Where do I look up the length of my playlists?

I've always been able to see how long my playlists are in older versions of iTunes. With iTunes 11 that's not visible anymore. This is an essential feature to me because I need my playlists to be of a certain time length/duration. Any thoughts or light as to where that info is now?

Thanks!!! It seems like everything in the new version has been disabled by default - annoying and it almost made me switch to another music app for good.

does anyone have an idea, where I can look up the production date of a MacBook Pro? I can't remember when I bought it...

Try this site as well. Paste in your Macs serial number and it will reveal all kinds of info about it including exactly where is was assembled. You can get the serial number from System Profiler. Cheers!

You likely have a 2G iPod and those can go higher than 4.2.1
    A 3G can go to 5.1.1
IA 4G, with cameras can go to iOS 6.1.6.
The 5G, also with cameras can go to iOS 8
    To update
The Settings>General>Software Update comes with iOS 5 and later.
Connect the iPod to your computer and update via iTunes as far as your iPod model allows
iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    - A 2G to 4.2.1. Requires iTunes version 10 or higher. If a Mac it requires OSX 10.5.8 or later.
    - A 3G to 5.1.1  Requires iTunes version 10.5 or later
    - A 4G to 6.1.6  Requires iTunes version 10.7 or later. For a Mac, that requires a Mac with OSX 10.6.8 or later
    - A 5G to iOS 8 Requires iTunes 11.4 or later if you update via iTunes

  • Where can I find the length of my playlist?

I thought it was supposed to tell me the length of my playlist at the bottom of iTunes so I knew how many songs I could burn to a CD. I see nothing but the ministore below my playlist.

    Hi, Ankaara.
Look beneath the MiniStore - just above the XP Taskbar assuming you've left the taskbar in its default location along the botton edge of your computer desktop.

  • HT1620 Where do I look for the security key when I download an item.  Your website says your key is 0xD0261077

Where do I look for the security key when I download an item.  Your website says your key is 0xD0261077?

Your question is somewhat terse, and I might infer you're conflating the PGP key used for Apple security-related email communications with cryptographic hashes (message digests) used to verify the integrity and the origin of files, and with digitally-signed binaries.  While these areas are somewhat related, details vary.  (If you're already familiar with this stuff, my apologies.)
The Apple PGP key is used to sign (verify) messages from the security folks at Apple, and can be to encrypt messages sent to the Apple security folks.  See this Apple Security PGP web page for details on using the PGP key for message verification and for message encryption.
File downloads are implemented differently, and will generally involve a particular cryptographic hash or message digest (and not necessarily a PGP key), and what might be used used varies by the particular website and the download involved, with some sites using the older and insecure MD5, and with others increasingly using some variation of the less-insecure SHA cryptographic hash.  Depending on the scheme used, these can protect against corruptions, or can also be used to sign the binaries.  The system that Apple is encouraging developers to use is called Developer ID.
Shell commands used and useful here include md5 and various openssl commands for the sha hashes/digests.
If you have a particular public web site or file download, post a pointer and I'll have a look.

  • How do I find out the length of a playlist on my Ipod?

    Hi
I use my i-pod to create my playlists and I  need to know how long a playlist is? Can you see this somewhere on the ipod?
On a different note, I have recently starting having a problem with my playlists getting deleted off my ipod when I sync it to itunes.  For some reason only the playlists I made prior to Jan 2012 have stayed in my music library. What is going on here?
I teach fitness classes so I create playlists often and I like to keep the history so i know what I taught when? Plus, I need to know how much music time I have selected.
Can anyone help with these 2 questions?
    Thanks
    Erin

Your two questions are closely intertwined. So, one at a time.
You cannot see the total playing time for a Playlist on the iPod, but you can in iTunes. If you select the Playlist in your iTunes Library, at the bottom of the window you will see: 11 songs, 1.5 hours, 111.1MB for example. If you click on that text, the information will change to:  11 songs, 1:34:12 total time, 111.1MB which is probably more useful to you. Then (because you need that information on the iPod), I rename the Playlist so that it contains the playing time information. So in my example, it became Another Chill - 11 @ 1h34.
I realise that you are making these Playlists on the iPod, but that my solution only works after that Playlist has been shown in iTunes. This brings us to the other problem. (You're lucky, in my case, every single Playlist on my iPod Touch was deleted from both the iPod and iTunes. And I mean every Playlist, including the standard ones created by iTunes, such as the Recently Added one.)
There is an ongoing problem that means that Playlists created on an iPod are now not added to the iTunes Library (as they should be), and they are deleted from the iPod as well, whenever the iPod is Synced with iTunes. I have reported this, as a bug in iTunes, several times. There have been three or four iTunes updates since my first report and the problem is yet to be fixed. Incredibly, the last update (iTunes 10.6.1.7) has partially fixed the issue. A playlist created on an iPod Classic is now added to iTunes, but so is an empty Playlist along with it. The problem remains as before on the iPod Touch, Playlists are deleted from the Touch.
So I've sent in another bug report.
In the meantime, all you can do is:
before Syncing the Touch, create the same Playlist in iTunes that you previously created on the Touch.
once you have created it, you can see the total playing time as I indicated above.
rename the Playlist so that the Playing time is now is the Playlist name
Sync the iPod. The Playlist created on the iPod will be deleted, but the Playlist you created in iTunes, complete with the running time, will now be added to your iPod.
When this bug is eventually fixed, there will be a slight change in what you need to do:
Sync the iPod to iTunes. The Playists created on the iPod will now be in the iTunes Library. (Do not remove the iPod.)
rename the Playlists so that they have all the information you require in the title
look on the Device/Summary pane (tab) and click on Sync. The revised Playlist titles will now be on the iPod.
In the meantime, if you feel like adding your weight to my bug reports, go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html and under I have feedback about, select other, since there is no longer an option for "bug report" in iTunes.
I realise that my suggestion involves some effort, but if it gives you the information you require, then hopefully, it should be worth it.

  • My guest network will not connect.  Where do I look at the set up?

I use comcast as my ISP and use their Arris router (modem??) to connect.  I have an airport extreme for my wireless network for printing, ipad, etc.
I set up a main network and also a guest network so that I wasn't giving everyone my main network password.  It has worked fine until I updated to 10.8.5
Now, whatever device I use, iphone, ipad, iMac, to try and connect to the internet, and choose my guest network, which I can see in the list of networks to choose from, along with my main network, the indicator on the device just spins, but it never connects to the network.
I looked in airport utility and see the internet with a green ligh and the AE with a green light.  Where do I see my networks, and how they are set up, in order to figure out what has gone wrong?
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi sundancepass!
I have a couple of articles for you here that may help resolve this issue. First, a link to the new user's guide to the iPod shuffle! While this is a guide for the second generation iPod shuffle, not much has changed, so it will still be mostly relevant:
The New User's Guide to iPod shuffle
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1654
There may be a very small issue keeping your iPod from showing up in iTunes. This is an often overlooked mistake, and there is an article about this issue right here:
iPod shuffle (4th generation): Not seen in iTunes

If you are still having issues with your iPod showing up in iTunes, you may want to refer to this article for further troubleshooting:

  • Where to look for the attributes functionality of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID?

Where can I look for the functionality of the Attributes section of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID?

SE24 shows you the methods and attributes.
and help.sap.com shows the functionality / usage of the methods. it does not tell about the attributes part.
I need to know this usage information about the attributes.

    hi @,

DO I have to do any other setting and or publishing the same in Registry etc.

    Hi There,

    >
    >DO I have to do any other setting and or publishing the same in Registry etc.
everytime i looked up the location of an deployed WSDL i used the "Single Service Administration" in the NWA. In that tool you can search for the name of the WSDL-Interface which you connected to the startevent of your bpm-process. In a option downside the Single Service Administration you can open the WSDL which opo ups in a new browser. Copy that URL from the opened window and cut somthing like &=ws_policy at the end of the URL.
You can start a Process with this URL if you send a propper SOAP-Message to it. You don't need to publish the Service in the Service Registry to use it.
    Hope this Helps
    With kind regards

  • Where do I look for all my photos?

When I enter TM, if I click on Pictures under Places the window that opens shows iPhoto Library under an icon with a sunset picture that resembles the iPhoto symbol in the dock. When I click on that, a window opens that gives information about the latest modification date. Where do I look for the actual photos?

    C34captain wrote:
I have had a similar problem for some time. All my pictures show up under now, but if I scroll back using the time bars on the side, all the pages are blank with a text that says "loading photos", but nothing ever shows up no matter how long I wait. I access time machine both ways and I get the same result.
That doesn't sound good. Where are your backups (external disk, Time capsule, etc.)? How big is the +iPhoto Library+ on your internal HD?
You might try doing a +*Repair Disk+* (not permissions) on your TM drive/partition via Disk Utility (in your Applications/Utilities folder).
If that doesn't help, take a look at your logs for the time you were trying to see the photos. Use the Console app (same place) to see if there are any messages indicating a problem.
When it starts, click +Show Log List+ in the toolbar, then navigate in the sidebar that opens up to your system.log and select it. Navigate to the time that you noted above, then see what follows that might indicate some sort of *error, failure, throttling respawn, termination, exit,* etc. (many of the messages there are info for developers, etc.). If in doubt, copy and post (a reasonable amount of) the log here.

  • Where are my Apps from the cloud on iMac?

My son just got an iPod and I wanted to try to download my apps that are in the cloud to my IMac so the he can put them on his iPod.  BUT, when I hook up my phone like to sync and select APPs, I only see the Apps currently on my phone.  I can not see all the APPs in the cloud?
    Help....

Where are you looking ? The Apps part of your Mac's iTunes library will only show the apps that you have on your Mac - unlike the Music, Movies and TV Shows part of your library the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tickbox on the Store tab in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) doesn't appear to work for apps.
You can redownload apps (if they are still in your country's store) on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage
Or you can copy the apps that you have on your phone back from it via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (that only copies the apps, not their content).

  • Where to look for the computed stats collected using gather_table_stats

I have used analyze command before but new to gather_table_stats.
I have executed gather_table_stats procedure as given below. Now where to look for the statistics estimated and also what are the important parameters I need to look in the stats ? Any major difference between analyze & gather_table_stats ?
    SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(ownname => 'TPDBS01A', tabname => 'x_TPD_STG_TL_SF_LEGAL_OWN
    ER' , estimate_percent => 50, method_opt => 'for all indexed columns size auto');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

The command "analyze table" is deprecated for gathering optimizer statistics. But it is still the only command to get for instance the chained rows. This command is no longer maintained for new features, so if you use this command to collect statistics, it might not collect all needed numbers for the optimizer so the plan could be wrong.
The package dbms_stats is collecting all the figures that the optimizer needs to genererate an optimal access plan. All new database features are incorporated only here.
The statistics numbers can be found in the normal tables like USER|ALL|DBA_TABLES, ...TAB_COLUMNS, ...INDEXES, ...IND_COLUMNS etc. There you can find for instance number of rows in table, clustering factor for indexes and more numbers like this. They are not really needed for us human beings, they are used by the optimizer to generate the access plan.
