Where do I place Oracle BI Beans

So that it recognizes JDeveloper. Currently, by default, it's placing under C:\BI_beans. Do I place BI beans under c:\jdev9.0.3.4\jdev\bin directory?

  • Where do I place JSP and Beans?

    Hello,
    I have just installed JDeveloper and have no idea where to place JSP pages and Bean class files so thet JDeveloper can access them when I run or debug a page.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    In JDeveloper, applications are grouped by one or more projects and a workspace containing projects. In your case, if you already have beans and JSPs built, here's what you need to do:
    1. Create a new workspace.
    2. Create a project using the 'create a project from existing source code' option.
    3. Optionally check the 'copy to project's source directory' to include your files in the project.
    Hope this helps,

  • Where to place oracle query?

    Hi,
    I have followed evnafets suggestions when setting up tomcat for connection pooling. Everything works fine when I place the query in the jsp, but I would like to do this correctly and keep all sql code out of the view.
    Where would I place the query, in a configuration file or would it go into a servlet ?
    Thanks,
    Alan

    Thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated by
    us new to java web-apps.
    ---warning --- beginning of rant ---
    It almost seems hopless, i'm not sure how anyone can
    possibly master or even learn all this,
    it wasn't enough to learn basic java, then learn how
    to use a servlet container (Tomcat 5.0), and then
    figure how to make it connect it to oracle9i, and
    seamlessly integrate this with the Apache2.0 web
    server. (I won't go into the Apache2.2 ordeal i had!)
    oh, then when you want to upgrade to Tomcat 5.5
    scratch everything you know, things are now
    different!
    I thought all I had to do now was learn just enough
    about jsp to use jstl with javascript for client side
    validation, or learn jsf and just bypass the whole
    javascript thing.
    now, I find out I probably should use Hybernate, but
    once I do this i'll find out Struts was the better
    way to go, or Spring would have suited my situation
    best.
    -- end of rant ---
    man, i needed to get that out, I feel much better :)
    AlanAmen brother. I'm travelling the same road you are to Java App development. I feel your pain. I think you've got the right mindset, however: As I continue to learn, one thing I've been cognizant of is keeping things in a logical place, decoupled as much as possible from other "pieces". This rule of thumb allows me to say "Okay, I'll probably learn a better way to do this on Wednesday, so if I keep things segmented, it'll be easy to switch pieces in and out."
    I doubt I'll ever get back to that "switch pieces in and out" phase, but it's good to know that it was organized as best as can be at the time of development. Keep the code comments in there, document as needed, test and test again. You'll be fine. :)
    Nice rant, by the way. You speak for me, too. :)

  • Where can I get Oracle Client 10.2.0.2 or Oracle Client 10.2.0.5

    My client application has to have the correct version. Does anybody know where can I get it?
    This is urgent!

    Assuming you mean the database client, 10.2.0.3 and 10.2.0.4 are currently available. If they are not available in base form for your platform, then you take the highest one that IS available and download and apply the related patches.
    My client application has to have the correct version. Does anybody know where can I get it?
    In which case you want to discuss about the Oracle Support contract that your client currently is using.
    This is urgent!
    Apparently not. If it was, you would ask in the correct place - Oracle Support.
    You are asking in a forum of volunteers. There can, by definition, be nothing urgent in these discussions because you are not guaranteed an answer, never mind a timely answer. Even then the answer is not guaranteed to be correct. Especially since virtually none of the answers officially comes from Oracle.

  • Where i can download ORACLE 10g complete Reference

    Dear ALL,
    Where i can free download ORA-10g Complete Reference .
    Thanks in advance

    Dear ALL
    All Oracle documentation and Oracle-originated publically available references, white papers, tutorials, demos, samples and software are available from the same place - http://otn.oracle.com Therefore it is considered reasonable to start at the Oracle technical information portal (OTN) for any and all Oracle technical information. Specifically for documentation, one may shortcut through the portal by going to http://docs.oracle.com and http://tahiti.com
    You may also want to check http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Where+i+can+download+ORACLE+10g+complete+Reference+

  • Where can I download Oracle R12 E Business Suite essential

    Hello all, please help locate where l can download Oracle R12 E Business Suite essential

    If it is available, it will probably be through http://edelivery.oracle.com That is where Oracle puts pretty much all their downloadable software. The other place is usually the Download link on http://otn.oracle.com
    The last time I tried installing eBusiness Suite, it was a 'significant' task. Youmight be better off asking Oracle to arrange for a trial. IIRC, they are usually hosted, so you can get the experience of the application without the admin/tech learning curve up front.

  • OracleAS MapViewer Bean

    Hello,
    I'm using the OracleAS MapViewer Bean in my JSP application. As said in the use guide, this Bean is used for all maps created during the current session. But for me, it's a problem because when I close a first map (with addPointFeature, addWMSMapTheme and addJDBCTheme functions) and want to create a second one (with the same functions but with another data), information of the firsts is always there.
    Does anyone know how to put the scope of the Bean to page and not still to session?
    (As in the tag
    <jsp:usebean
    id="BeanName"
    class="com.XXX.class"
    scope="page">
    </jsp:usebean>
    Thanks in advance.

    The API has methods (such as deleteAllThemes, removeAllPointFeatures) to clean your current request. You can use these methods before creating the second map.

  • Problem with Versions - where can I Download Oracle BPEL PM 10.1.3

    Dear Experts,
    I have to develop my Oracle BPEL Process in JDeveloper 10.1.3 & I couldn't see corresponding Oracle BPEL PM server 10.1.3 instead I am having 10.1.3.1. Is it right way of use. Or please suggest me from where I can download Oracle BPEL PM 10.1.3.0 or 10.1.3.
    Note: Strictly my requirement is to develop bpel process with 10.1.3 standards.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
    We understand your requirement abut BPEL 10.1.3 standards. For this you can either download a BPEL standalone or 10.1.3.1.0 SOA Suite from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/bpel/index.html.
    Please note that SOA 10.1.3.1.0 is the base release where you have al the required BPEL standards you are looking for. Then, you might want to upgrade to 10.1.3.4 patchset and download the 10.1.3.4 JDeveloper to develop your BPEL processes.

  • Where do I place the different parts of the HTML 5 published files on a web page?

    I recently published an HTML 5 canvas document from Flash. Once the files are published where do they go on a web page? For example, lets say I had 3 animations published from Flash as HTML canvas objects. The files go on different parts of page, let's say in 3 different places in the body. Flash outputs the HTML file, JavaScript file, and whatever images in an 'images' folder. I'm not sure where I would place all these files on my web site. I know the JavaScript goes in the head of the index page. However, where do the other parts go? Further, if I have multiple HTML canvas objects how do I separate the code.
    All of the tutorials demonstrate how to publish the file, but give no assistance on how to place the file or files on a web page.
    Below is example code from a sample files:
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
    <title>HeadSpinning</title>
    <script src="http://code.createjs.com/easeljs-0.7.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="http://code.createjs.com/tweenjs-0.5.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="http://code.createjs.com/movieclip-0.7.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="http://code.createjs.com/preloadjs-0.4.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="HeadSpinning.js"></script>
    <script>
    var canvas, stage, exportRoot;
    function init() {
        canvas = document.getElementById("canvas");
        images = images||{};
        var loader = new createjs.LoadQueue(false);
        loader.addEventListener("fileload", handleFileLoad);
        loader.addEventListener("complete", handleComplete);
        loader.loadManifest(lib.properties.manifest);
    function handleFileLoad(evt) {
        if (evt.item.type == "image") { images[evt.item.id] = evt.result; }
    function handleComplete() {
        exportRoot = new lib.HeadSpinning();
        stage = new createjs.Stage(canvas);
        stage.addChild(exportRoot);
        stage.update();
        createjs.Ticker.setFPS(lib.properties.fps);
        createjs.Ticker.addEventListener("tick", stage);
    </script>
    </head>
    <body onload="init();" style="background-color:#D4D4D4">
        <canvas id="canvas" width="615" height="400" style="background-color:#FFFFFF"></canvas>
    </body>
    </html>

    All of the sections marked with the <script> tags should go in the head of the About page. From this line: <body onload="init();" style="background-color:#D4D4D4">, you want to take the onload="init();" part and add it to the <body> tag of the About page. You can also add the background color if you want.
    The part marked with the <canvas> tag is the part that need to be added to the body of the About page. I don't know what your About page contains, so I can't tell you where it should be placed.

    My Oracle Support ... and only if you have a paid-up support contract.  Actually, I'm not sure 9i would be available even then.  10g is only available to those with a paid-up sustaining support contract.  9i is so old (hasn't been supported in this millennium) I wouldn't be surprised it is not available at any price.  Further, I doubt it was ever certified for RHEL 5.  Hard to tell since the documentation isn't even available .....
    Just out of curiosity, why would you be needing such an antique?
    On another note, please edit your profile to give yourself a recognizable name.
