Where does NWDS have workspace info?

Hi, all.
Let's say i have the following env.
  From : NWDS 2004s SP9  workspace=D:\tmp
  To   : NWDS 2004s SP10
After uninstalling NWDS 2004s SP9, i installed SP10 but the
workspace is kept as the D:\tmp even though i deleted all the
related dirs and files!
Where does NWDS have workspace info? i checked also windows
registry but i couldn't find.
  Best Regards.
  Sejoon

Hi,
1. Right Click on ur IDE icon and go to the properties.
2. In the target location ur IDE installation path will be shown.
3. After the path leave a space and then paste this <b>-data "D:\<Ur workspace>"</b>
4. Go to ur NWDS and then in windows>preferences>Workbench>workspace>Browse ur workspace path as specified in step 3 and then finish it off.

  • Besides the obvious, does anyone have any info. as to what this means:"Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired."

Besides the obvious, does anyone have any info. as to what this means:"Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired."

what do you mean by the obvious?, it's a permission issue, ARD must run as systems administrator to boardcast, tunnel IPv6 calls, etc.

  • Where does ARD store password info

Has anyone else had this issue, which is absolutely infuriating? From time to time ARD freaks out, does something stupid and its absolutely absurd.
We just recently changed the passwords on our servers, simple enough, change the passwords in ARD, wrong. ARD is somehow magically recovering the original password the servers where first given.
I need to know where it stores its login info, or if even if the passwords are stored in a separate place I dont care. I just need to be able to do work on the server, and ARD just doesnt think I should.
Please help me, Im getting desperate.

They are encrypted and hidden, I don't know the actual location. What you need to do is change them in ARD then Quit the app then launch ARD to use it. The changes are made permeant when you close the app. So, if it crashed on you any changes were lost.. so it went with what it knew, and was saved.. it didn't really recover the old passwords.

  • Does anyone have any info on MacKeeper?

    Hi,
I was prompted to install MacKeeper prior to shutting down last night, but now I'm questioning if this is actually an "Apple" program or is someone trying to phish my system?
Does anyone have any information on this?
    Thank you!

I don't want to get into the thick of this debate, some people on here I respect and trust for judgement, but there is a lot to be said, and not said nicely, about software that pops up on you and declares your computer to be infected witih viruses...as though it could tell when it does not actually have access to your computer.
I believe you are referring to MacDefender, not MacKeeper. It is an honest mistake - one I made myself. Then someone called me on it and I had to re-evaluate the advice I had been given and had accepted unconditionally, without testing it myself. One thing led to another and here I am.
And when some good people like Phil Stokes go to great lengths to devise a procedure to completely remove a program like MacKeeper, and make it available free of charge, it gets my attention.
I suggest giving it more attention. Install MacKeeper and then remove it. Then re-evaluate Phil Stokes' scary-sounding instructions on how to remove MacKeeper cache files and log files.

  • Where does Photoshop get date info?

Where does Photoshop (and Bridge) pull the timestamp information it uses for "date modified" from?
The time/date on my computer (from the system tray) are correct, but when I work on pictures they get a "date modified" stamp of February, 2036. New files created through Bridge get the same timestamp.
    Where do I fix this?
    TIA for your help.

Never mind. I messed with it a while and finally stumbled on the fix. Thanks anyway!

  • Where does Spotlight store the info when it catalogs a Hard Drive?

Before I realized it, Spotlight was cataloging 6 hard drive (partitions) that I use for BackUp. Now I'm sure this is taking up some hard drive space, and I'd like to find out where these files are stored so I can trash them.
Does anyone know where they are stored? Can you selectively find one (but not trash my main HD info?)
    Thanks,
    Steve

Spotlight stores its indexing data on the volume that is indexed in an invisible folder named .Spotlight-V100, so it isn't using any of the space on your startup drive. Put the volumes you don't want indexed into the Privacy pane of the Spotlight panel in System Preferences.
BTW, if your backups are on the same drive as your startup volume, that is, you have simply partitioned a single drive to have everything, just in different volumes on that drive, your backups won't do you any good if the drive fails. And they do fail sooner or later.

  • Does anyone have any info re 3.5mm jack microphones on the Mac Pro?

Please, don't refer me to the manufacturer...am working on that, in the meantime i'm looking for anyone that might have OTHER information or suggestions regarding this issue...
Bought a GE PC Microphone, a very simple on with a 3.5MM jack. The package specifically says "Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems"
I plug it into the Audio Line In on the back of my Pro (just purchased barely a few weeks ago) and the nothing happens...no sound is registered or recorded.
I've gone to preferences pane and selected "Line In" as opposed to "Digital Line In", and nothing....
Is there some silly thing I'm over looking. When I read the Mac Pro User Manual regarding that particular port it refers to use of:
    " Analog audio line-in port
Connect self-powered microphones, MP3 and CD players, and other devices with analog
    capability"
The mic is simple, has no power source, only the 3.5MM jack...should it not work?
Any help (other than the already perfectly obvious contact the mfr of the mic, or plain old return/exchange the mic" will be greatly appreciated. If that's what i have to do ,it's what i'd have to do, but i'd like some validation that there is NOT anything I am missing before doing so.
    Thanks!

    Hi JamilMereck,
first of: you can edit previous posts in a time-frame of some minutes (haven't measured it ...).
    After that they become non-editable.
I admit I have used microphones some years back with and without PCs (have switched to Macs 2.5 years ago).
But I always had the mics connected to a mixing desk, which provided Phantom Power.
Since I gave up my 'Singing Career' (wasn't good enough) I also abandoned the use of microphones.
    To your questions:
It might be that PCs with specified Microphone-In ports are also providing power to them or the microphones themselves do not need any power.
And the 'compatible with...' refers to the usage on computers in general.
The iMic from Griffin works with OSX 10.5 (scroll down on the webpage to 'Product Compatibility' the left icon symbolizes OSX 10.5).
As said above, I am no longer up-to-date in usage of microphones, but when you want to use a microphone with the standard connector you have to get either a microphone preamp or a mixer.
If you use the mic only (really only) with your Mac Pro, you might wanna look for USB-connected mics from Samson or Audio Technica for example.
And don't get upset, I understand you fully and any kind of 'insult' is for the manufacturers and not for me

  • Where does the new Workspace name go?

InDesign is now locked up because I can't find the place to type in a new Workspace name. Nothing is evident and I get the error tone every time I hit anything. Nothing works, it won't save, and I don't want to lose the work since I saved last.
    Where is it?

Thanks for your prompt reply. I don't know why it didn't come up the first time.

  • So does anyone have any info on if apple know about all the problems with the iTunes update?

    By problems I mean:
. The unability to sync music from your laptop/computer to your apple device
    . The slowness
    . Unable to log in
. Being told that the laptop/computer being used isn't recognised
. Clicking on music and it flicking through really quick without playing and then not playing after, but still being on apple device.
+ all the other problems i've seen mentioned on this page. It's pretty clear the new updates have glitches that urgently need fixing and a lot of people are encountering some or multiple of these problems.
I've not seen or heard any announcement whether they know or not or if they're doing something to fix this, because they need to. Urgently.

  • Bounce does not have tempo info in Mainstage

Hi ...I recorded a project in Logic Pro 9 that I want to have as a playback track in Mainstage and have the playback sync to the tempo in Mainstage. I have followed the procedure as I understand it to bounce all the tracks to an Aiff file. However no matter what I try to do regsrding the bounce ....I cannot choose the sync option in Mainstage. I assume this is because the file does not contain the tempo information I used in Logic (Mainstage indicates this is why you cannot use the sync option). Yes I am a newbie to Logic Pro ...but I have read through all the documentation on this and keep coming up with zero....somebody help if you can.

  • Where does ARD pull dns info from?

I am in the process of converting machines from static ip addys to dhcp addys. Most of the machines are getting their correct dns names, but a few are still showing up as their old dns names. (This is in ARD's scanner, set to show dns names)
dig -x or hostname on the affected machines shows the correct name, so I don't know if this is an ARD error, or where else to check. Before I contacted my networking folks, I wanted to make sure that I have my side configured correctly.
So, if anyone knows what else I can check, I would appreciate it..
    Thanks

Thanks! I guess that matches the numbers. Looking though iCloud preferences, and Photos Preferences... is there a way to turn off iPhoto Library while keeping Photostream going in the Photos app?

  • Does anyone have any info or used this graphics card?

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to find a way to hook up my Play Sation 2 to my Mac (since I don't have a TV) so that I can use the display that I have to play games on. I found this card but I can't find anyone who knows anything or reviews about the Alchemy TV DVR card here is the link;
    http://www.miglia.com/products/video/alchemytvdvr/index.html
This one is in my price range and on the surface looks exactly like what I'm looking for. Do any of you know anything about this or something around this $$ range that will work? Thanks again in advance for all the help, and any would be great.

well...i have no clue why spending $50 on a cheap TV isnt on your mind instead of investing in that AlchemyTV DVR (which isn't really a graphcis card).
sure the card sounds awesome, capture analog TV and record TV onto your HD.
just like some tivo but for your Mac.
    good luck.
