Pro, trying to get the program to work because I can't find the serial number. Why? I feel that I am losing my mind!

You don't need a serial number. The problem you're having is due to having the iWork trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

No. The only way to locate it is with Find my iPhone. If location services is off, you can't locate it.

Can anyone help me in Locating a serial number for my Final Cut Studio??-- I dont know where the booklet "installing your software" is --i have all other disks and books-- i need to upgrade from FCP5.1 to 6.2

The booklet is the only place where you can find the serial #.
There is a file on your computer, but it is encrypted.
You might be able to get the number from the splash screen (Final Cut Pro > About Final Cut Pro) but I have heard that it is not displayed in full in some releases. It certainly displays in full on the FCP 7 splash screen.

Welcome to the discussions, Mr Z.
Do yourself a favor and until you locate your serial number, make a copy of /Library/Application Support/ProApps/Shake System ID and keep it safe somewhere off system. That's where your (encrypted) serial number is stored.

I downloaded iwork trial for 30 days thru the mac app store. Then I purchased pages on app store. It has worked fine for me for 1 year. It has been exactly 1 year since i initially downloaded the trial version. Not sure if that has something to do with this. But that Now that the iwork trial is 1 year old, i cannot use the full function of the pages app i paid for. It keeps telling me that i need to purchase i work now that my trial has expired. Navigate to :
All Files›public_YK > for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items
Download : uninstall iWork '09.zip
expand it
run the embedded script.
After that, return in the MAS to re-download (for free) Pages.
