Where do iMovies go when you sync to your phone??

Hello. I recently made my first video on my Mac using iMovie '09. I imported to iTunes and it shows under 'movies' in my iTunes. I then selected to sync all movies to my iPhone 4s. It seems to have worked according to iTunes. However, I cannot find the home movie anywhere on my phone! I looked under music, camera, photos, videos. Am I missing something? I also seached the phone for the movie title and could not find it that way either. Please help! I really want to send this video of my nephew to his mom. Thank you, Jen

I tried the video app and it isn't there. The only options I have within the video app are TV shows and music videos. It isn't under either one. I checked my video app settings and I have it set to show all videos. Thank you for the idea, it's just not working for some reason. That's the problem.

Syncing does not save your photos, photos are imported to the pc/mac.

You can chhose the backup when you would reset your device. In this case you would get the option, during the set up process, to choose your backup and restore your device from it.
(You can find a few information e.g. size and date of your backup in "Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage")

The only way to this can not be "export to media" or devices and from there to you tube?

Yes, i found it there. In fact; a logic place...
The second q. means the way you load upo; dirtectly from the menu share to you tube of first make a QT and from there to the sky.
I quess there must be no differance but you never know...

If you are referring to the green portion of the status bar at the bottom of iTunes that indicates current usage and available capacity, that portion (the green section) represents the spaced used by your apps themselves. You may find the following article useful:

Good morning, when you sync your iphone4, is the phone uploading to the pc or is the pc downloading to the phone? What is the overriding situation? Also, can you delete unwanted phot folders from the phone or do you have to try to "restore" phone to factory settings and start again or will this even work? I am always guessing when I sync because I am never sure which way it is going. Thanks for any help.

I thought I tried the uncheck/check but maybe I didn't so I will give that a try. It is actually my friends phone (I try stuff on mine but I was hesitant on someone else's phone) so I will try that when I visit them again next week. Thank you, I will let you know if I am successful.

Plug your iPhone into your Mac and open iPhoto. Transfer the photos from the phone to your Mac.

Yes iTunes backs up your iPod automatically every time you sync unless you have the Summary pane in iTunes for the iPod chacked to backup to iCloud. In that case yo have to manually backup to iTunes.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You don't need to do anything, you have chosen to back up to iCloud instead of iTunes.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

i don't know why it happens. but i know how frustrating it can be. the same thing happened to me. i posted a few inquiries in different apple forums and didn't get any ideas of how to fix it. i did however find a solution on my own.
i found that if i did a "restore my ipad" that it fixed it. i was hesitant at first because i was afraid of loosing valuable information. but much to my relief i didn't loose any thing. other than an hour of my time.
this seemed to fixed my problem of being stuck on "waiting for items to copy". my ipad now syncs both wired and wirelessly without any hang ups. however i would suggest that if you are syncing a large amount of data (movies for example) that you do it wired and not wirelessly. i found that it takes a lot longer to sync movies wirelessly.
