In ArchiveLink.
There is a content repository defined for documents and files are stored in tables defined in those repositories.
Usually table for HR documents is SDOKCONT1.
Check Tcode OAC0.

  • BI Document Store and SAP Analytics

    Hi,
<b>Requirement:</b> Store text in BI system which was entered through visual composer text control.
<b>Background:</b> I’m trying to store some text in BI system through “CL_RSOD_DOC->SAVE”. Text written in visual composer text editor and being passed to the class method “Save” through bespoke BAPI “Z_BAPI_BI_DOC_WRITE”. FYI, this BAPI is created through a how-to document “Integrate BI Document Store and SAP Analytics Applications” by SAP itself.
<b>Problem:</b> Text editor has the ability to format text as paragraphs and tab spaces but when the entered text is retrieved, it comes as a single line; i.e. all the carriage returns are truncated and data retrieved in form of string.
<b>Possible Cause:</b> Data being passed to method “Save” is through interface field type “String”, which is then considered as plain text without any formatting. But keep in consideration that receiving parameter of method “Save” also has type “String”, so changing interface in outer function won’t work.
Can you please suggest any possible resolution of the problem? I want to display the data as it was entered, i.e. with carriage returns, etc.
    Regards,
    Shabbar

    Hi Alessandro,
which service do you need? Did you create all the services, which are described in the document? Also check if your function module is remote-enabled, only then you have access to it from Visual Composer.

    Hi,
LSMW - Helps to transfer data from legacy system to SAP either one time or periodically.
    Steps -
    1. Import data (legacy data in spreadsheet tables and/or sequential files)
    2. Convert data (from source format to target format)
    3. Import data (into the database of the SAP application)
    a. Maintain Structure relations, field mapping and conversion rules.
    b. Data from legacy system is read
    c. Based on step a, the data gets converted
    d. The converted data is imported to R/3 system based onBatch input processing or Direct Input or through IDOC Inbound processing

  • How to... Integrate BI Document Store and SAP Analytics Applications

Currently we are trying to implement the how to document mentioned above.
What we are trying to realize is to implement a textbox functionality in a SAP BI dashboard. The how to is written in 2006 for SAP EP SP8. We are using now SP16 and the whole part where you define the correct webservice paragraph 3.6 of the document isn't functioning correctly.
Can anyone help me on this topic...? Is there a new How to document that works with SP16...?
With Kind regards and thanks for your help,
    Pepijn Simonetti

Seem to have fixed the problem.
By adding a filter before the table view it seems to allow a slight delay which allows the file types to load and the IF statements run correctly and display the correct images for the various file types.
Still seems that there is a slight Visual Composer Issue there? (but now with a work-around)

  • Document store access caused errors in the SAP Correction System

    Hi Gurus,
I have this user who is trying to make changes to a workbook in DEV which is published to a folder with some users who are assigned to role. This user is the only user with Developer 2 role. When the user make changes and try to save the workbook to her role or favorites so that the changes are transported to BWP, the user is getting "Document store access caused errors in the SAP Correction System".
Do we have any suggestions/solutions, I would really appreciate any help on this.I would also assign full points for the most helpful answer.

I have exactly the same problem with the user who is trying to save the workbook, where he made minor change.
    Any clues?
    Thank you.

  • Document stores in both SAP database and Content Server

    Hi,
We don't want to store doc. in SAP database and chose to use content server. We have KPro checked in configuration also.
Our basis team has created a content repository ZP that points to the content server, in the document area.. they enter "ARCHLINK" instead of DMS. So they told me to create doc. and pick this new ZP to store the doc. But we I created a doc. in CV01N, went to check in the original, the new repository ZP is not on the list of choice to pick from. So I cannot store the doc. in that new content repository.
Our basis team told me that if we use DMS in the document area, the doc. stores in both SAP database and Content Server. We don't want to have doc. stores in SAP database that's why we have content server.
How can I create DMS and store in content server only (not SAP database) ?
    Thank you,
    Sam Schwartzberg

    Hi Samantha,
While check-in activity are you able to choose the new content repository i.e. ZP?
If not then use t-code OAC0 and while creating the repository check whether the certificate is activated by basis or not .
If not then you need to activate the certificate for the new repositoty in CSADMIN then only it will appear in the list while "check-in" the dcouments.
Please check for the same. Also check the t-code OACT , this new repository is shown or not.
I hope this will resolve the query.

  • Document attachment in SAP

    Hello Everybody ,
We are hainvg SAP on DB2 and AS/400
I have a quesetion regarding attachmenet done in SAP .
    1. Where the documents are stored in SAP ?
    2. Are all documents are stored in single file or database table ?
    3. How can we delete them ?
    Thanks in Advance .
    Dhaval Raje

    Hi Dhaval,
Have a look at SAP Note 530792 (Storing documents in the generic object services).  It describes where documents are stored when stored in the database by Generic Object Services (GOS).  SAP Note 491271 (Authorizations for generic object services) describes how to control authority to storing documents in the database.
Your SAP license includes the SAP Content Server so you have the ability to store attachments in an external system without much additional cost.  The downside of the SAP Content Server is that it doesn't run on OS/400 so you have to have a Windows or *nix server in your landscape.  Backup coordination also becomes an issue when you store the documents on a separate server.  We FTP the Content Server backup file to the iSeries so it is included on our iSeries backup.  This allows us to keep documents out of the operational database, but provides us with a common backup for recovery purposes.  We're currently running the SAP Content Server on Windows, but may consider a Linux partition in the future.

  • Uploading document in to SAP R/3 through Portal

We are in SAP EP5 SP5. Our requirement is to upload a document from the user into SAP.
Is there anyway we could do this.
We just have Portal Platform, no KM and Unification.
Is there any standard Iview from SAP EP which allows us to upload the document in to SAP.
Expecting your thoughts on the same.

  • Workbook does not exist in document store

    Hi All,
I have transported a workbook by selecting Role with "only necessry objects" then selected only my workbook, that transport was successful.
My Role has different folders, this workbook is part of one of the folder.when this transport went through it messed up other workbooks in that folder. when i try to run other workbooks in that folder it says " workbook does not exist in document store"
Can anybody explain me why is it sayin so, do i need to select all workbooks in that folder when i transport??
    Thanks in advance.
    Robyn.

    Hi Robyn.
Sounds VERY like the issue we have to manage carefully, where an old transport has gone through, and undone the impact of a later transport - could that be the problem? If so, I will explain how we have set up a process to enable us to manage it, cos there are times when we have had up to 6 different workbooks going through in parallel, each with a role transport, and ensuring that the older ones dont undo the effect of the newer ones was nearly impossible!

  • Advantages of third party Document Management vs SAP

We have had the IXOS product installed for a long period of time to store our SAP related documents such as drawings, POs, Invoices.  We also use IXOS to store our SAP archived data thru the SAP archivelink interface.  Due to cost and support issues, we are looking to replace IXOS.  The big question that keeps coming up is whether we actually need a third party product any longer or can SAP's content server and DMS handle the same items.  Our CIO continues to ask why do we need IXOS.  Unfortunately, I do not know enough about what SAP has in this area now to give him a definite answer.  Any input on this would be greater appreciated.

This is quite a good link...

I am working on ECC 6.0.
Any pointers to receive an email attachment, store in SAP & link to PO would be great.

  • Problem linking ADS calls to another document store

    Hi all
I have a ABAP only ECC 6.0 system. For the sap GTS (and other application) I have to use the Adobe Document Services.
I configured the ADS in our Solution Manager system (because on my ECC system I have no Java Stack and then of course no Adobe Document Services). Then I linked the ADS RFC Connection in my ECC system to Solution Manager (with the ADS). All tests worked fine (on both systems).
Then I tried to call a form over a GTS transaction.
I received the error message: Problem accessing data from Destination dest: FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>//sap/bc/fp/form/layout/=/SAPSLL/FP_TNX.XDP?fp-language....
The solution for that obvious. In the Solution Manager the SAPSLL/PF_TNS form was missing because the SAP_SLL addon (which contains all SAPSLL forms) in the Solution Manager  was of course not installed. I installed the SAPSLL Addon and everything worked.
My question now is the following:
How can I change the ADS that it searchs the forms in the calling "ABAP"-system (here the "ABAP"-only ECC system) and not in his own "document store".
I tried to find something in  transaction SFP but without success.
Could someone please help me with this issue?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards
    Marco

    Hi Marco,
you need to configure Destination Service. You can find it in [Configuration Guide for SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe  |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30a9630b-4f89-2a10-6fab-e311b3ffd9a6] , the page 14 (ABAP stack) and the page 28 (Java stack).

  • Where to store customized modelsupport2 and reportgen*.seq files

We currently put all customized model and front end sequences under c:\Documents and Settings\...\TestStand 4.1\Models etc. We have since customized modelsupport2.* and reportgen*.seq files found in Program Files\NI\TestStand 4.1\Components\Models\TestStandModels. Question is where to store these customized files. There is an assortment of subfolders under Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\NI\TestStand 4.1.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

What version of Windows do you have?
The file structure in All Users\Documents\NI\TestStand 4.1 should be similar to that in Program Files\NI\TestStand 4.1.  Essentially they are equal.  The key is TestStand looks in the All Users Directory first.  If it doesn't find it there then it goes into the Program Files one.  You can verify this by opening your search directories (Configure>>Search Directories).  Look for a item in the list called Public components directory.  Look at the path for that.  The very next entry should be TestStand components directory.  Look at the path for that.  They both have Subdirs checked.  If you were to switch those around (meaning TestStand components directory before Public components directory) then TestStand would grab the default files and not the ones you modified.
So you should put modelsupport2 in Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\NI\TestStand 4.1\Components\Models\TestStandModels\modelsupport2.*
reportgen*.seq should go in the same folder.
If those folders don't exist then create them.  You can probably get away without creating them and just placing it all in the base dir (Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\NI\TestStand 4.1) but I recommend structuring it the same so you don't get confused and it has the same look and feel.
    Hope this helps!
