I'm having a wee posting spree today after lacking the inclination to respond to the same old threads for the last few days. But I do love it when people get all in a tizzy complaining about stuff that is right under their nose (so to speak). So I guess my criteria for responding is often based as much on how big a smile it puts on my face, as to how much I am helping the OP. Unfortunately that irreverent approach gets me into trouble at times, and one of the moderators deleted one of my illustrated replies just a few days ago. It took me a few minutes to work out why it had been deleted. The subtext was 'risking one eye', and I eventually realized that the implied 'risk' could definitely be seen as offensive to some people.

What is the Oracle Best Practice for install/deployment and configuration of ODI 11g for Disaster Recovery?
We have a project that is using Oracle ODI 11g (11.1.1.5).
We have configured all the other Oracle FMW components as per the Oracle DR EDG guides. Basically using the Host ip name/aliasing concept to ‘trick’ the secondary site into thinking
it is primary and continue working with minimal (or no) manual reconfiguration. But will this work for ODI? The FMW DR guide has sections for SOA, WebCenter and IdM, but nothing for ODI.
Since ODI stores so much configuration information in the Master Repository..when this DB gets ‘data guarded’ to the secondary site and promoted to Primary…ODI will still think it is at the ‘other’ site. Will this break the actual agents running the scenarios?

We are looking for a solution that will allow a graceful switchover/failover with minimal manual re-configuration.

The file browser was more or less the precursor to bridge in photoshop elements 1,2 and 3 and photoshop 7 and cs, except it was built into the actual application instead of being separate like bridge.
The file browser was not an organizer as such, which was also along side the file browser in photoshop elements 3 on windows.

Where does one find the WPA-key for their airport express?

I'm trying to have a Playstation 3 access my airport express network. It sees the network but when I get to the security settings (which is WPA-2) it asks for my WPA key. I don't know where to find that. I went into my computer's keychain utility to find it, but I am rather lost there. Any help?

I now am able to log on, thanks. I typed this in earlier and it said that it was an invalid key. Not sure what settings were doing things before. Thanks alot. However, I'm having another problem.
Since I got my airport express I have been having trouble logging onto certain sites that I use to with just the cable modem. The progress bar in Safari goes about half way and then stops. Firefox browser does the same thing on the same sites. It is only a just a couple sites like Yahoo home page for emails. When I tried to log into the Playstation Network, the same thing happened, it won't access it and then times out. My OS version is 10.6.8 if that helps.

Any AppleCare enrollment number for PowerBook or MacBook Pro will work for the MacBook Pro. The oldest boxes only say PowerBook. Slightly newer ones will say PowerBook/MacBook Pro, and the newest ones will say MacBook Pro. Any of them will work as long as the enrollment number hasn't been used yet.
Same story for the MacBook and MacBook Air. The oldest boxes will say iBook, the newer ones will say iBook/MacBook, and the newest ones say MacBook/MacBook Air. Even the iBook enrollment numbers will work for the MacBook Air.

Hi, I need a stand alone suite of applications, CS or later, preferably later, but one that works well with either a ppc mac or an intel core2duo mac. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where the best place is to purchase an older version that will work? This is unless Adobe has allowed and defined what a year of use is, in such a way that someone who's restricted in the amount of time to use and learn the software, can purchase a years worth of use and updates and have 5yrs to use a defined year's worth of user time and all updates in that year? And once the block of time is used be able to purchase additional blocks of time. It would definitely make a sale with me if Adobe "offered" this, as I have too many responsibility restrictions to be able to learn for an extended time period in one sitting, but I do have a great desire to learn and use this software. If Adobe doesn't offer this, I hope they will in the future.

Thank you, It figures that that would be the case. Question: Where would the best place be to look for this, and what should I be aware of so as to make sure it is a working copy? I figure it won't be supported being it is old and from another party, but I do want something that "works", and something I can also get the training manuals/dvds for. I wouldn't mind the subscription option if Adobe would package a minimum amount of hours and updates that one could use in a certain length of time, say 3-5 yrs, for those who are lite users who haven't the time to totally dedicate themselves to the use and learning of the software due to their plate being full already. If one used up this block of time within a year, then the normal subscription rules would apply with unlimited use within that subscription year.

So am I and there's no problem. In brief, almost everything revolves around the Option(alt) key. Here are some examples:
é - To get this you press Option(alt)+e, let go of the keys and then press e.
ü - To get this you press Option(alt)+u, let go of the keys and then press u.
î - To get this you press Option(alt)+i, let go of the keys and then press i.
Additionally, what you can do, if you haven't already, is enable Keyboard Viewer which will allow you to see where the hidden grammatical thingy wotsits are. To enable keyboard viewer do the following:
1. Fire up System Preferences
2. Select International
3. Select the Input Menu tab
4. Tick the Keyboard Viewer box and also ensure that the "Show input menu in menu bar" box (at the bottom of the window) is ticked.
That's it. All you have to do now is click on the flag icon at the top right of the menubar and select Keyboard Viewer. Press Option(alt) and you'll see which keys have hidden symbols and what they are. Press Option(alt)+Shift and you'll view different hidden symbols. Try different key combinations based around Command(Apple), Option(alt), Ctrl and Shift keys. To quit Keyboard Viewer simply click on the first radio button from the set of three that are on the top left of the window.

TS3276 Following above directions, I clicked on Window, but there was no option for Connection Doctor, the next step. Where does one find that?

When asked to povide an email password (after you set the mailbox up & have been using it), you are told to go to Window. Then choose Connection Doctor. There is no such option under Window. How do you get to the Connection Doctor?

I just checked again in Mtn Lion, which is what should be on your new machine, and see this in Mail. So, all I can suggest is for you to reinstall the OS. Boot into recovery mode (restart, holding down the CMD+R keys). Alternatively, contact Apple's Express Lane and let them deal with it, since it's a new machine.

I just took it out of the package and tred to follow the instructions in the quick start but after choosing the region,country,& language the link goes nowhere and says the requested document doesn't exist. It doesn't seem to be on any database I can access at creative.com. Does anyone know if it's called something else?

The weather widget does not come on the iPad like it does on the phone and the iPod Touch. There are tons of weather apps in the apps store and lots of them are free.
Have a look around the app store - I'm guessing that youwill find one that you like.

If you mean that you've forgotten your answers to your security questions, then if have a rescue email address on your account (an alternate email address is different) you can use that to reset them : If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions
If you don't have a rescue email address you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security
If your country isn't on that page then try this form to contact Support : https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset, and if you don't already have a rescue email address, you can then add one for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses

Since Appigo Sync is no longer available I am forced to find another app that will sync my iCal tasks with my iPhone and iPad. I came across iPronto To Do and downloaded it onto my iPhone. Apparently, I need another app for my computer called iProntoSync?
