Where does info changed in iTunes get stored?

I have some old videos converted to mp4 for ipad playback.
I import into iTunes, and then change the file i.d. type from "home video" (no idea why iTunes labelled it thus) to "TV show"
I then add season and episode numbers, as a form of cataloguing/sorting.
Question:  does that changed info get imprinted onto the mp4 file, in so much that if my wife then imports the file into her ipad, the new sorting/season/episode info sticks,
OR,
do these changed bits of identification only exist within the copy of iTunes where the changes were made (ie my desktop PC).

Agreed, it is worthwhile confirming things for yourself. Most metadata will be stored in the tag, assuming that the file type supports it and one has been created. Notable exceptions are .wav files which don't support a tag at all and the properties media kind, rating, play & skip counts, and dates added, played & skipped. Since media kind isn't embedded in the tag this is inferred from file type. Video files are treated as Home Videos, mp3 audiobooks are treated as Music, PDF digital booklets are treated as Books etc.

    Hi,
    this is the content of the oss note (hope it helps):
    Symptom
    Where are the documents that you can create and display using the generic object services (System -> Connections or System -> 'Services for the object') physically stored?
    Solution
    Storing attachments using generic services
    The generic object services offer a separate option via the 'Copy desktop document', 'Connect Internet address (URL)' and 'Create a note' services to add an attachment to a business document.As of Release 4.6C, these services are called 'Create attachment', 'Create an external document (URL)' and 'Create a note'.
    These services should enable the end user to easily enter attachments without document characters (memos).Correspondingly, there is no archiving concept for this type of attachment.
    Technically speaking, notes, PC attachments and URLs are treated as SAPoffice documents and result in corresponding entries in the SOOD and SOFM tables. The contents of the attachments are stored in the SOC3 table.As of Release 4.6B, the contents of PC attachments are stored using the Knowledge Provider (KPro).The KPro allows you to connect an external storage system so that the contents of the PC attachments no longer place a burden on the database. If an external storage system is not connected, the contents of the PC attachments are written to the SOFFCONT1 table as of Release 4.6B.The administrative information necessary to locate the document in the Kpro is in the SOC3 table.
    The content of notes and URLs continues to be stored in the SOC3 table.As these documents are usually small, the additional effort involved in storing them in the KPro is not justified.
    If the PC attachments are not to be stored in the SOFFCONT1 table, you must assign a category to the SOFFPHIO document class using transaction SKPR08. The category is created in transaction OACT and refers to a repository on a HTTP content server. If documents that have already been stored are to be moved to the content server, see note 389366.
    For more information on connecting an external Content Server, see the online documentation for the SAP Knowledge Provider or the information available in the help portal under Basis -> Basis Services -> Business Workplace -> Administration of... -> Information on Documents... -> Configuring an HTTP Content Server for Documents.
    The relationship between the attachments and the business documents is provided via the Object Relationship Service.
    Defining attachments using the archive link
    If an optical archive was connected using the archive link and the corresponding settings for the document type were maintained for the object types of a business document, documents can be stored in the Content Repository, directly from the PC, via the 'Establish relationships for the stored document' or 'Store the business document' service.
    In addition, refer to the online documentation for more information on configuring the archive link.
    Best regards.

  • Where is the changed Job Offer Letter stored?

    I am changing the text of Smartform for Job Offer in portal. Once the text is added i am able to send the new version of Job Offer to email. But my requirement is to get the new Job Offer Letter and store it in an archiving system
    I am not sure if the new Smartforms gets stored somewhere SAP database tables. If it does how do i get it?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Even i am not very sure where exactly it gets stored. but i can give u a direction to check out classes
    starting with cl_hrrcf_* and ending with bl i.e. cl_hrrcf_*_bl in tcode se24.
    Here you will find some classes related to activities where you will be able to retreive the letters.
    Also go to infotype 5136 i.e. in se11 check hrp5136 and see if there are any entries
    In this infotype, the following data is stored for an activity of the Simple Correspondence category:
    ●      Activity Type
    ●      Global Key for Activities
    ●      Activity Status
    ●      Due Date
    ●      Type of Related Object (user who created the activity)
    ●      ID of Related Object (user who created the activity)
    ●      Note for Activity (points to a text in the document storage for HR objects)
    ●      Activity Category (Simple Correspondence)
    ●      Completion Date (date on which the activity was completed)
    ●      User Name (user who executed the activity)
    ●      Process (to which the activity for the Simple Correspondence category is assigned)
    ●      Subarea of SAP E-Recruiting (Recruitment)
    ●      Object ID of Talent Group
    ●      Time Stamp of Last Change
    ●      Form (indicates the form used as the template for the correspondence)
    ●      Individual Letter for the activity (points to a text in the document storage for HR objects)
    ●      Individual letter section for the activity (points to a text in the document storage for HR objects)
    see the entry which i have made it bold if this helps. HR_KW is the document storage object used for HR and HR_CONT is the content repository, this letter will sit somewhere in the application server of the E-rec system.

  • Where does Snow Leopard store iTunes Music

    Greetings,
    I wanted to get a clean start for my iTunes Library.
    First, I deleted my iTunes folder in Documents into the trash and then emptied the Trash. Second, I deleted the iTunes app.
    I went to iTunes and downloaded a new iTunes application. After it was installed the entire iTunes music library was there when I opened my new download of the iTunes Application.
    Where did it come from if I deleted my iTunes folder thinking I was deleting all of my downloaded songs?
    So my question is where does Snow Leopard store these songs? I assumed they would be gone so I could begin to put in new albums in my iTunes.
    Thanks in advance for your help and support.
    Leigh

    You can find out or change where the actual songs are by opening iTunes/Preferences/Advanced (I'm still on iTunes 8 so I apologize if your menu looks different). Click my link below. The yellow highlight is mine.

  • Where does the "Submit Form" button get created and how can I change the associated email address?

    I've created a pdf form using Adobe Live Cycle ES 8.2 and it has been working fine.  Now I need to change the email address it gets sent to when the user clicks on the "Submit Form" button.
    How can I change this email address?
    Thank you in advance

    Yes, that is correct.
    I did not manually add this button, so I am assuming it was somehow automatically created.
    It worked great up until now that I need to change the "To:" email address.
    I've look through the XML code associated this this email address and changed it every where I could find it, but it still hasn't changed my results.  So, I have no idea how to change this and as stated above, if I create a new form it automatically sets it up to be sent to the wrong email address.  Not sure why or how to change it?
    Let me know if you need further info to help me out.
    Thanks again

  • Where does the purchase from iTune stored ?

    I have a Desktop, my wife has a Mac Book Air & a iPad, My son & daughter has a iPod Touch & a iPod each.
    My children are less than 12 yrs old and do not own iTune account nor my wife.
    I have an iTune account and tethered to my credit card to purchase.
    I have never bought music from iTune [My purchase history is for hardware-MBA,iPod Touch ect]
    What happens when I purchase a music track through my iTune account? [My Wife wants to know as she would like to purchase music tracks and I am sure my daughter would then want those same tracks on her iPod & iPad]
    Do I have to download it to save on my Computer or the Mac Book Air Hard drive so that I can save them & play on our iPads or the iPod Touchs? What would happen if I on a later date to format my computer or the MBA hard drive to reinstall my OS-Would I loose access to my purchased music tracks as they would get erased during the process of hard drive format?
    I would appreciate if anyone could make it clear to me.
    Regards

    You buy one download from itunes, just as you buy one cd from the store.
    Once you buy it, then you can move/copy/backup the music wherever you like.
    It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files, docs,music,pics,etc to an external source ( external drive, dvd, cd, flash drive, network drive,etc).
    Your itunes purchases should be no different. They should be included in your regular backup of your computer.
    You can Google backup itunes library or similar for directions or just copy the entire itunes folder. Itunes also offers a way to do this:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2727383
    You can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod/iphone/ipad. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
    I certainly would not rely on that as your backup plan. The music should be included in your regular backup of your computer.

  • IPhone Not Recognizing Info Changes in iTunes

    Compared to the wave of other problems people seem to be having with the iOS 5, this is somewhat minor. Nonetheless, it's annoying:
    With certain music files when I edit info in iTunes (changing the artist name or capitalizing an album title, etc.) the changes will be reflected in iTunes but not my phone.
    I've restarted my phone several times, tried syncing, tried playing the song on the phone while connected and then syncing - nothing going. The only resolution I've found is to simply delete the files from my phone and do all the editing on my computer and then reload them.
    Anyone else having this problem and/or have a better solution?

    Tried reboot and reconnect on USB port... it appears the problem exists between iPhoto and iTunes... not the iPhone. In the iTunes synch window for Photos, all the albums on my Mac are shown with the number of photos in each. I created a new album specifically for photos that I wanted to transfer to my iPhone. This album comes up in the iTunes synch window, but it doesn't have the same number of photos as the same album does on iPhoto... it has only 1 or 2 pictures out of 8. It synchs these ok but is 'missing' the other six... thoughts?

  • Where does one change the default formatting for a URL (href)

    I want to have change the appearance of my href="#" tags so that they are not blue and underlined
    Want to do that with a CSS
    Do not know where to find and change the default setting in DW CS5 so that I make the changes globally
    Could I have different styles of href="#"?
    In the property list under what name is it in?
    Thanks
    erik

    Best practice would be to create an external style sheet and link to it in the <head> like this:
    <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="style_sheets/main_styles.css" />
    of course edit for your folder structure and file names.
    But you could test various styles by placing them in the <head> directly, like this:
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    a:link {
    color:#ffffff;
    text-decoration: none;
    a:visited {
    color:#ffffff;
    text-decoration: none;
    a:active {
    color:#ffffff;
    text-decoration: none;
    a:link:hover {
    color:#ffffff;
    text-decoration: none;
    a.home:link {
    color:#0099FF;
      text-decoration: none;
    a.home:visited {
    color:#0099FF;
      text-decoration: none;
    a.home:hover {
    color:#0099FF;
      text-decoration: none;
    a.home:active {
    color:#0099FF;
      text-decoration: none;
    -->
    </style>

  • Can 'Bubble Text' Contents of each Scripts be accessible outside UPK Script? Does each Bubble Text information gets stored in any Table format at backend? Can it be accessible outside "UPK Developer"?

    There is requirement of Mass Updation of Bubble Text Contents of group of Topics in one go.
    Standard process is to open respective Module/Section/Topic, and then modify Bubble text as per need. This will be time consuming if there are 50 Scripts where common bubble text needs to be placed. Hence is there any way by which Bubble Text contents can be accessed outside UPK Developer and then updating it in one go.

  • Where does the Ipod Maps App get its location from?

      Mine thinks it is in Queensland but it is in Victoria

    Location on the iPOd is determined by the location of a nearby wifi router that is in Apple's database of routers and their location.  The iPod does not have to be connected to the router, just within rage.  As of yet, nobody seems to know how to add to or correct Apple's database.

  • Where the history of Transaction Codes does get stored?

    Today when I was working on one issue in one SAP system on my PC and later on another system observed that the transaction codes (tcodes) which are there in history were the same for both the systems.
    Then I started searching for the table or a location where the transaction codes (tcodes) are getting stored which we entered on command line in SAP R3 system. Finally, after lot of search and some reading I found out the location.
    This is a simple but very interesting thing to know how Operating system stores the SAP commands.
    Below Steps
    Let’s first see the list of transactions which are entered on command line. Later we will be getting the same list from OS level.
    Logon to your SAP R3 system and see the history of tcodes on command line.
    Now find out the location where this tcodes are getting stored at OS level.
    Go to Start -> Run -> regedit and click ok. It will open the following screen.
    Expand the node HKEY_USERS.
    After that expand the selected node and again expand it.
    Click on Software -> SAP -> SAPGUIFront.
    Please note the path and you can directly open it and then compare it with your systems command line list.
    However, I was curious about the all other transactions which are not in this list which user entered on the command line. Hence found one more way to find this data.
    For that we need to go to my computer and click on Search and search the following path.
    SAPHistory<User Name>.mdb
    Once you click on Search it will give you the access file.
    So i want know is there any other Tcode or procedure to got the same........!
    Regards
    Ashish Chanekar

    file SAPHistory<User Name>.mdb conatins the transaction history.
    this is a Microsoft Access file, but it is password protected... and this is not publicly known.

  • C3-01: Where does music/vid media stored?

    Where does music/vid media files are stored when transferred from OVI suite? Does it automatically saved to the memory card or the hardware built memory. How do I save it directly to the memory card?

    The first step in the sync process is to create a backup.  On a mac this backup is located at
    ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup.  The backup does not included iTunes media as it is assumed to be in the iTunes library you are syncing with.  Also, as you have discovered, when you first sync with a new iTunes library iTunes will erase all iTunes media on the phone (music, videos, etc.) and replace it with the media in the library you are syncing with.  Photos from Camera Roll (which are taken by the phone) are part of the backup.  Photos in Photo Library (which were synced to your phone from your computer) are not; again, because it is assumed they are already on your computer as that is how they were synced to your phone in the first place.
    What, exactly, is still on your phone at this point?
