Where do you go when no one can answer your question?

I have posted over 10 times the same question in various ways yet no one can answer in a way that works
"Have asked about an error I keep getting when trying to sync. ("* -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value" )No replies after asking 8 times so I surrender. Is there any way to erase all the entries (I have over 6000) and re upload? Right now .Mac only can delete up to 50 or 1 page at a time. Is there another way to delete the address book?

The advanced tab reset doesn't update the .mac server version so the only way seems to be delete 50 at a time out of 6500 entries. How can I do an old school overwrite without confusing the computers as to which is which machine?
Any place I can go from here?

I looked back at the message Austin cited, and if I understand what you've posted above, you're not correcting the underlying issue.
First, you have seriously corrupted Address Book records on your source computer. If you had replaced those corrupted records with what I assumed would have been the intact records from .Mac, you would likely have resolved the underlying problem. But, as I understand what you've posted above, you did the opposite: you replaced the records on .Mac with the corrupted records on your source computer. It's not clear that the .Mac record set is now corrupted, and it should not be, but—on the other hand—it might be.
For the record, you should not have been able to successfully replace the record set on .Mac with corrupted data: it should have transferred only intact and valid data, or failed in an attempt to transfer corrupted records. The problem here is that there is not a one-to-one correlation between the Address Book schema and the .Mac schema for contact information, so it may have successfully passed the good data common to both environments, and not attempted to pass what incidentally are corrupted components.
You may be able to locate and fix each reported record only by using a utility provided by John Morgan, called ABFinder II. Send a message to the address listed in my Public Profile, and I'll reply with a copy. That application will allow you to identify the person referred to as CE45BC4E-4423-11DB-94EC-00050271EFEF:ABPerson, for example. By looking at both the error message and that specific record, you can correct the data in the referenced filed in that record, or recreate the record and delete the original.
You cannot synchronize successfully via .Mac—particularly across both the Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4 mixed environment you have—until you either correct the underlying issue record by record, or do a wholesale replacement of the corrupted Address Book on your source computer from some other uncorrupted source: .Mac, a backup - something that does not contain the records with nil values.
The particular circumstances of your issue are complex, and really not at all clear. I cannot tell you how the initial corruption occurred on a record by record basis, or even how to avoid it in the future. If you hope to fix it, you'll have to be patient and attempt to do so record by record if no intact, uncorrupted copy of your contact record set is available. There is no quick fix to save the existing data.
And, Austin's right: there really is no one to talk to, though you could drag your source computer into an Apple Store and ask an Apple Genius to look at it, or go to an independent authorized dealer and ask someone familiar with such issues to look at it.     For the same report SQL script, if we run it from 'SQL*PLUS', the performance is OK. But if we run the same report from browser, the performance is very very bad. Say, it takes 2-3 seconds to run a report SQL in SQL*PLUS, but in browser it will take 10 minutes to get the report.
    For the same application and same oracle database, the performance in browser and SQL*PLUS are almost the same in Solaris. (hardware config is also the same)
    My question:
    1. Is that possible that we don't config the Oracle for Linux
    correctly? If so, what should we check?
    2. In our case, since it is related to SQL*NET, how can we check the config of SQL*NET is right?
    3. Is that possible that because of Linux or Oracle for Linux?
    4. Since we use JDBC, how can we check JDBC run OK or config correctly?

    It's probably the Java part that's causing the speed problems. You can prove this easily enough by including some time stamping debug information in your Java code .... i.e log the time before and after you run the select statement.

    No, your accounts will remain separate, any content that you download via either account will be tied to that account - so each account will only be able to authorise its own downloads on your computer's iTunes, redownload them, download updates to its apps, and make in-app purchases in its apps.
    Is there are particular reason why you've created a new account ? If it's due to, for example, no longer having access to your old email account then you can update the email address on an account by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and selecting 'view apple id' on the popup and logging into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes (click the Edit button to the right of your id at the top of your account's screen), or via http://appleid.apple.com . If you want to re-use the email address on the account that you've just created then you will need to change that first

    The download itself is free and is valid for 30 days only.  After that, the software ceases to work.
    CS4 is pretty old, no longer sold and no longer supported by Adobe.  It's also not compatible with many modern OSes.
    Why do you have to work with such an obsolete version of Photoshop?

    sorry, just getting a little frustrated... here is my original question:
    For one podcast I subscribe to -- the New England Patriots podcast "PFW in Progress" -- the time length of the podcast that appears in the iTunes library column "Time" is not the actual time length of the podcast when I listen to it. This causes problems when I pause the podcast, and then unpause it -- the playback resumes at a totally different place in the podcast. It is a pain because the podcast is several hours long, and when I resume playback, it often starts up again at a place 20-30 minutes from where I paused it, and I have to spend some time trying to find the original point at which I paused it. Any ideas? Go Pats!!!

    Of course there are millions of iPod and iTunes users. and of course many of them want to back up their music, Reformat the same PC and pu the music they bought and legaly on Back onto the same PC.
    I can't be the first person in iPod history to re-format.
    So do I De-Authorize my PC "Before" or "After" I burn a Back up CD.

    Well....You can Use iTunes for Backing up your Music, but I do not favor this mehtod.
    It works fine for music files BUT: I prefer more control and completeness over my backup process. It is also very important to note that a large limitation of using iTunes to manage the backup is that the iTunes method does not create or maintain backups of the two meta-data files (iTunes Library.itl & iTunes Music Library.xml) where your Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, etc. are stored. See: What are the iTunes Library files?
    If you are heavily invested in your Library data (Playlists, Play Counts, Ratings, Last Played, Date Added, etc.), it is crucial that you also make and archive multiple backups of your ‘iTunes Library.itl’ file.
    If your music is located under one common Folder (e.g.-‘iTunes’), then it is easiest to physically copy that folder and all its sub-folders in one simple process. It can be done quickly, and incrementally – several times a day, when necessary. In the case of any data loss, just re-copy your entire (or partial) music library back to wherever it was, placing it in the main Folder that the previous iTunes expected. Along with the ‘iTunes Library.itl’ metadata file, this completes a full ‘restore’ of your music to the time of your last backup.
    Use of a backup software program will greatly help. It will allow you to easily perform incremental backups of only the files that have changed. WinXP has such a facility built-in. I use a free program called FileSync ( http://www.fileware.com ). There are many out there. Some use Zipped files or proprietary formats, others use standard file formats. I like FileSync as it uses normal file formats that can be viewed/managed via any Windows program or utility.
    iTunes Files to Backup (anytime you make additions or changes to the Music or Library that you want to retain)
    1) All music files in their current folder structure (usually located in and under the ‘iTunes Music’ folder)
    2) The Library database file: ‘iTunes Library.itl’ located in the ‘iTunes’ folder
    3) The Library XML file: ‘iTunes Music Library.xml’ located in the ‘iTunes’ folder
    4) Any XML playlist files you created for Playlist retention
    5) The two iTunes.pref files (optional)
    -- C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
    -- C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer Inc\iTunes.pref
    6) The XML file of Ratings, Play Counts and Last Played attributes saved from the main Library and created by Otto’s SaveRatings script (also optional, but recommended):

Voila, all your information is back in the Library. Well, most of it anyway, it's not perfect. It'll tell you what songs it couldn't figure out though, and there's usually not very many.”
    Here's a list of possible ways to copy your music files from your main iTunes computer to another storage medium for backup purposes.
    1) Use an External Hard Drive to store the complete iTunes meta-data files and underlying Music Folder structure and songs from your main computer. They are quite cheap now, for their storage volume. This is my preferred main medium.
    2) If you have Two Computers:
    2a) Connect them through a router
    2b) Connect them using a Direct (w/Mac) or Crossover (PC/PC) Ethernet cable (See: http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/3001.html)
    2c) Connect them via a USB-to-USB Network Bridge. See: here as an example.
    Copy the files and folders from one computer to the other. Use the second PC as your backup repository.
    3) Burn several DVDs (at 4.7+ GBs each) with the music data files and store them safely. Re-writable ones are good for backup purposes (if your DVD drive can manage these).
    4) Burn 6x more on CDs (at 700MB each) than in #3 above and store them safely in more space Re-writable ones are good for backup purposes (if your CD drive can manage these).
    5) Use a larger USB Flash drive (1GB – 4+GBs) to store the files only if you have a small amount ripped music or have multiple and/or jumbo USB drives at your disposal that will fit your music library.
    6) Use the Second Internal Hard Drive (if available) of your PC -- not optimum, as you really want to physically separate the storage of backups from the originals, but good as a tertiary storage device.
    By keeping only one copy of your music (other than on the iPod), you are not truly 'backed-up' and are running a high risk of losing your music. Music files on just the iPod and the computer is not considered having any backup. If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer’s internal HD, then create and maintain at least two external sets (any multiple combinations of ExHDs, DVDs, CDs).
    You need at least two full sets of your music, not including what is on the iPod:
    -- One full set on the PC within iTunes (on internal HD or ExHD)
    -- One full set on an separate external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
    -- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
    It is a good policy to backup all your important data. It is a very smart policy to back it up on more than one medium.
    External hard drives now run less than $100 for 200-250GBs of storage. Very cheap backup insurance, indeed. See This Link

    Ill break it down for you so you can understand the purpose of each part and why its there.
    1 Goto 3 if (GPRM 1 = 0)
    2 Goto 5 if (GPRM 1 != 0)
    3 mov GPRM 1, 1
    4 Jump Track 1 (insert your track name here)
    5 mov GPRM 1, 0
    6 Resume
    There you go, now for the dissection:
    1 Goto 3 if (GPRM 1 = 0) This basically says, if the value of GPRM 1 is equal to 0, then jump to line 3 in the code, if the value of GPRM 1 is not equal to 0, go to the next line. Since the value of GPRM 1 will always be 0 when you first play the DVD, it will always jump to line 2 the first time around.
    2 GoTo 5 if (GPRM 1 != 0) This is saying if GPRM 1 is not equal to 0, go down to line 5 of the script.
    3 mov GPRM 1, 1 This is what is executed after line 1 if in the first line, GPRM is equal to 0, this is now taking GPRM and adding a value of 1 to it.
    4 jump track 1 After GPRM has a value of 1 added to it, it is going to jump to your track and start playing at the beginning of the track, just as a normal PLAY MOVIE button would do.
    5 mov GPRM 1,0 This is resetting GPRM 1 back to zero for the next time around. This is where the script jumps to after you have returned to the menu, if you remember in the first part, the script reads the value of GPRM 1, since on a return to the menu, GPRM 1 now has a value of 1, meaning that in line 2, GPRM is not equal to 0, and it will jump to line 5 in the code. after executing this and resetting GPRM to 0, it will jump to the following line:
    6 Resume. Your track will resume to where ever you left off before coming to the menu. viola, your now neck and neck with the big boys.
    Hope this works, I tested it out and it worked for me. You can email me if you want and I will send you the actual script that I saved. It is important to remember that you need to set this as a pre-script on the track you want it to effect.

    I have a problem with Quicktime (7.3). When I try to run the program I have the following error message:

    A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrpted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated"
    It happened suddenly without installing anything. I've tryed uninstalling and installing again but the error still shows up.
    No one seems to know anything about this problem including the almighty apple. What do I do now?
