Where does a project go when its finalize

I finiizle a project and now i cant find it anywhere !

Finalize will Share a project in all available sizes and place it in the Media Browser. You can access the Media Browser in other apps, like iDVD, GarageBand, Keynote, Pages, Powerpoint, etc.
The Media Browser copy also enables the SHARE menu to work very quickly. If you have already finalized, then SHARE TO iTunes happens almost instantly, and Share to YouTube starts right away.
You do not have to Finalize. You can always use the SHARE menu and just pick the sizes you need.
Physically, you can find the Finalized copies inside the Project files. Go to the iMovie Projects folder in the Finder and right-click on the RCPROJECT file for your project. Select SHOW PACKAGE CONTENTS and navigate to the Movies folder within the package. Just be sure not to touch anything else so you don't risk corrupting your project.

Where does EXS24 put its samples normally on the Mac?

What will probably work is to refresh the Spotlight index.

Note: after step 5, it can sometimes take up to a minute before indexing starts. Be patient, wait untill the whole process is finished before starting up Logic. You can check the progress by clicking the Spotlight icon (magnifying glass) top right of your screen

  • HT1926 Where does iTunesSetup.exe go when I save it?

I have repeatedly tried to download iTunesSetup.exe so that I can install an update of iTunes.  Everytime I save it, no matter what the location, it does not appear there.  I have set the view to show hidden files, but it still does not appear.  Where does the file go?

Have you looked in your Downloads folder?

  • Where does iphoto place photos when imported

I have been importing photos of a recent trip and need to move them off the hard drive to save space. Where does iPhoto put them and can I access them from an external drive within iPhoto?
    thanks
    Shelley

By default they are copied to the iPhoto library - but you do not touch them there
you can run iPhoto off of and external drive -
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive
After doing this you can delete some photos from the old library instead of deleting the whole library (deleting and emptying the iPhoto trash  and the system trash every 100 or so photos ) so you have some of your photos on your main drive and all of them on the external drive - switch libraries using the command-lanch
If you do this you will find iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ -  very helpful in managing the multiple libraries

  • Where does the svc system get its infos from?

The longer I work with Solaris 10, the more I dread this awful "services" construction and its unwieldy administration.
I have a newly setup machine with two zones, one created right after the other, meaning they should be identical.
/usr is, as usual, lofs'ed into both zones, and contains a /usr/local/samba dir with a handcompiled 3.0.30 release.
I have not created any manifests as I intended to simply delete the 'onboard' samba service and start the new version
    via the classical init script.
I boot both zones.. and one starts "/usr/local/samba/smbd -D -f /etc/smb.conf", and the other starts (or tries to) "/usr/sfw/sbin/smbd -D".
I inspected the manifest xmls for the network/samba service, and in both zones the entry lists /usr/sfw as start method.
svccfg listprop network/samba also reports /usr/sfw for both zones.
Where did the one zone get the info to start the /usr/local samba installation, and where did it get the (correct) conf file parameter?
Why does svccfg report a different startup method property than it really runs on svcadm enable?
I have grepped through all of /lib/svc, /etc/svc and /var/svc and nowhere is any reference to the /usr/local file nor the conf parameters.
Swapping the svc repository.db file between both zones also swaps the problem around - so it must be somewhere in there,
but as it's no longer a human readable file, I'm out of luck there. How did the /usr/local path and parameters get into that DB file?
Does the service system search the filesystem for known daemon binary names and other guesswork? And if it does such voodoo,
why didn't it do the same in the other identical zone?
rant Did we really need to get this svc "feature"? Until now I have seen no advantage from it, and only incurred a huge load of inconvenience,
be it the additional work of creating manifests for new services or debugging problems that I never had in a decade or two of init script usage.
We have all seen for many years how well this registry/service stuff worked on Windows..*/rant*

    What do you get for:
svcprop -p start/exec network/samba:defaultThat should display the start string it uses.
Where did the one zone get the info to start the /usr/local samba installation, and where did it get the (correct) conf file parameter?I can only assume that some program inserted that string into the service. As you said, it's not in the manifest, so it didn't come from there.

For starting a single job, you won't see the benefits as much.
Of course, the milestone services still run startup scripts out of /etc/rc[S23].d, so those are perfectly valid places to run a startup script.

  • TS3988 where does iCloud Control Panel keep its error logs

I have a problem with my iCloud control Panel.
There is a small yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, indicating there is some sort of error, but there is absolutely no way of finding out what the error is. I have looked everywhere on my system for anything resembling  an error log for iCloud Control Panel yet i havent found a thing.
Does anyone here know where it might be located and how i can find out what the error is to fix it

Hi, Korgun. Your short version is a little too short and your long version much too complicated for me to be certain I understand your situation correctly, but I'll take a shot.
Every volume (a hard drive, or a partition on a hard drive, or a CD, DVD, etc.) that has OS 9 installed on it contains an invisible Desktop Folder, and in that folder are all the items that appear on the desktop when you boot into OS 9, except your hard drive and the Trash.
The fact that you can't boot to either OS on your old drive suggests that its directory may be damaged, in which case it wouldn't be surprising if, in addition to being unable to boot to it, you also couldn't find some things on it. If that drive mounts normally on the desktop when you boot into OS X on the other drive, use the Repair Disk function in Disk Utility (open the copy of DU on the good drive after making sure nothing is running on the bad one) to try to fix the directory on the bad drive. Run the Repair Disk routine repeatedly until you've gotten two successive "Appears OK" verdicts. Assuming DU is successful, you should then be able to double-click the Desktop folder on the repaired drive and access all the files that are on that drive's OS 9 desktop.
If I've misunderstood your situation, my apologies, and would you please try to clarify matters?

  • Apple should make something where you can enter your apple devices serial number and find where it is so that when its lost or stolen it can be retrieved easily, the only negative i can think of is people can be injured. Then again thers always lawyers

My i pod touch was stolen about a week ago. Ive been looking for ways to find it and its been pretty hopless. I have owned 7 i pods in the last 5 years and they have all been stolen, I guess you could say im pretty unresponsiblle but I prefer to call it unfortunate. There should be some type of website where you can just type the serial # of your i pod and it could use google maps or something the track it down. I mean what age are we in, I'm sure if cars can drive them selves there should be no problem to construct an i pod traking app. I dont thing lawsuits are a good excuse either. America has the best justice system in the world and i dont think they be to agaist my idea. And if media were on our sides then CNN would on it like whie on rice. there word is very persuasive to people all over the world and everyone watches it. i know I'm just venting but something needs to be done to end the madness! I dont wana buy another I pod. i wana buy accessories for my i pod.

Apple provides the Find My feature through iCloud for those that want to take advantage of it.  But to go further would most likely create invasion of privacy issues and raise legal concerns for Apple.  Only police have the statory authority to track and that requires court orders.  This comes up repeatedly when users loose objects, but Apple continues to say they do not track or attempt to find the lost objects.

  • Where does the html source when using paramform=html generated from?

I have changed my server name and I have found that when I have paramform=yes or html in the url for the report, the html source of the paramform that is displayed uses the old server name.
Does anyone know where the paramform is generated from, or is it just a template?
If the report does not require any parameters and I have paramform=no in the url, then it works correctly.

Go to TextEdit preferences and set everything to Plain Text instead of Rich Text and make sure you check the box for "ignore rich text commands in html files".

  • Where does all itunes go when it says cannot locate??? as i cannot find my whole itunes files?? please help

Hi all. hope theirs someone out there can help,,,
I've basically changed laptop, have removed itunes from one and installed itunes on new........
now i can view my library but can only play 89 (latest tracks) out of 1400??
The message to locate tracks leads to the 89?
Where and how do I retrieve my music.
    Please help

This happens if the files are no longer where iTunes expects to find them. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the files, or that the drive they live on has had a change of drive letter, or is disconnected. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a single track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions. I can provide a step by step guide if you give me the two paths.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.
Or if you still have the library on the older computer see this migrate iTunes library post, in particular the link to  make a split library portable.

  • Where does my question go when I post?

I see it in the "my questions" right menu item - but it's not in the topic list.

I would answer this, but it's not here! (;>)
Seems like you're doing ok to me. Maybe you noticed the lag while it synchs up to the board.

  • Where does Bluetooth Diagnostics Utility put its output?

I just ran the bluetooth diagnostics utility to diagnose the burst of loud static, and managed to catch it at perfectly the right spot. I followed all the on-screen instructions, let it collect information about my computer, waited while it filled in the entire progress bar, it said it was finished, and I clicked "continue."
And nothing happened. At all. I clicked it a number of more times, but at no point was I asked to select where to save a file, or told it was done. Nor did a file ever show up on the desktop, which is where I expected it to put the output.
    Where should I look?

Never mind. Finally find it under my user directory. Funny that it never told me where it was putting anything or THAT it was putting something or that it was DONE putting something somewhere.

  • Where does app.documents.add() get its document profile from?

It has a set of defaults listed in the scripting reference, I understand that much. but a new doc (without specifying anything else) also contains swatches/symbols/brushes etc. that don't seem to match any existing doc profile. Where is it fishing these from?

I tried various scenarios and documents.add() always matched the Print Profile, which happens to be the first in the list.

  • Where does iTunes  calendar sync get its info data  from?

Does it get it from one source? for example, I see a birthday in iCal, but it does not want to appear on my iPhone, and I can't figure out why that should happen. I keep looking for a source of data that might not jive , like looking in Entourage address book or looking in Apples Address book. Both those sources have the correct information. I normally use Entourage as my mail program. Bottom line, my question seems to come back to what data source does the iphone/itunes interface use for Calendar sync, or for that matter, contacts, and mail?

It syncs to the program that you selected.
