Where does Log files created for Timesten?

Hi!
my question id that where does log file are created ...my timetsen is installed on linux having locations:
Installation Directories
Times Ten Registry     /etc/TimesTen
Default Installation Directory     /d01/app/oracle/tt70/TimesTen/tt70
Default temporary directory     /tmp
Instance name     tt70
Instance Home Directory     /d01/app/oracle/tt70
Daemon Home Directory     /d01/app/oracle/tt70/TimesTen/tt70/info
DemoDataStore Directory     /d01/app/oracle/tt70/TimesTen/tt70/info
Documentation Directory     /d01/app/oracle/tt70/TimesTen/tt70/doc
LD_LIBRARY_PATH     /d01/app/oracle/tt70/TimesTen/tt70/lib
Startup Script     /d01/app/oracle/tt70/TimesTen/tt70/startup/tt_tt70
regards
Muh.Usman

The TimesTen daemon message logs are located in the daemon home directory which by default is <tt_install_dir>/info but can be changed to another location at install time.
A datastore's transaction log files are located by default in the same diredctory as the checkpoint files (specified by the DSN attribute Datastore) but can be placed eslewhere using the DSN attribute LogDir.
Again, this is all covered in the documentation. With all due respect, this forum is not intended to be a substitute for reading the comprehensive and well written documentation.

  • Where are temporary files created for "image capture"?

    Hi all
I have been using image capture with no problem whatsoever, until recently. I was scanning a big file and while it was saving it or something I closed the lid of the computer and interrupted the scan. Now the scanner can do a preview but is no longer able to "scan" the file that i see perfectly through preview. I think that the problem is that there is a corrupt temporary file somewhere that needs to be manually deleted. If you know where such files are stored or if you have a better idea, please let me know.

You may be on to the correct solution. I've seen this problem with a big printing job that a user had to cancel and then had to "go in" and delete the print job before they could print again. On the Mac, there is something called CUPS (something Unix Printing System) and it has a role in printing and I believe faxing. It "might" play a role in scanning through Image Capture but I'm not sure. Anyway give it a look and see if there is an incomplete scan job in there that you can delete.
Note: this looks like a website URL but it leads to CUPS on your Mac.
    http://127.0.0.1:631/jobs/
This may not be applicable to scanners but it's worth a look.

By default, the log files are located in the logs directory in the server installation directory.
    Example:
    <Directory>${LOGGER.LOGDIR}</Directory>
    what this meens: ${LOGGER.LOGDIR} ?

or what do i neet to write?
it is totaly not understandable from this example...
    big thanks for any halp
    cheinan

You can change LOGGER.LOGDIR in fms.ini to your preferred location i.e. D:\fmsLogs and restart FMS.
Now if you want to change for individual logs - you can change in Logger.xml - by default logger.xml will use value from fms.ini

  • Why does the file Name for file attached with Annotations "Attach File" (paperclip) become Unknown when Comments are Published?

Our company recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI for the purpose of using it for shared electronic reviews.  We are using Send for Shared Review created in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, and all the Comment tools work as expectedexcept the paperclip in Annotations.
When a Word or Excel or Image(png, jpeg) file is attached using the Annotations paperclip, the initiator can initially see and open it. But after Publish Comments is selected and the review file is closed, the file "Name" changes to "Unknown" (although the Description has the correct file name and extension).  The Modified information is Unknown, as is the Size and Compressed Size.
When the review file is then re-opened, even the initiator cannot open the file, although:
The file location is marked with the paperclip within the document.
The file name is shown in the Comments List with the initiator's name.
In the Attachments list (the paperclip beneath the Thumbnails and Bookmarks) the Name appears as Unknown, Description shows the file name, Modified is Unknown, Size is Unknown, and Compressed Size is Unknown.
The file Name cannot be edited, although the file Description can be.
We have followed the procedure described in the tutorials but cannot figure out how to troubleshoot this situation.  Since this feature was the reason for the purchase of Adobe Acrobat Pro IX, we would any help. Please don't leave out any basics since we are all new users.
We have several people with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and the rest have Adobe Reader XI and it is a Windows platform.  Can someone please give us some advice how to get this feature to work as described?

    FYI Rave,
There are some other forum entries with this exact same issue...:

  • Is there a way to sync my IPTC Core "date created" with my File Properties "Date File Created" for m

I am working with a massive file of images and part of the issue is that I need to match the Date Create in the IPTC Core to that of the File Properties "Date File Created" for each image. Is there a way to do that automatically?

The date data is complex.  Read through this post and see if it sheds any light on your question.  http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1171910

  • Why does multiple handles created for the file File (RW-) C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4940_none_d08cc06a442b34fc

I am analysing the file handles created by my desktop application and when i generate a report using handle.exe, in report i could see multiple file handles created for
    1) File  (RW-)   C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4940_none_d08cc06a442b34fc

I could see around 80 entries of file1 and around 5-10
     file 2 .
What my understanding about the WinSxS, should load the dll only once and should keep referencing the same dll. But what my results out from handle.exe contains multiple file handles created. Is there a glitch in system or is it expected behavior? If there
is a problem how to fix it?
My system configuration is as follows
     OS windows7 enterprise edition , service pack1..
64 bit os,  intel core i7 processor
    .net framework 4.5
    Thanks

  • Where does Abap Dataflow create the Abap program

Within Abap dataflow properties i have to give program name: which i gave as : Z_MaraXtract
The abap dataflow extracted data perfectly fine. it created a dat file in working folder and also populated data to template table.
Where does this Abap program "Z_MaraXtract: gets created?
Thanks a lot for the helpful info.

    Hi Raj,
You are probably looking for Z_MaraXtract on your DS box. This is the same thing I was looking for, for a long time.
This is the Abap program name. The file that DataServices uses is in the folder you defined in the data store, advanced,  Generated ABAP directory.
To the the OS filename on your DS server , rightclick on the ABAP Dataflow, properties, select the tab options and you will see a "Generated Abap filename" field. The name you put there is the physical filename on, say Windows. If you open that file (with notepad) you will see the ABAP program name  Z_MaraXtract.

  • Best log file format for multivariable non-continous time series

Databases or TDM(S) files are great, but what if you cannot use a database (due to the type of target) and TDM files are (seems) unsuitable because the data does not come in blocks of continous time series. What is the best file option for data logging?
    Scenario:
The number of variables you are going to log to a file can change during run-time
The data is not sampled at fixed intervals (they have been deadband filtered e.g.)
The files must be compact and fast to search through (i.e. binary files with known positions of the time stamps, channel descriptions etc.)
Must be supported on compact fieldpoint and RIO controllers
Right now we use our own custom format for this, but it does not support item no. 1 in the list above (at least not within the same file) and it would be much nicer to have an open format that other software can read as well.
    Any suggestions?
    MTO

I did some tests of the performance. For a months worth of data (2592000 rows) with 4 channels, I got the following results when reading all of the data:
    1. TDMS file written as blocks of 60 values (1 minute buffers):1,5 seconds.
    2. As test 1, but with a defrag run on the final file: 0,9 seconds
    3. As test 1 & 2, but with all the data written in one operation: 0,51 seconds
    3. Same data stored in binary file (1 header+2D array): 0,17 seconds.
So even if I could write everything in 1 go (which I cannot), reading a month of data is 3 times faster with a binary file. The application I have might get a lot of read-requests and will need to read much more than 1 month of data - so the difference is significant (reading a year of data if stored as monthly files would take me 12-18 seconds with TDMS files, but just 2 seconds with a binary file.
Because I'll be writing different groups of data at different rates, using the  advanced api to just get one (set) og header(s) is not an option.
TDMS files are very versatile, it is great to be able to dump a new group/channel into the file at any time, and to have a file format that is supported by other applications as well. However, if the number of writes are many and the size of each write is (has to be) small the performance gets a serious hit. In this particular case performance trumphs ease of use so I'll probably  need to rewrite our custom binary format to preallocate chunks for each group (feature request for TDMS? :-) ).

  • What are the log files created while running a mapping?

Hi Sasi , I have a doubt who actually generates the " Log Events ". Is it the Log Manager or Application services ?

Hi Anitha, The Integration service  will be generate two logs when the mapping runs 1) Session log  -- Has the details of the task ,session errors and load statistics..2) Workflow log -- Has the details of the workflow processing, and workflow errors..  The workflow log will be generated when the workflow started and the session log will be generated once the session intiated. For more detail Please refer the infa help docs... Normally the services will generate log  ex: IS and RS will log their activity...  The below process will happen the when the workflow inititated..[Copied fropm infa help docs] 1.#The Integration Service writes binary log files on the node. It sends  information about the sessions and workflows to the Log Manager.2.#The Log Manager stores information about workflow and session logs in the  domain configuration database. The domain configuration database stores  information such as the path to the log file location, the node that contains  the log, and the Integration Service that created the log.3.#When you view a session or workflow in the Log Events window, the Log Manager  retrieves the information from the domain configuration database to determine  the location of the session or workflow logs.4.#The Log Manager dispatches a Log Agent to retrieve the log events on each  node to display in the Log Events window.    ThanksSasiramesh

  • Servlet error: Security sensitive exception occured. , where is log files?

thank you for reading my post
i get this message , where should i look for log files ?
Servlet error: Security sensitive exception occured. Please consult application log for details.

I ran into this just myself last week.
We used to show the Exception type and a stacktrace in the browser as the default error message.
In 10.1.3.1 we've modified it so that the details of the application (ie the stack trace and exception) are output by default.
Avi indicated the correct log file to look at.
If you do want to revert to the old behaviour for development time, then you can do so by setting the attribute development="true" in the orion-web.xml file of the deployed application.
    <orion-web-app .... development="true"/>
    cheers
