I read to report any suspicious emails to customer support but I don't see an email address to send the email I received as follows...

Although the email address is not mine I want to report it to be investigated. There's an attachment but I'm not opening it, it's a zipped folder. Thank you for your time and help.

I think you are right to be suspicious of this email. There is every chance that the attachment is infected and you should not open it.
    However
    1. It does not seem to be a Phishing email at all. There is no invitation to login, to send personal details, or to do anything else related to phishing.
    2. The email does not say it is from Adobe, or in any way connected with Adobe. It does not impersonate Adobe email addresses, it uses hotmail addresses. It just says there is a PDF, and has typical text about how to get Adobe Reader.
Not sure why you think Adobe would be interested in this.

  • Has anyone else been receiving emails from their iTunes acc email to their same email claiming to be from Apple?

I just received an email from the account that I have my iTunes account with to that same account claiming to be from Apple Support.  I have attached a screencap to show email.

Yes, well it is still a spam/phising e-mail, so just delete it and check your iTunes e-mail account as it could have been hacked.  Go in and change the passwords associated with the account.
Any correspondence from iTunes or Apple directly should have your name on it and not Dear Apple Customer or iTunes Customer.  It's the same with the PayPal e-mails - they put Dear or Dear Customer without the name, which PayPal never do.
Delete it and then log into the e-mail account and change all the passwords to ensure that the account has not been hacked.

  • HT4865 how can i report a phishing email with an icloud address?

I got an email purporting to be from Apple requesting my email user name and password for my iCloud account.  The return address is an iCloud.com address.  Obviously, I know it was a phishing email, but is there some way to forward it to Apple so they can see if it actually did  originate from an iCloud address?

    Hi Gail,
I’m answering your question because I’ve received so many spoof/spam messages lately to my email address(es) at me.com. I decided to find out how to report them.
    Here’s what I found out:
    Suspicious email messages can be forwarded to one of the following;
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
Make sure to include the long header.
Long headers can be displayed using the menubar (see below)
Then either copy & paste the long header or simply forward the entire message.
Example of long header from a suspicious email:

Would Like to Get Report of Daily Emails In and Out from Members to a DL
    Exchange version : 2007
I am the supervisor for the group and want to quantify this information. I do not need to see the content, just quantity
    is it possible ?

Well, distribution groups don't really have a concept of "in" or "out". They only serve to distribute messages sent to them -- unless you're asking to know who was a member of the distribution group at the time a message was sent to the DL.
Message tracking logs hold the information you want, though. You'd have to look for EXPAND events that reference the distribution group and take the sender's e-mail address from that event. If the DL is a simple one that's not a member of any other groups
you could also look for RECEIVE events sent to the e-mail address of the group and get the sender's name from that event.
You can use Powershell extract the rows of data from the logs, but you'll have to write the code to get the data out of those rows and into a format you want. Perhaps LogParser could be useful in place of Powershell?

You can't buy anything. Points are available in all countries, but again you cannot buy anything.

You said you would pay any price for Siri. You want Siri, it's $700.

  • URGENT - Are these emails claiming to be from BT B...

Hello. I've just had two emails that I think could be fake:
    (1) Last night at 22:54.
From bt.ipsip.co.uk Subject "Your latest BT bill is now online."
    Body:
Get a 200£ Visa® Prepaid card when you pay your BT services. Enroll now to WIN!" and then below it:
"Reward yourself for once. Actually, twice. Get a 200£ prepaid card* by mail + 200£ credit only with a few clicks!
Enroll now with a few clicks!" Followed by a link, then "**Offer ends 07/31/14. This offer is only available by ordering online. "
My concerns: 200£ not £200 / also date in American order rather than UK's 31/7/14/
    (2) Today at 08:55. From [email protected] Subject "IMPORTANT - your Billing Information"
    Body:
IMPORTANT - WE NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
Hello - This e-mail has been sent to you to inform you that we were unable to confirm your BT account information.
This might be due to a recent change in your personal information. (eg: billing address, phone).
The secure way to confirm your account information:
    1.Download the attached Document..
    2. Follow the instructions to Confirm you account information
You might need your BT account number for this you'll find it at the top of your bill. We'll send you a confirmation email once your account information verified.
    Thanks for choosing BT,
     Libby Barr
Managing Director, BT Sales and Service
This is an automatic email, so please don't reply. To ensure future emails from BT are delivered to your inbox and not treated as spam, please add [email protected] to your address book. This email was sent to you at because you subscribe to BT services.
My concerns: I haven't changed my personal information / two full stops after 'Document' / 'Confirm you' instead of 'confirm your' in (2) / no full stop after "BT account number for this" / "has been" missing between 'information' and 'verified'. / something missing after 'sent to you at'.

Bin them. They are obviously fake. BT never ask you to confirm account details on an email. Do not click on any links or download anything if you are not 100% certain about them.

  • HT3402 Where is the ID Number If I downloaded Aperture directly From Apple with no Disk?

Where can I find my Aperture 3 serial number if I downloaded it directly from Apple and do not have a disk and therefore do no have a serial number on a box?

    This is me.
    Aperture 3.2.4
Are you sure, it is the AppStore version and not an Apple Store version? The version number suggests, you are running Snow Leopard and not Lion or Mt. Lion. With MacOS X 10.7.5 you should have been able to upgrade to Aperture 3.4.5 by now.
If you bought Aperture from the AppStore ( Not the pre-Lion Apple Store version), then the usual solution is to reinstall Aperture.  Have you kept the installer you downloaded? You cannot download you current  Aperture version again, since the AppStore version is now 3.4.5.
But if you downloaded Aperture from the Apple Store, you should have received a serial number by email. If you cannot find your serial number, contact Apple with a proof of purchase:

  • Email receipt not received from Apple Store.

Before Christmas, I bought a Macbook Pro from Apple Store in Chicago but have not received the receipt by email as promised.  I'm not in Chicago anymore so I can't go back to the store.  Can anyone suggest how to get a receipt?
    Thanks

Assuming you've checked any spam filters to make sure the email wasn't trapped, all I can suggest is for you to call them and ask for the receipt to be resent.
    Regards.

  • What if I got an email purchase receipt supposedly from Apple, but it looks like spam?

I got an email that seems to be a purchase receipt from the Apple Store for a computer in the amount of $2633.88 but the purchaser is not myself. Is there an email address I can forward this to in order to tell if its a legitimate purchase receipt from Apple or if its just a spam message created by a spammer?

Apple does offer to email receipts for in-store purchases.  I don't see why someone would spam you a fake receipt.  But, someone that might have been expecting it may not have (there could have been an error in entering the correct email address).  I would suggest you just give Apple a call.  They may have another way of contacting the buyer.

  • HT5622 How can I verify if an email is truly coming from Apple?

I'm receiving various emails which I think are not from Apple but they look like....the sender is: Apple@appleES_account.js.com and they ask to verify my account icloud because someone has tried to connect with another ip address... there is a link to a page in which I should insert my username, pwd, credit car number, etc..
Then I enter in icloud and I do not see anything strange, not alerts, nor invites to verify...
The look and feel of the email I'm receiving is quite strange...
How can I verify id Apple is really sending me the messages?
    Thanks,
