Where do I send my Apple TV for servicing?

My Apple TV (Gen 1) has a hard drive that is starting to get really noisy. I'd like to have it looked at before it fails. Can I mail it to a service center?

Yeah I mean a new one is a 100$. if a repair is going to cost you 50$ or up.....Just get a new one
Absolutely.
AppleTV1 still has unique features like the hard drive which allowed you to use it pretty much anywhere without the need for an internet connection or having a computer to supply media (eg on vacation somewhere remote with a TV), but a repair is unlikley to be cheap when you take parts and labour into consideration.

  • Where can I find iPhone "Apple ID" # for Access Control on Airport Express?

I'm running Apple Express (NOT Extreme) base station v5.5.1, & require Access Control on 802.11g network. I have "Apple IDs" for all our computers using network, but I can't figure how to get ID #s for iPhone. As workaround, I temporarily opened my network to standard 128-WEP encrypt w/ password, disabling Access Control. But some hash-chart wizard in my apt complex keeps beating WEP & bogging down network, no matter how many times I change passwords. Note: I can't set up WPA w/o Airport Extreme, so that's not an option.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

Yeah, this kinda had me going as well...at first I couldn't figure out where in the world was the MAC address for this iPhone! I check the iPhone, the box, online everything everywhere! I just happened to be in the Settings and went to About this iPhone...and Blam! there it was!!! Be sure and use the ID for WiFi. MAC Access Control is a great safeguard, though many say people can "spoof" MAC IDs. I haven't seen it and am not sure how it would be done.

  • Where can I send 'old' Apple equipment too

    Hello out there
Over the years I have, as most people also have I assume, accumulated quite a lot of 'old' and subsided Apple equipment, for example old MacBook Pro, Gen 2 iPods, AirPort Express Base stations and AirPort Extreme Base station, cabels etc.
Would not like to put into the usual rubbish as maybe someone has use for it.....
Any suggestions? I live in Alice Springs Central Australia
    Thank you
    Ingolf

    Hi Ingolf,
I wish we were a little closer to each other, I'd be happy to take care of those for you.
I suspect there's someone like me a lot closer to you, maybe Craigslist Australia?
    http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/au
Or whatever local classified advertising you might have around you. Around here a lot of stores have bulletin boards in the entryways and people can put up just about anything they want to. I'm sure a big FREE sign would attract some collectors.

  • Do I need to take my Apple TV for service?

I have the 3rd Gen Apple TV and have had it since the launch date. Probably 1/3 of the time when I turn the device on, I get the green screen, which is really frustrating. Normally after unplugging the device and plugging in again, it works fine -- but it's still annoying. Is this a common occurence?
Second, every now and then (which has happened at least 10 times since I've had the device but I use it often enough to say it is uncommon), I get static interference with the device. I've tried multiple HDMI ports and multiple HDMI cables, but the problem still occurs.
Is all of this enough to warrant me to take the Apple TV in for service? Does it sound like I have a faulty device? Or could there be something in the way I have it set up?
    Thanks everyone for any help.

    Hello:
If I were you, I would take it into an Apple store to have them check it out.

  • How to send phone to Blackberry for service?

My husband has had his phone for some time now but has always had problems with it staying charged.  He does not use it nearly enough to warrant it dying so quickly (they aren't allowed to use their phones on site)  Back when I had a BB curve I had the same problem.  My phone would be fully charged when I left for work at 7am and by 11am it would be dead just sitting in my locker.  I sent my phone back and they sent me a brand new one as it was the phone and not the battery that was the problem.  I suspect the same thing is happening with my husbands phone as he has 3 different batteries and none of them stay charged even without use.
The internet/BB site says to contact our service provider but we did not get our phones from our service provider.  We own them outright and purchased them directly from Blackberry as my Dad worked for them.  How do I send a phone back to BB for service that came directly from BB?!  We cannot find this information anywhere.

Surely you are better off asking your Dad if he used to work for them.

  • Where do you send a purchase order for a volume voucher?

I have a purchase order ready to go for a volume voucher.  How do I send it to Apple?

If you're a school, then according to this page:
    http://www.apple.com/education/it/vpp/
you would work through the Apple Online Store for Education or call 1-800-800-2775 (in the US; if you're in another country you'll call Apple Education in your country) to work with an Apple representative.
If you're a business, then from the information I see on Apple's program page for the business VPP they won't accept a PO.
    Regards.

  • Where can I find an Apple tech for help?

Loaded all my music CDs to iTunes on my mac.  Paid for iTunes Match.  No music in iTunes on my Mac, iPhone, iCloud, or PC.  Only ever saw the music one time on my Mac.  Then gone.   So many issues with Appleid and can't even begin to figure out where I am on passwords.  Decided to wait the 90 days so any machine could be deauthorized hoping maybe all albums downloaded and paid to match would show up on any device.
Where can I get a live person or step by step help to find the music I paid for, clean up all the different passwords, and sync all my devices so I can play all the music I have collected over the years?  I have spent hours dealing with this.

What do you mean the music is "gone?" I find that hard to believe.
At any rate it sounds like you need to make an appointment at your nearest Genius Bar: <http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/>.

  • Where can I buy original apple battery for 13" Mid 2010 MBP?

My battery life has decreased dramatically and I need a replacement battery. I don't want to go to an appe authorized service center to fix this problem. It's a relatively simple and cheap fix and apple authorised service center will ask for a lot of money.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
A battery replacement at an Apple Store or reseller costs $129 + labour, which is quite similar to the cost of buying a battery in the Internet.
Anyway, you can buy the battery in the Internet. There are different websites, but I recommend you to buy it at iFixit > http://www.ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/MacBook-Pro-13-Inch-Unibody-Battery/IF163-01 9

  • Where can I send my iPad in for a pre-repair diagnosis?

I had been using my Apple iPad with retina display 32gb Wfi for about a year, however last year I dropped it on a concrete surface which caused the digitizer to shatter. The device was still operating as normal, so I just filled the dent in with industrial strength glue. This seemed to work for me but eventually I decided to attempt to replace the digitizer myself (without following any sort of instruction). Unfortunately in the proccess I discoloured the lcd & either damaged the graphics card or damaged the lcd; currently the device produces no sound, no graphics & dose not connect via usb to pc. It dose build up heat energy, around the lcd connection, after being plugged into mains for a while.
Dose the Apple Store do diagnosis & repairs?
Could anybody recommend a diagnosis service?

Apple will not touch this machine with a ten foot pole. You need to find an authorized service center locally to have a look at it. But honestly, your best bet it to replace it. Once all of those issues are corrected and parts replaced, I suspect you could come close to funding a new one.
