I am currently using progressive downloads but need to switch
to flv. I been having a hard time getting this to work.
I can run the samples that that are provided and even add my
own video in the vod/media forlder and play them but thats about
it...everything else fails..
Jumping ahead.
I have users uploading FLV to my site, how do I get these
files into the FMS directory when they are on the webserver..
honestly, I dont even know if im making any sense here, I
need some sleep

Try checking your own FLV files through FLVCheck tool. It is
possible that FLV files without Metadata don't play with
FMS.

Where does the iPhoto library reside on your hd? when I go to the search bar above, it shows 2 libraries! I am about out of hd space so I am hoping that it has been duplicated somehow. It's about 36GB. =)

By default it's in your Pictures Folder.
If space is an issue you can move the Library to an external disk:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

The only part of the repository you will find in the filesystem (as a default) would be the /etc repository. Its specific location depends on your implementation - it could be a local directory or on a share somewhere.
The only other parts of the KM subsystem you would find in the filesystem would be any custom repositories you had defined as FSDB or similar. Otherwise as reported everything else is stored in the DB.

Where does the INI file reside?

I've seen lots of forum posts on using the Properties class to read an INI file, but nothing on locating the INI file in the file system. Most of the examples use a hard-coded simplistic path (c:\temp\myapp.ini) or just the file name with no path.
From my meager knowledge of Java, I think the INI file should be deployed in the package directory with rest of the class files for the package. At any rate, the Java class reading the INI file cannot have a hard-coded directory path since the path may vary from install to install.
What Java statements can be used to identify the path for the run-time package? Where is the best place to place the INI file?

You put it somewhere in your classpath, as you describe. Then this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("/myapp.ini")gets you an InputStream from which you can read its contents.

Where does the song metadata reside (cover art work and other information)?

I edit the metadata for each album/song - add cover art, correct any album name or artists erros, make some notes to myself to help search/browse. Where does this data reside - with the song file or the library file or somewhere else? BTW I don't download the cover artwork from iTunes. I just find it online and copy and paste it into the metadata window. I have too many obscure albums to rely on iTunes.
The reason I ask is because I double backup my music and iTunes files. Normally, when I rip new albums I just add the new files and updated library files to me backup hard drives, by sorting by the modified date. But I'm now going back and editing all of my oder albums/songs metadata as I just described. In order to make sure this information gets backed up I'm simply backing up the entire iTunes Music folder, which takes all night cause it's around 500GBs. But I'd prefer to only add the modified files to the backup, which usually only takes a few moments.
When I sort by modified date the albums/songs I edited metadata for do not show up as modified that day. So, is it pointless to always backup the entire folder when all I have to do is back up what was modified? And if so, what are those files?
Also, is there a good app that will compare two hard drives and keep them in synch? So that I can basically do what I want to do automagically? Set one as the master and one as the backup, and ahve the app always synch the backup to the master. That would be nice!

If you're not downloading artwork from iTunes, all of the tags and artwork are stored with the individual song files. Some iTunes-specific data, like play count and rating, are stored in the iTunes Library database file.

The controllers can be accessed only by code, calling the wd_get_api on the wd_this, wd_comp_controller attributes.
Ofcourse, you can check the interface methods etc of if_wd_view_controller in se24.

Please suggest some material for further details if available.

I am new to abap. I want to know when we create a object in the data dictionary, where is it stored?
I do know that when we activate the object a same replica is created in the database having the syntax valid in the database.
I just want to know if i have created one object which is not activated where it will be stored?

Hi Sarabjeet,
When a program/objects is created without saving till that time it is only in application sever and thereafter when are you pressing
'SAVE' , then only it is stored to the backend database as inactivate version.
While code changing (modifications) both inactive and active versions are stored in the database.
When it is inactive(if you are executing it alone ), only you can use it not other system users(Note: you can't use one inactive versions object in another active objects.)
Once it is activated, all other users of same client can use your Program/objects.

I cannot find the location of "console.log" - any help would be appreciated.

Can the bookmarks be portable to other Macs and if so, where is the bookmark file found?

Would like to coordinate bookmarks from one Mac to another. Can I just setup my master bookmarks on my MBP, then move that library file wherever it lives to another Mac? Where do the bookmark files reside?

if you want an exact replica of the bookmarks, including the bookmarks bar - copy
Home/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist to the same folder on the second mac, with Safari quit.
If you want to add to those already there - it's the same file, but use Safari - File - Import Bookmarks... on mac #2
this will create a new 'collection' in Bookmarks containing all those on mac #1, but won't erase any existing ones.

When I put a network shared variable with fifo RT activated on my diagram, the arrow is broken.and I' ve got this message:

If I uncheck FIFO RT option for this variable the arrow isn't broken anymore.
I 've no idea how to correct this weird error?

Must the LR V5 Catalogue be installed in the HD where the OS X resides?

I just purchased LR V5 - and just finished the first tutorial on creating a catalog.
In this tutorial, the instructor suggests placing the catalog in the user's picture folder because "it is the preferred way", leaving room for the user to guess if it also could be stored in an external device, his/her "preferred way. I bring this up because I read on the web a catalog must be created on Mac's HD, as the app does not allow to reside in an external disk; I don't know if the writer of that warning was perhaps alluding to previous LR versions.
This is important to me because I want to relocate all my photos in an external drive, wanting to reclaim storage space on Mac's HD.
I will appreciate a clarification on this matter, and, if the Catalogue must be established in the HD where the OS X resides, is it possible to physically store the pictures in the external drive, or do the pictures and catalogue reside in the same volume (HD).

FLV files played by the Flash plugin are usually streamed and not saved to the hard drive.
They may be kept in the memory cache during the playing.

Where does the Document publisher used in Duet Entp. reporting reside.

I was reading on the architecture of Duet Enterprise reporting given in [this MSDN link|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg385205.aspx]. I wanted to know where the Document publisher and where the reports queue reside (SAP Backend or SCL) as explained in the diagrams in the above link.

In Trex where does the documents reside ?

We have Enterprise portal and use TREX for collaboration rooms and document indexing. EP is a java only Netweaver stack on AIX and TREX is on a window box. What I wanted to know is where do the actual documents, which TREX indexes reside?
Does Trex retain a copy of the indexed document? For a particular index where is the mapping of the actual document? Where can I look at all this data?

documents original location is transparent on KM, whether it is on a external repository or not doesn't matter,
for KM and TREX it is part of repository manager (configured at System Administration > System Configuration >
Knowledge Management > Content Managenement > Repository Managers).
Once a repository manager is activeted, there are several services running on top of it, eg.: subscription, rating,
etc. and other global services which affects every repository. Crawler service and Index Management are the
global services which will do indexing work
In fact TREX doesn't look for documents, the crawler is the component that retrieves the documents and
deliver for TREX. Have in mind that the crawler is part of KM, not TREX. It is active for every repository,
you can check on the monitor at System Administration > Monitoring

once documents are retrieved by the crawler and is at TREX hands, it will index normally, it uses
a file system based architecture, if you browse through TREX server you can find the indexes you have
created as folders and documents information inside. Be careful when checking at file system level, data
there is designed for TREX work only, it doesn't serve as backup and can't be considered for any
other functioning.
