Where do you see printer que?

Hello , am recent mac convert, go an HP photosmart C3180 with my mac pro. I am trying to find the printer que so that i can cancel some printing jobs. On a PC I could rt click on the printer icon and delete pending jobs. Whats the best way for a mac?

Where can you see the size of your image?

Hi all,
For contests and such, I need to know the size of my images. I don't know where the size--in inches--displays in LR, so I always have to export to Photoshop to see what the size of the image is at different resolutions (240ppi, 300ppi, 600ppi). There must be a way, can anyone fill me in?

Yes, but that does not mean that images on your computer (your hard drive) have a dimension in inches. The size in inches is determined on output for printing and varies according to the resolution that you choose for the print. For instance if you have an image with a pixel size of 2000 x 3000 pixels - if you print it at a resolution of 300 ppi / dpi the image size in inches will be 6.66" x 10". If you print it with a resolutin of 200 ppi / dpi the size in inches will be 10" x 15"; and if you print it with a resolution of 100 ppi / dpi the size will be 20" x 30". Of course, a print resolution of 100 ppi / dpi is only theoretical, because the quality of the print will be awful, and if you want to print an image of 2000 x 3000 ppi in a size of 20' x 30' you have to upsample (enlarge) it first.
So size of an image in inches is detyermind by the formula: pixel amount / resolution in ppi/dpi.
ppi = pixels per inch - ppi is used when we talk about an image on screen
dpi = dots per inch - dpi is used when we talk about print output.

Why, do you say that? Printing from LR is not substantially different than printing from Photoshop. LR gives you the same printing options as does Photoshop.
I suggest you have a second look at the Print Module in LR.

I am struggling to find which phone this profile is logged into?
I cannot look at the back of the phone for the mac as I am remote - but unable to see where you find this?

Go to Device/Phones in CCMAdmin.
To the right of the screen just below the drop-down menus there is an 'Actively Logged In Device Report' - click 'Go' next to that.
You can then use the find criteria to search by directory number, profile name etc.

Where can you see the time of the movie

Hello to you all, i have a question about Imovie 11. A friend send me 3 small video's from his phone, with a description wich fragments to use.
Example: Movie 1: from 00.00.35 - 00:01:27 and from 00:02.40 - 00:002.49, etc.
But I don't see a timeline? I can't see where I am in the movie.
I need to select fragments based on time, it would seem to me that this is really basic functionality?

Hmm, it works for the project, but not in the library, then you just get the title of the date and time the video has been imported. (And that is the place where I would like to see the original time changing)
If I use the information in the project, I can't cut several pieces of time, because than the time of the second fragment wouldn't be right anymore..

Where do you see the checkbox?

I read a couple threads as well as Tim's blog about adding a checkbox and uploading the font file....I have followed these instructions but when I preview in Word I still see the diamonds. Will I only be able to see the checkbox in EBS?

Rob, its me again,
when you say, in desktop, there is a configuration file, where you got to say use this font .
you missed that step in Desktop. if you have done that , you would have been able to see the check box, not only check box, what ever character you want to display if that is true.
In EBS , you will be able to see that correclty, if you have uploaded the font and you have specified that in the configuration.
refer the documentation.

Where can you see discount movies of the week listed?

supposedly these are already available in Canada but i can't see where the discounted movies are listed.

thanks... i see this on the US site but not on Canadian site. This is supposed to exist on the Canadian site as well. on the US site Ghost is the 99 cent movie but this movie is 3.99 in Canada?
maybe it hasn't come to Canada yet? an article i read said that it was already in US & Canada and was now coming to the UK... maybe the article was in error.

When you open a mac pdf file in Acrobat 9.5 and add pages where can you see the new file size?

This isn't known until you actually save the file. The size will also depend on how you save.
File > Save - always bigger, nothing ever deleted
File > Save as - dead stuff removed
File > Save as with Fast Web View (may be default) - duplicate backgrouds combined, but extra information added for web view
So, save it, then use command+D to get info.

Where's print que

My G4 Powerbook keeps losing track of its printers. While the print setup utility shows none installed, and every time I try to add one it provides an error message.
A secondary problem to this is that the last file I printed must still be stuck in a print que and I can't find it to remove it. Whenever I turn on a printer, it prints this multi-page file.
Compound question:
1. How do I clean out the print que (hopefully, it doesn't involve the setup utility)
2. How do I keep my computer from losing the printer installations?
I hope the answer does not involve upgrading the OS.

Hi,
Let's try something here: Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax > Setup Printers. Now you should be in your "Printer List". Are any Printers showing? If so, you can "Single-Click" to get Info on it (upper right "i"), and "Double-Click" to get to the 'Printer Queue", where you can see if any jobs are waiting/stopped. If you have more then one entry, which one(s) are "Checked"? Are they valid? Also, you can "Single-click" any one(s) and then click "Make Default", this will lock it in (it will not get lost like you say yours are). Make sure they have the box checked too, then they will show up when you click Print from within a program... If you have only ONE Printer, Only ONE should be checked and Made Default (the valid one).
Let us know what you find there...

The short answer is that you'll put the source clip(s) for each inset on a different video track, all stacked up. Then use the Scale and Position effects (under "Motion" on the Effect Controls panel) to reduce their size and place them where you want.
If the content of an inset will involve edited content (where you're cutting among various clips or just trimming out unwanted content from a single clip), then you'll probably find it easier to do all those edits in one sequence, then nest that sequence in the master sequence, where you apply the Scale and Positioning effects. That will save the step of applying the scale and position effects to each edited track item.
